Gary was so welcoming and kind! My partner and I really enjoyed our one night getaway in the woods! It was peaceful and super close to Helen! We both loved the spaciousness of the tent and amenities provided. The coffee maker was a welcome addition as well as the hot tub! However, keep in mind that the hot tub is not by the campsite, but near the host's house, so bring a swimsuit! I read the reviews prior, so I knew this. The host's house is far enough away to feel private, but close enough to have some peace of mind. He has several dogs as a reviewer mentioned, but they are SUPER sweet and friendly. The only time I heard them bark was when he was on his way to bring us our delicious breakfast! Don't go in expecting something super fancy. This is camping...but in comfort! I wasn't feeling very good when we decided last minute to camp, so this was just what I needed. Nature with some little comforts of home and security. Thank you Gary. We truly appreciate your hospitality and the effort you put into making your guests feel comfortable and welcome! You're awesome!

Herzen Platz campsite offers a tranquil escape surrounded by nature, with a creek running through it that adds to the peaceful ambiance. Gary's warm welcome made it feel like home, and his hospitality was top-notch. He lives on site, but strikes the perfect balance between giving you all the privacy you need and being available for a chat whenever you want. Very nice fairly level gravel lots with firepit, and they were nice enough to supply wood! They are adding a bathroom shed between the 2 lots, which is amazing! Maybe a little over a mile away to the swamp rabbit trial. Once on the trail I think it was about 11-13 miles or so to Greenville. The trail is paved and not hilly, which made for a nice ride to town. This spot is a gem to camp on and the hosts were super nice and helpful... we'll definitely be back!

This was the best experience, we were able to have a girls trips group of (4) Gary was the most amazing, he accommodated us graciously, we were able to check in at 9pm he was able to make an appearance and show us around the camp site and communicated how we would like breakfast in the morning which was incredible it was presented beautifully and of course it’s taste was outstanding we felt very welcomed very safe and comfortable he was even able to help us start our fire! The was the ultimate experience! I’m truly grateful to have found Gary’s rare treasure and I will be coming back. The hot tub was relaxing we were provided drinks and towels.

Everything far exceeded my expectations. Well maintained, large capacity refrigerator, 2 master bedrooms and a pull out couch, provides plenty of room. Many nice touches such as clean bedding and towels, super clean and fresh smelling, grill outside, games, etc, etc.. Amazing mountain view, yet towns are accessible within 15 minutes if needed. Climate controls were very nice with 2 AC units. Showers had good pressure and plenty of hot water. Everything seemed new-ish and in good condition. Also, the owner is very nice, as well as the hosts! Their assistance and communications were tops! Many beautiful parks, trails, and waterfalls are within 30 minutes. Highly, highly recommend! I will definitely stay again!

Chattooga Belle Farm began as an event building set on acres with a small seasonal retail store. Soon people found their way to the soon-to-be full-fledged farm and they felt it; that feeling that you've found a very special place. Since the Lands opened their doors in 2010 they have come. There have been families, couples, groups, the media and fruit pickers who have all visited the farm; and they return year after year. Having been written up countless times across the southeast, US and more recently featured on The Today Show, the farm just keeps growing and getting better. With a history of growing sweet juicy apples, the soil in this part of the world has proven to be excellent for peaches, muscadines, scuppernongs, and blueberries. Hello Campers, We are a 125 acre property that has 36 holes of championship disc golf. The North Oconee River runs through our property as well as three ponds throughout. We have plenty of room to pitch your tents. It really depends on how far you would like to be from the bathhouse. We are 6 miles from Lake Lanier and the Chattahooce River, and a short drive to hiking/mountain biking trail heads. We have a wonderful bathhouse with restrooms, showers and laundry just a very short walk from our sites (maintained by the staff at the park). We're also pet-friendly and love our furry campers! Just add the pet fee for each pet in the extras section at check out or send us an email letting us know ahead of time and we will get that added.
