This is now our "perfect campsite". Stream right behind it, level, quiet, not too far from town. It is what I would consider picturesque and we shall be comming back whenever we come to the mountains of North Carolina. Melissa is a great , and I mean great hostess. Bathrooms are very clean and right near the campsite. Very relaxing place to camp! AAA+++

What a fantastic time! My husband and I and my bestie and her boyfriend all camped at site 3 with covered awning, which was a great space combining creekfront and a covered space to chill when it was raining. Loved the chickens, the quiet, and the hosts! The hosts checked in with us and were definitely available w/o being intrusive. Bathhouse dated but still very clean and usable, and what water pressure! We’re looking forward to coming back, absolutely recommend.

We loved camping at Melissa's campsite. The scenery is great, and the creek is a true refreshing summertime treat. Loved the nearby chicken coop, the rooster was a pretty chill guy, not too loud in the morning. The stargazing at night was fantastic. We had a short drive to the national forest roads for some hiking. And we bought some of Melissa's honey, can't wait for our current honey to run out so we can try it.

7 nights at Coweeta Creek Campground

My husband and I just spent a week at the Coweeta Creek Campground and it was the most peaceful camping trip we have ever had. This small campground has large campsites that are right on the creek. Every night we ate dinner and sat outside listening to the creek and watching the fireflies put on an amazing show. The campground has a nice bathhouse which was always clean and well stocked. The trees around the campsite gave us loads of shade we never had to put out the awning for shade. We will definitely be camping here again. Melissa and Adam were the perfect hosts.

2 nights at Indian Creek Rental's Mountain Camp

It was a great way to get away and relax chasing waterfalls. The camper was adorable! We loved how it was decorated and very private. I’ve never seen prettier outdoor bath house! Even shampoo, razors and soap provided. The camper has air conditioning which was a big plus! Communication was excellent! Clayton and Tiffany know their stuff! If we had questions, they answered us promptly. Highly recommended and we plan to return as soon as we can!

We loved staying on Brian’s land. He was a great host, very responsive and informative when we had any questions. Heartstone was the perfect campsite. It was obvious just how much thought and care went into planning, building and maintaining this site. We loved the two perfectly leveled areas for our tents and the leveled space for the grill and picnic table AND the other leveled space for the fire pit. The site even comes with its own restroom/outhouse facility. We loved the view of the rippling creek from this site and the sounds of the rushing water. Pictures and words do not do this place justice. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Pick this site. It’s amazing. You won’t regret it.

Blueberry Hill campsite was everything I needed for my yearly trip of solitude and reflection. The views are spectacular from watching the sunrise to seeing the bright stars light up a completely pitch black sky was incredible. I walked down to the campsites on the river and those were amazing as well. I will definitely be back. As others have said the drive up is not for the week or inexperienced, there’s about 5 miles of rocky terrain on essentially a one lane road wrapping around the mountain. Then to get up to blueberry Hill it is a straight up narrow, chunky stone drive. Totally worth it!

Beautiful campsite, very nice woods. We saw fireflies and heard an owl. Just so other campers know, the bathhouse is further away than a quick walk- not somewhere you’d want to walk to at 3 am! The bathhouse is extremely nice, and is private with towels/necessities provided. Really enjoyed our stay!

What an amazing spot! The site is so thoughtfully designed with the bridge, platform, creek views, and other little touches. We found the gravel coming in/out to be in pretty great shape for the most part and were able to do it safely in our little Jetta. (But we’re pretty confident drivers on gravel backroads.) We had total privacy and our dogs loved roaming around, playing in the creek, and going back and forth across the bridge. Would absolutely come back if we’re in the area again!

MUST HAVE 4X4 OR AWD VEHICLE TO ACCESS MOUTAINTOP CAMPSITES. Property damage fee of $100 for 2WD vehicles not adhering to rule. 2WD vehicles must camp creekside, sites 1-6. NO AXES, HATCHETS, MACHETES ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY. NO NAILS IN THE TREES TO HANG THINGS. It damages the tree and causes them to die. Keep pets on a leash, especially if they like to roam or have any aggressive behavior. Spacious camping lots, and great trout fishing along little snowbird creek which is on private property. Fishing privileges are actually written into property owners' deed on the purchase of land. Views that can bring a tear to a glass eye and relaxing sounds of the creek can be heard from anywhere on the property. Hundreds of Hiking trails in the area, many just a short distance from the property. Please be respectful of others' property and no trespassing signs. It’s a kinda bumpy mountain road to get there but it’s also like driving through an enchanted forest. The secluded location, peaceful and breathtaking views make this place a must-see adventure.

You get there on a gravel road with 2wd as long as your car has 5.5" of clearance. (google your car) Heartstone tent site is a stunningly beautiful, romantic campsite for 2! There is a new, large tent pad if you have children! The Diamondstone site is also a unique, beautiful, one-of-a-kind site! It has a beautiful, furnished, shelter cabin is provided for you instead of using your tent!!! Leave your tent and the set-up at home! There is also room for a tent and your children out front, right beside the creek! Islandsite is an equally beautiful tent site ideally for two, but the 10x12 platform can accommodate a 6-man tent, best for 2 adults and a couple of kids! You won't want to leave, but if you do there are many recreational opportunities in the area such as hiking, biking, rafting, fishing, and more! Stays of 6 days or more get a big discount! Coweeta Creek Campground

Coweeta Creek Campground has water, electric, and septic on Sites 1, 2, and 3 as well as a firepit and picnic table. The bathhouse allows for hot showers and flushing toilets. Site 4 is for tents or small pop-ups. Each site is gravel, shaded, and sits along the peaceful Coweeta Creek. The campground property has a large field for games (kickball, soccer, volleyball), as well as a flat 1/4 mile loop which you can view our mini homestead farm. We have chickens, bees, vegetable gardens, and a small fruit orchard. We recently added a 1/2 mile trail, called Turkey Foot Trail, through the wooded area. The campground is somewhat secluded (some neighbors across the creek), but only 15 minutes from Franklin, NC and 15 minutes from Clayton, GA with plenty of shopping/restaurants. Once you are at the campground you won't want to leave the beauty of the creek! Strong Wifi is available at all sites. Network password will be provided before arrival. Property History: Coweeta Creek Campground WAS a 20 site, thriving, family/church oriented campground from the 1970's that was later sold, then neglected. My family purchased in 2022 and are are opened a few camping sites for a more family friendly, intimate setting. *Please send us a message if you are interested in renting out the entire property for family reunions, birthdays, or other events. There is potential for 10 sites with water/electricity along the creek, but we don't advertise it!
