Now however, the valley is mostly wilderness interspersed with taro fields (Taro is a traditional Hawaiian staple food) and a couple of dozens of inhabitants. Waipiʻo Valley Road is closed to non-residents. Visitor access to the valley floor and the subsequent valleys is only possible as part of a tour or if you know someone in the valley. The Waipiʻo Lookout is still accessible for everyone. Waipio Valley is a stunning scenic destination with a black sand beach, beautiful waterfalls and Hawaiian historical & cultural significance. It is a very spiritual place of healing, a place of connection with nature and a walk through the past, where time ceases to exist.

Hapu'u Ferns are also within our mini-Rainbow Eucalyptus Rainforest. Enjoy the stunning 90 - 100 degree ocean views of Hawaii Island's Western Coastline, as well as the new Volcanic Vent (Known as Fissure 8) created by the 2018 Eruption of the Kileaua Volcano. The Hawaii Volcano National Park (HVNP) is a 14 mile or 20 minute drive from our campsite. HVNP has a visitor's center to get information about the park, hiking trails throughout its boundaries, steam vents and the awe-inspiring caldera, which is the location of the volcano's lava pool. At night, the glow from the lava in the caldera can be seen at the park. Our campsite is also an 18 mile or 29 minute drive from the Hilo International Airport and the town of Hilo, Hawaii.

We have been the stewards of this aina for over 21 years. When we purchased it in 2002, there were only several varieties of fruit, now there are over 30 and growing. We make our own soil, and have trucked in many hundreds of truckloads of mulch to do that, and constantly make soil with our composting efforts. We are on a dormant volcano, Hualalai, that last erupted in 1801. The weather is ideal for growing most types of tropical fruit and many varieties of vegetables.

Welcome to Edenova! We are a 1 year old food forest/ sustainable farm located in Eden Roc, Hawai'i at 1800ft. So far we have about 18 fruit trees growing along with a small vegetable bed, herbs, and numerous flowers and ornamentals. Incredible amounts of love has been poured into this land and there's an infinite amount more to come. This is an ideal setup for car campers and vanlifers. You are welcome to carcamp and/or bring your own tent and pitch it anywhere on the freshly cindered open area :) Two of the best restaurants on the island (Dimple Cheek and Da Beans Greens Cafe) are within a 13 minute drive, along with a Wai Puna (free) water filling station, post office, and gas station + convenience store. We have a small outdoor kitchen with a 2 burner stove, and a 250 gallon water tank for washing dishes. You will need to bring your own drinking water. We will have a hot water heater + shower setup soon. We have a professionally build Humanure Composting toilet. We are less than 400 feet from the paved road so any vehicle will be able to drive straight onto the land.
