Weekend Trip to Kokomo Farms

Our stay absolutely exceeded my expectations! What a beautiful, calming, and hospitable animal sanctuary/farm experience. Every Friday and Saturday night they light a fire and had marshmallows and sticks already sitting out. There were so many small touches that made the stay just extra special for me and my 6 year old daughter. 100% will stay again!

Weekend Trip to Kokomo Farms

I loved our stay here! My daughter (7) and I were driving through and stayed over for the night before getting back on the road. What a great place to unwind. Our lodgings were so cute and cozy. In the evening we sat by fire and star gazed in the hammock. Some other folks were playing cards on the wrap around porch up at the house. A very welcome feel about the place. We spent the morning hanging out with the horses, feeding the chickens, wandering around the grounds, conversing with the parrot and playing games before getting on the road. Trudy was so kind. My daughter loved talking to Trudy and the other people visiting the farm.

We had an amazing time camping in the tree house! We are “young” empty nesters and this was a great adventure in figuring out what future adventures will look like! Trudy and Greg were so kind and super hospitable! The weather was perfect! We bought the farm fresh eggs and they had an electric griddle to cook em. We sat on the porch while it rained, reading a book with each other, sipping coffee and enjoying the beautiful of the land on the farm. My wife painted a painting in the garden to add to hundreds of others… it was cool to be a part of so many others that have been through. We pet the horses, fed the roosters, played fetch with the dogs. We drove about 15 minutes to Suwannee state park and hiked Balanced Rock Trail. Our time at Kokomo was sacred, and for us a pivotal point into the second half of life! I know it’s a source of income for them, but it felt like they were truly sharing their land and home with us. Such a great time!

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and unfortunately we had to cut our trip short due to an emergency back home, but boy were we sad to go. The treehouse is such a fun camping experience and our host, Greg, was so kind. He had farm fresh eggs for us every morning and even let us use some of the garlic from his garden. We woke up to his chickens greeting us every day and got to feed his horses. We were so bummed to have to leave whether it was a day short or not but we will definitely be returning to try one of the other camp houses they have available.

Kokomo Farms is so freaking wonderful! I was traveling alone and got the retro camper for one and had the most idyllic weekend, enjoying nature, underneath the live oaks. They have been so conscientious in the creation of this place and it shows everywhere. there is so much love and intention in every detail. i cannot wait to stay there again and try their other adorable lodgings :).

Absolutely amazing stay! Super quiet, large property, and felt extremely private. The bathhouse for showers and bathroom were literally steps outside the door. Stacey was amazing and took care of any issues (adjusted the AC for us while we were out), brought a camp stove, AND set us up each day with pine needles for a campfire (every 12 year olds wish!!!). Best of all, we caught two fish when out fishing and could not find anyone to filet them for us. Stacey came and grabbed them from our cooler and then kept an eye on my message when I was ready for them. Honestly 15 out of 10 stars. I checked out the RV site for future visits and will be back! It is a perfect pull through, easy to access.

Weekend Trip to Kokomo Farms

My recent stay at Kokomo Farms was truly wonderful. We stayed in the open-air treehouse, which offered a very unique experience. Trudy and Gary, the hosts, were incredibly hospitable, and the farm itself left a fantastic impression. They went above and beyond, providing board games, cards, a coffee and tea station, and even farm-fresh eggs for breakfast the next morning. We especially loved the stargazing trampoline and the blackberry patch. It was also fun seeing all the animals running around, and my wife enjoyed the painting corner. We enjoyed seeing all the hand-painted signs to see where everyone hailed from. The only minor drawback was the presence of frogs in the outdoor (open-air) restroom, but if you're okay with that (frogs aren't my favorite!), it absolutely doesn't detract from the overall positive experience. I highly recommend Kokomo Farms for a getaway.

Weekend Trip to SandyLand Farmstay GlampingTherapy

We loved camping out in Sandy’s Land. Our campsite Leroy’s lounge comfortably fit my husband, myself and our 6 children ranging from ages 6-15yrs old. We had the option for AC but didn’t take it there was plenty of ventilation and it rained every night so the temp wasn’t too bad. The kids loved feeding the animals, loved the two farm dogs, and had so many activities to do outside such as play in pool, archery, baseball, yard Jenga, badminton, etc. Additionally our hosts Steve and Sandy were super friendly and went out of their way to make this experience unique for us and our kids. They invited us to see their sister Farms horse show which was such a treat for both our oldest and youngest who are horse enthusiasts. My husband and I just enjoyed the peacefulness of their farm, the hosts hospitality, the beautiful starlight, and seeing our kids engage with one another and their neighbors w/out any blue screen for 3 days :)
