Goat Camp

4 sites · RVs, Tents7 acres · Jenkinsburg, GA
When I moved onto Windy Lane as a child in third grade, our road was a country dirt road. I have a lot more neighbors now, but my little piece of heaven has remained country.  My husband, Randy and I enjoy the peace and quiet we get and the plus of being close to the Interstate for when we need to make trips to Atlanta.  My land is still surrounded by a fence, now rusted, that my Daddy put up when I was a child. The property is big enough for us to enjoy and small enough for us to maintain.  My wildlife camera has captured photos of deer, coyotes, foxes, opossums, raccoons and an occasional dog and cat from the neighborhood.  We hope you will stop by and visit with us. Safe travels and may the road rise to meet you and the wind be at your back!Learn more about this land:Pitch your tent in your favorite spot on our 5+ acre lot. Our niche is privacy and our cute little Nigerian Dwarf goats grazing nearby. Once you are on our property, you will quickly forget you are just a mile from Interstate 75. We are located off Exit 205 and are 40 miles south of Atlanta and 35 miles north of Macon. We are just 5 miles from High Falls State Park and Indian Springs State Park (where kayaking, boating, fishing, hiking, etc. are available). We are just 3 miles from Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary and 6 miles from Dauset Trails Nature Center. Both are must sees for animal lovers. If you love stockcar racing, we are just 18 miles from Atlanta Motor Speedway. Activities there aren't just for "race weekends."If shopping is more "your thing," we are just 7 miles south of Tanger Outlet Mall in Locust Grove, Georgia.

Blackbird Farm

3 sites · RVs, Tents100 acres · Buena Vista, GA
We are a working aquaponics farm, located in Marion Co Georgia. From maps it shows that we are about 13 miles straight line distance from Columbus Georgia. That would be true if you could drive through Fort Moore, which you can't so in reality we are actually about 35 mins or 23 miles from Columbus. The drive is pleasant with very little traffic. Our campsite sits beyond the gate in front of our small farm/general store. There are rustic bathrooms with hot water, free WiFi and plenty to do! We encourage you to hike, bike, and explore. The store is not open at this time, and the Greenhouse is available by request. Deer, coyotes, wild hogs, and other creatures roam freely. Any pets must stay fully leashed at all times (see below). Our day starts early in the summer as we harvest for market. We make every effort to be very quiet, but the field crops are close to your camp site. We will never run a tractor until after 11am. You may hear the greenhouse fans kick on starting around 9am when the system starts warming up. Pets - Are welcome if contained on a leash at all times. Bathrooms - are located next to the store and a short walk from your tent site. Site - Is on level ground for tents campers RV vans and more. There is a fire pit, picnic table and water spigot. The water is not well water and comes from the county main water line. There is a main highway leading up to our gate so you do not have to off road to get to the property.

Surewood ForRest

We own a small farm on 64 total acres with around 59 wooded. We have 4 primitive camping sites with lots of woods, wildlife, and two small creeks. We are even located on a short dirt road to give you that country feel. All of our sites are spread out from one another and you will feel secluded in the woods with nature. On our farm are free range chickens, peacocks, goats and a donkey in a pasture, turkeys (wild and domesticated), honeybees (in the field), and a few outdoor cats. We enjoy our animals and nature. We want to share this experience with others so we have decided to rent a few camping spots that we have shared over the years with our children. Enjoy the peaceful nights and the sounds of nature and star lit skies. In the daytime check out our farm animals, walk the trails, or explore the woods. Guest are welcome to pet and feet the animals if they choose. We are conveniently located less than two miles from a Dollar General, three miles from several restaurants right of I75, 8 miles to nearest Walmart, under 20 minutes to High Falls State Park, under 25 minutes to Dauset Trails Nature Center, and under 30 minutes to Indian Springs State Park. All of this located close to our property while being only 3 miles from the I75 on ramp at exit 205.

Camp with rescue cats

3 sites · RVs, Tents6 acres · Griffin, GA
Learn more about this land:Snuggle rescue cats on our Halloween themed property. Located about 15 minutes from Senoia GA (for those walking dead fans), we have forest and field spots ideal for pitching a tent and enjoying our picturesque and unique property. Our hand raised resident turkeys and geese wander the property. so please keep dogs leashed during the day or until we lock up the birds for the evening.. Our famous rescue house cats “The Acro Cats” are frequently in their outdoor Catio and we can arrange a purrsonal visitation for a donation to our rescue. They love attention and may even perform a trick or two. Our “haunted theme” tour bus serves as a common area and has a kitchen, with a sink, microwave, toaster and refrigerator. There is also a large screen TV with a DVD player. WiFi is iffy and depends on the weather. There is also a bathroom with a toilet, sink and semi working shower. (Hoping to get it fully working). Soap and Hand sanitizer is also provided. The back of the bus is available for sleeping for an extra fee. It has 4 built in bunks and we can even provide overnight feline companionship with some of our foster kittens. We have one large fire pit area and a smaller portable one, depending on the site. Firewood can be scavenged in the forest or we can provide a bundle for a small fee. We have some lighting, but flashlights and headlamps are recommended since the terrain is uneven in some spaces. We have one spot that an RV or trailer can pull into as well. It is fairly level, but you may need to make adjustments. For tent sites we can run a standard electric cord out to you, depending on how close you are to the main house. Or you can use the common area for electrical needs.
