Welcome to the country! It’s just a short 15 mile drive to Cleveland, 20 miles to Dalton, 25 miles to the Ocoee River, and 40 miles to downtown Chattanooga. This pull through site provides full hookup - water and sewer, 30/50 amp, fire pit, picnic table and trash pickup. Sugarloafers is located on a portion of the old Ocoee Outdoors Zipline. It is nestled along the lower Ocoee river with great views of Sugarloaf and Big Frog Mountains. This is an excellent gateway to Parksville Lake and the Cherokee National Forest and all the activities it affords including whitewater rafting on the Hiwasee and Ocoee Rivers, mountain biking, kayaking, lazy river tubing/floating, fishing, and so much more! Our property is one of nine - 5 acre tracts along the river. As of Fall of 2024, the adjacent lots have houses on them. So while this campsite is some distance from the houses, it is currently within view. Although the campsite is back from the highway, road noise can be an issue especially on the weekends. Highway 64 is one of three major roads in the county. Unfortunatley, tents don't block the sounds of Harleys racing down the road at 2 a.m. Consider bringing earplugs or muffs if you are a light sleeper! Within a mile from the end of the driveway there is: Food - Subway Sandwich Shop and the Gondoler restaraunt. Whitewater Outfitters - Ocoee Outdoors, NOC Ocoee Outpost, ACE Ocoee Adventures Myrtles Cafe is now two miles east next to the Firefly Market. Please consider visiting these local business, they provide excellent service. Other - Rock Creek Oufitters Ocoee Store, Ocoee Express Gas Station and Convenience Store, Sugarloaf River Park and Parksville Dam and the entrance to the Cherokee National Forest! Dollar General & Foodcity - 4.2 miles back towards Cleveland (because someone forgot their phone charging cable and you want a 6 pack of beer). Middle Ocoee Private boater takeout is only a 10 minute drive east on Hwy 64. Consider a hike to beautiful Benton Falls - drive to the top of Chilhowee Mountain and it's a 3 mile round trip hike. !!!ALSO!!! Due to the massive damage caused by hurricane Helene on September 27, 2024 - especially to I-40 through the mountains - Highway 64 is now one of the primary routes into NC from TN. Expect traffic along this route to be busier than normal.

It worked perfect for us being in town playing ball. We were not there much but it is only 15 minutes from Edwards Park. One guy did stop on the road while my daughter was on the zip line and just asked was everything good. As someone mentioned in one of the post there is chicken houses around and every now and then if you are outside you can smell them but it is not terrible.

This was our second stay here and once again we absolutely loved every single second. Seriously. What’s not to love? This quiet, rural and super private site has everything you need. From the full hookups to the big picnic table and well made fire pit to the views of cows and even deer from time to time. It’s just 50 minutes to Rock City, Ruby Falls and Chattanooga if you need the big city. Our hosts are always quick to reply and offered any assistance we could possibly need. They even shared some of their freshly made pork sausage with us which made for a delightful breakfast. There’s no question as to whether or not we’ll return. This place is truly a gem!

Weekend Trip to Sugarloafers on the Lower Ocoee

This place was the best of both worlds! Close enough to basic things you may need like a gas station right down the road, coffee shop, and ice cream shop right across the street. But secluded enough to feel away from the world. Cars passed by down the road all night of course but we had our sound machine and ear plugs so there were no issues there. The neighbors dog was left out all night one night and did bark for hours, which of course is no fault of Brian’s. The next night the dog wasn’t left outside so much better sleep! Just be mindful if you do have reactive dogs, Brian was kind enough to warn us before we came and we had no issues since the neighbors dogs all stay on their own property. We cherished our time here and will absolutely be booking again soon!!

We really loved this place!!! Only complaint would be the dog that’s tied up to the towers next door at the white house barked the entire night so being a tent camper… 😬 but if you don’t mind that it really is a place I would recommend!

Great convenient spot with full hook ups! Very good communication with the hosts. Unrelated to my planned overnight stop, I happened to have an issue with my AC and the hosts gave me an appointment for a few days later. However, the hosts were so thoughtful, they contacted me before I left the next morning to walk me through troubleshooting the fuses/breaker panel. It was indeed a breaker issue that was resolved without having to return for the scheduled appointment. I really appreciated that they were so kind and considerate. I will definitely stay here again when visiting the area!

We had the best time at Julie’s property. We arrived late due to some truck issues, but as soon as we arrived, Julie rode over to greet us. My VERY talkative and curious kids immediately wanted to ask her 1,000 questions and she was so kind and friendly with them. The site was clean, easy to park and hook up, and very convenient. The zip line, swing, and daily cow friends were an added bonus. We plan on staying again in the next week or two- it was the perfect getaway!

Hey everyone, Just wanted to share our awesome experience at Riverside Tent & RV! My friend and I took our campers there for four nights, and it was perfect. The location is super convenient – right in the middle of everything, so we could easily hit up all the cool spots nearby. We spent a bunch of time fishing in the Ocoee River – such a relaxing way to spend a day! And of course, we did some sightseeing too. Brian, our host, was fantastic – so helpful and gave us tons of great tips on things to do. Seriously, if you're planning a fun-filled weekend with river rafting, fishing, or just exploring the area, you HAVE to check out Riverside Tent & RV. We had a blast!

Brian’s land is a hidden treat within close proximity to the mountains, hiking and the river! The amenities were nice and we loved being on the water! We hiked the area close by and while it rained during our stay, we also snuck into Blue Ridge to do some indoor activities. Small note that the neighbor’s dog barked at us most of the time from far away, it was not a big deal for us but just a heads up in case you have reactive dogs.

The hookups worked flawlessly, very peaceful- we only saw a few cars on the road during our entire stay and only heard an occasional dog barking as you would expect in a rural area. Great find! Brand new campsite, paved sites, full hookups and views of the surrounding mountains. Very nice clubhouse and amenities. Pickle ball courts, the list goes on!! My parents are headed there this weekend. Boxcar Grille and Brewery 5 minutes away. Haunted house nearby too!! Will definitely be back. Scooter and bicycle friendly.

This place is really fantastic! Our second visit in just a couple months...we love it here! Peaceful, serene, country farm surroundings. In the shade of the big beautiful oak trees, much needed respite can be found! Julie is a fantastic host, inquires about your stay without being intrusive. I am sure we will return in November!
