Unlike a traditional hot tub, there are no seats inside. - There are mini-splits for AC/heat. Use the “dry” setting to cool off the space, which also reduces humidity. If it gets too cold, you can switch the units to the “cool” setting or turn off. It sits adjacent to the Talladega National Forest and is within walking distance of the Pinhoti Hiking Trail. We also have private hiking trails throughout the property. The twin beds are located in the loft of the cabin, and there is a couch in the living room. This is the perfect quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cabin is about 15 minutes from downtown Piedmont, which has multiple coffee shops, restaurants, fast food, grocery stores, and antique shops. We provide a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, oven with stovetop, dishwasher, and kitchenware to make your stay comfortable. You will be blown away by the mountain and creek views. A hiking path leads up to an overlook with a swing — the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sunrise. We are 15–20 minutes from Indian Mountain ATV Park (with space to park your trailer) and less than a two-hour drive to Birmingham, Chattanooga, and Atlanta. Visit Gadsden (~35 minutes) to explore Noccalula Falls Park, especially beautiful with Christmas lights, or Fort Payne (~an hour) to explore Little River Canyon and Desoto Falls. We also have a raised-bed vegetable garden that guests are welcome to harvest during their stay. Our property offers especially stunning views in the fall when the leaves are changing. Beautiful log cabin built in the early 1930s; the front of the house originally served as a local bait shop. We have the largest lot on the lake and the best view. During the winter, you can even see Stone Mountain in the distance. The property features a large fire pit, a metal kayak, and a Jon boat for your use. Our lake is fully stocked with largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and bluegill. There are plenty of great spots to pitch a tent, and since we are situated on a hill, there is no need to worry about flooding. The Bait Shack includes one bedroom with a queen bed and a bunk bed (twin over full). There is also a large couch in the living room and an air mattress tucked under the bunk bed for extra guests. Interestingly, our property was recently used as a filming location for two of T-Pain’s new music videos!

Perfect little location for some fall trees and a little getaway. The cabin had everything I needed with the extra bonus of the personal hot tub! Instructions about everything in the cabin were very easy to follow. I also appreciated how this one felt a little more secluded than some of the neighbors!

The cabin is perfect for outdoorsy folk who have people in their crew who may be more indoorsy. It is close to Ellijay and Carters Lake and easy to get to Blue Ridge. Would definitely stay again with my wife and young kids (who loved the bunk beds).

Weekend Trip to Mulberry Gap Adventure Basecamp

This was a lot of fun. My sister and I stayed in the Fox Den cabin. Everyone was so nice from the people who worked there to the neighbors in the cabin next to us. Usually I take more introverted types of trips but I’m actually really glad that I experienced the community and social aspect of this place. It was refreshing how positive and genuine everyone was. The meals are tasty, bathrooms are very clean, jacuzzis are awesome, cabins cute with heaters and air and mini fridge and microwave and they lock. We don’t mountain bike but now we are considering starting! Oh and everyone on staff was really on top of things from the get go with communication and emails, I loved it. It’s close to lots of hiking, wineries, the cute downtown Elijay, apple orchards, and the leaves were beautiful. We will be back for sure.

Weekend Trip to Mulberry Gap Adventure Basecamp

Mulberry Gap is such a cool little base camp. We loved having access to the barn for afternoon tea and games. We got breakfast one morning, and it was delicious. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were given a recommendation for a swimming hole nearby, which my kids loved. The cabin as well as all of the amenities were clean and well maintained. We will be back for further adventures!
