We have a hidden exotic fruit orchard tucked away through rolling green hills, perched over the Hamakua cliffs, overlooking the pacific.
We sell our fruits ripe and cut ready to eat at our roadside fruit stand, open 10-6 daily including holidays! We serve local fresh juices and machete open coconuts to drink ice cold.
We grow mango, durian, lilikoi, star fruit, chocolate sapote, buddhas hand citrus, finger limes, tangerines and tangelos, jackfruit, tree grapes, mangosteen, white pineapples, mountain apples, berries, spices and much more. We are home to dozens of rescue animals, many who came from Puna during the 2018 lava flow. Meet peaceful sheep, lambs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese and a lovable pet pig. Not to mention our friendly farm cats.

Mahalo, for your interest in visiting Big Island Farms located half way between the Historic Town of Honoka'a and the beautiful Waipi'o Valley. We are a permaculture based farm that hosts students from all over the world interested in learning more about sustainability, permaculture farming, Hawaiian culture and much more. During our off season, we open up the farm for you to visit and enjoy the beautiful Aina (land) and facilities.
Your stay with us could vary, from relaxing and reading a good book on one of our many decks or hiking through our upper orchards to find the on property waterfall that runs most of the year.
Our property is 65 acres with 50 acres of Macadamia Nut orchards and free roaming sheep and cows. The lower 15 acres consist of many different gardens, a green house (please do not enter), multiple Food Forests, 8 Cabanas, 2 classrooms 4 showers, 3 composting toilets and a kitchen with common area.
Each cabana is screened in 360º with views, two bunkbeds (sleeps 4), air mattresses, (Bring your own Sleeping Bag/Pillows) shelves, clothes lines on outside and lockable doors. There is no electricity in the cabanas but there are power strips available in the common area.
The common area consists of a large deck with picnic tables, Wifi access (pw: pickalltheweeds), power strips for charging electronics, canopies for when it rains, a 2-burner hotplate for cooking, pots, pans, plates, utensils, cups, dry food storage and a full sized fridge with freezer. Please keep the area clean.
We also offer morning Breakfast Basket options:
Small basket $ - 2 Papayas, 6 bananas, 2 cups of coffee.
Large basket $ - 4 papayas, 10 bananas, morning coffee during your stay.
Please keep in mind the fruit may vary depending on what is ripe.

In order to preserve water we utilize clean non-smelling composting toilets. We also have 4 hot water showers, 2 sinks and vanity areas. Please keep showers to 5 min or less, Mahalo.
If you come with a 4-wheel drive vehicle you are welcome to drive farther up on to the property and park closer to your cabana, just follow the Parking signs. We do not recommend you drive up with cars or low vehicles as the terrain is a bit rough, instead please park down in front in one of the parking spaces.

I built this cabin with exciting plans to host and share with guests. It has a beautiful ocean view with 3 separate beds (Queen, Twin to King convertible, and another twin). The off-grid setup offers solar power, hot propane showers, flush toilet (all tioletries to be placed in garbage/ NOT flushed). Kitchenette options include Propane camp stovetop on the lanai, microwave, electric skillet, french press for coffee, ice maker, and an outdoor bar area with picnic table. Glamping at its finest!
This is a cabin in Hawaii, When visiting Hawaii, you may see and experience things like geckos and ants. We actually enjoy our friendly geckos at Sailors Rest so please don't offended when you see one trying to hang out with you. During your stay, please respectfully keep the place tidy and clean with food in the supplied sealed containers and/or in the fridge to help avoid ants and other unwanted pests.
Also, if you're thinking about renting a Fat Tire E-Bike while your visiting Volcano or elsewhere, please let me know. I offer a rental to cruise around Kaʻū for a fraction of the cost.

We have a hidden exotic fruit orchard tucked away through rolling green hills, perched over the Hamakua cliffs, overlooking the pacific.
We sell our fruits ripe and cut ready to eat at our roadside fruit stand, open 10-6 daily including holidays! We serve local fresh juices and machete open coconuts to drink ice cold.
We grow mango, durian, lilikoi, star fruit, chocolate sapote, buddhas hand citrus, finger limes, tangerines and tangelos, jackfruit, tree grapes, mangosteen, white pineapples, mountain apples, berries, spices and much more. We are home to dozens of rescue animals, many who came from Puna during the 2018 lava flow. Meet peaceful sheep, lambs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese and a lovable pet pig. Not to mention our friendly farm cats.
We are a community of a few passionate farmers and fruit lovers. There’s a family- myself Rose, my partner Matthew and our daughter Mela, plus several awesome guys and girls who help out in different areas to grow our lives together!

Mahalo, for your interest in visiting Big Island Farms located half way between the Historic Town of Honoka'a and the beautiful Waipi'o Valley. We are a permaculture based farm that hosts students from all over the world interested in learning more about sustainability, permaculture farming, Hawaiian culture and much more. During our off season, we open up the farm for you to visit and enjoy the beautiful Aina (land) and facilities.
Your stay with us could vary, from relaxing and reading a good book on one of our many decks or hiking through our upper orchards to find the on property waterfall that runs most of the year.
Our property is 65 acres with 50 acres of Macadamia Nut orchards and free roaming sheep and cows. The lower 15 acres consist of many different gardens, a green house (please do not enter), multiple Food Forests, 8 Cabanas, 2 classrooms 4 showers, 3 composting toilets and a kitchen with common area.
Each cabana is screened in 360º with views, two bunkbeds (sleeps 4), air mattresses, (Bring your own Sleeping Bag/Pillows) shelves, clothes lines on outside and lockable doors. There is no electricity in the cabanas but there are power strips available in the common area.
The common area consists of a large deck with picnic tables, Wifi access (pw: pickalltheweeds), power strips for charging electronics, canopies for when it rains, a 2-burner hotplate for cooking, pots, pans, plates, utensils, cups, dry food storage and a full sized fridge with freezer. Please keep the area clean.
We also offer morning Breakfast Basket options:
Small basket $ - 2 Papayas, 6 bananas, 2 cups of coffee.
Large basket $ - 4 papayas, 10 bananas, morning coffee during your stay.
Please keep in mind the fruit may vary depending on what is ripe.

In order to preserve water we utilize clean non-smelling composting toilets. We also have 4 hot water showers, 2 sinks and vanity areas. Please keep showers to 5 min or less, Mahalo.
If you come with a 4-wheel drive vehicle you are welcome to drive farther up on to the property and park closer to your cabana, just follow the Parking signs. We do not recommend you drive up with cars or low vehicles as the terrain is a bit rough, instead please park down in front in one of the parking spaces.

I built this cabin with exciting plans to host and share with guests. It has a beautiful ocean view with 3 separate beds (Queen, Twin to King convertible, and another twin). The off-grid setup offers solar power, hot propane showers, flush toilet (all tioletries to be placed in garbage/ NOT flushed). Kitchenette options include Propane camp stovetop on the lanai, microwave, electric skillet, french press for coffee, ice maker, and an outdoor bar area with picnic table. Glamping at its finest!
This is a cabin in Hawaii, When visiting Hawaii, you may see and experience things like geckos and ants. We actually enjoy our friendly geckos at Sailors Rest so please don't offended when you see one trying to hang out with you. During your stay, please respectfully keep the place tidy and clean with food in the supplied sealed containers and/or in the fridge to help avoid ants and other unwanted pests.
Also, if you're thinking about renting a Fat Tire E-Bike while your visiting Volcano or elsewhere, please let me know. I offer a rental to cruise around Kaʻū for a fraction of the cost.

Weekend Trip to 🌈 Rainbow’s End Farm & Homestead!
We enjoyed our comfy bed and deck perch in the jungle. The open kitchen was lovely to cook in. Wendy was away, but communication was excellent, and the caretakers were available, helpful and welcoming. We were driving a Honda Fit with very low clearance, so we drove the rocky road VERY slowly, and planned to come and go only once a day (we spent two nights). I would stay there again for sure, but only if I had a vehicle with higher clearance.

I loved treehouse living at Rainbow’s End. This is my happy place! Waking up to birds talking, surrounded by greenery and trees, in a (very) comfortable bed (with mosquito net) is one of my very favorite things. Super relaxing, great getaway. I will definitely be back! Thank you! ♥️🌈

We loved staying at Wendy’s! She was an incredibly generous host and communicated really well. As soon as we landed in Kona, she let us know that a volcano was fountaining, told us to head straight there, and had no issues with our late check-in as a result! Literally a once in a lifetime opportunity we would have missed if not for Wendy.
The space itself was beautiful. Wendy’s property is gorgeous and she gave us a lovely tour of all the fruit trees she’s planted. The little cabin we stayed in was cozy and we loved having breakfast out in the deck. If we’re ever in the area again, we’d stay at Wendy’s in a heartbeat.

We booked this room to extend our trip, and it was perfect. The space was both spacious and cozy, with thoughtful touches like a fridge and toaster oven that made our stay extra comfortable. The view from the room was incredible — a beautiful breeze and scenery we could’ve enjoyed for hours.
Our host was truly the best. Their local recommendations were spot-on and added so much to our trip. We’re so grateful for their kindness and hospitality.

We had such an amazing experience here! The sunset views alone made this stay unforgettable — truly some of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. Our host went above and beyond, from sharing wonderful local recommendations to graciously allowing us to extend our stay when we weren’t ready to leave.
The property was peaceful, well cared for, and perfect for unwinding. We loved having a place to dry our towels and swimsuits after long days outside, and the fresh tangelo from the garden was such a special touch. You can really tell how much care and intention goes into making guests feel welcome here.
We’re already talking about coming back. Highly, highly recommend this stay!

We loved this location. So close to lots of the activities we had planned around Kona. Also not far from restaurants and a laundromat.
The room was close to the parking area. We had a little decking where we could dry our swimwear. The room was nice and spacious so we could spread out our suitcases. Didn’t explore the farm much because it was raining but loved patting the cat that liked to sleep on the decking. The room also felt very private and the farm is behind a locked gate.

We loved this luxury yurt, we wished we spend more time here. Everything is just so nice and lovely. They had an amazing bathroom with extreme pressurized shower, which my bf loved. They made us breakfast sandwiches with fresh papaya and coffee. You also get to pet 2 lovely dogs and a cat, with a very stunning views of the ocean by their pool! We were so spoiled! If you made it this far, book it!!!

We had the most amazing time at Vicky and Casey's Yurt. From the breakfast in the morning to the outdoor shower after being out all day. The welcome greeting from Casey and the friendly dogs started our stay off on the right foot. Everything was clean and tidy. We will definitely be back. Wish we could have stayed longer. Easy access to the volcano and beaches.

If you’re reading this stop what you’re doing and just BOOK IT, you’ll thank me later! Not only was this the best glamping accommodation I’ve ever had, but on top of that Casey & Vicky provided a level of service you’d only expect from a five star resort. Not to mention it was at an incredibly affordable price. Their property is gorgeous, providing a high end ranch style feel with many animals on the property as well as high end accommodations and amenities making it a truly luxurious experience.
Although the yurt and property was incredibly impressive, I have to say that Casey and the service he provided was probably the highlight of this stay. He was professional, personable, and incredibly helpful! He cooked an amazing breakfast each morning that was enjoyed on their patio/pool area with a view. He also provided great recommendations for things to do in the area and great conversation overall. I can’t say enough good things about Casey and the paradise he decides to share with his guests. An absolutely amazing stay overall! 11/10 experience that I would definitely do again

I loved the camping site, super clean bathroom, spacious shower, paper toilet so soft, dogs are very cute, convenient electrical power charge, drinkable water accessible for free, a cozy place to cook our meals after sunset. Macadamias and mango from trees were delicious! Our host was welcoming and well prepared for our stay.
