I enjoyed a cozy fire, explored the nearby trails, and found the perfect space to get some writing done. Worth every penny—and I can’t recommend it enough.

We spotted some wildlife, which made the experience feel truly immersive. The cabin’s host was incredibly friendly, offering great tips on nearby attractions and ensuring everything was well-stocked. The only downside was the lack of cell service (which was actually a blessing in disguise), Overall, it was a peaceful, rejuvenating escape from city life. I’d highly recommend this kind of cabin retreat for anyone looking to disconnect and recharge.

The spots are next level. Tons of space and you have epic river views and access from all of the spots. This will be a go to place for sure. The owners Delon and Laura are a treat. Right up the road is a dive bar called River drifters. Sneaky good food! Go see them

We absolutely loved our stay at The Property at Mull Valley. It was the perfect blend of seclusion and convenience—tucked away in the woods, super quiet and private, but still just a short drive to downtown Blue Ridge. The surrounding trees and peaceful trails made it feel like our own personal forest, and we really appreciated the thoughtful amenities Mateo provided. Whether we were sipping coffee outside or exploring the nearby walking trails, everything about this stay felt relaxing and well cared for. We’ll definitely be back!

Went Rooftop Tent camping with my youngest and my dog to check this place out. Even though it rained 90 percent of our stay and we had a blowout on the trailer tire on the way home, I've already booked another stay with the rest of the family in a few weeks. That's how nice this place is. Boats, fish, shower, firewood, peace and quiet, This place is a gem and there is nothing about staying here that you will regret.

I really enjoyed this camp. I believe I was the only one camping the night I stayed and it was very peaceful. Randy was extremely kind. I was staying one night in a tent and that night there was forecasted to be some rough weather so he messaged me and gave me the code to the cabin if I needed to seek shelter. 4 nights at Deer Valley RV Park

It was a great spot! Quiet, low-key and close to groceries, food, etc. There’s only four RV spots, and so it was real mellow, hardly even ever saw the two other people that were there at the same time as me. The sound of traffic can be heard in the distance, but it dies down at night and is not beyond what one could expect when close to all the conveniences. There are only four RV spots and their next to a few scattered houses on the same area of land so it makes you feel like you’re part of a little community, though I never really saw anybody. I would definitely stay again when I’m passing through the area.

We would rate Cayman as a five-star host. We also think the actual RV site was very clean and efficient with all utilities. Our hosts went out of their way to make us comfortable and content. The hosts communication skills kept us up to date on all conditions. We enjoyed Cayman's fresh venison tacos and made sure we purchased fresh eggs out of their hen house. Very close proximity to Chattanooga with lots to do for an extended stay.

2 nights at Smith Mountain Camping

We were looking for a quiet, scenic setting for a few nights. We found two hip camp sites near Ocoee, TN. One was ocoee ridge camp, and the other Smith Mountain camping. Smith mountain offered more assurance that our 32’ class C rv would make the gravel inclines up to the sites. He was correct. We made it up with minimal effort, and were greeted by a nice level site (the view site 1) with water and electric. The site offered complimentary fire wood and a port a potty as well. We enjoyed playing catch, looking down the valley to the Smokies, a brilliant sunset that bathed the hills in brief but vibrant golden warm light. We would definitely come back next time we visit Ocoee area. A few recommendations i might offer would be 1) to trim some more trees along the edge of the View site to allow a wider view of the mountains 2) consider adding some round corner mirrors at the switchback turns to allow a better view of any oncoming traffic. We were greeted by the owner who showed genuine interest in hearing our thoughts and input on the location. He was pleasant, friendly, and offered some recommendations on what to explore while in the area. We took his advice to explore the middle Ocoee River area, which was the site of the 1996 Olympics. It was a blast walking the rocks and riverside, taking in beautiful views and encountering lots of local wildlife. We even crossed paths with a few water moccasin, so be mindful of your steps!

3 nights at Smith Mountain Camping

My friend and I were looking for a place to tent camp this weekend and I happened to come across Stephen’s campsite—fortunately for us, the site with a view of the surrounding mountains was available. Stephen was a great host, checked in with us via the app when we arrived & made sure that we had everything we needed for the weekend. The port-a-potty was clean and conveniently located, firewood is available on-site, and because there are only 4 sites, this is a super peaceful place to spend a weekend. The location is very convenient too, because you’re only half a mile from the main highway. If you’re looking for a chill, quiet, peaceful place to camp in the Ocoee area, definitely check out Stephen’s place—it’s just beautiful!! Our only regret was that we didn’t get to stay for the last night because we got rained out, but we will be back!

A few more minutes to the Cherohala Skyway and the "Tail of the Dragon" makes an unforgettable loop that you won't want to miss! Dirt track race fans will want to visit I-75 Raceway (4.3 miles) and/or Mountain View Raceway (24 miles) for exciting weekend entertainment. Smoky Mountain Speedway is a little further way at 34 miles... a 45 minute drive. During June and July you should find a beautiful firefly and lightning bug 'show' over the field that skirts the 'back' of the campground! Their arrival is usually late June early July. About a 10-to-45-minute drive into surrounding towns for good food.

For the next few months we have a kayak guide on-property who can take you and your group through some of the lakes and streams nearby. Contact us for availability and pricing. We have several options for our guests at the farm, including a small zipline, farm activities, loop trail, spring trail, weekly outdoor movies (on request), and our petting area where you can interact with very friendly goats. RV/CAR/VANLIFE We can help by recommending and using local mechanics, on-site RV repair (they come to us), solar and power troubleshooting, and good old-fashioned southern kindness.
