Our 501(c)(3) Non-Profit campsite has soft opening under way! This means we don't have many frills, but we are by far the closest RV site to central Atlanta, and the only one on MARTA public transit (right outside the gate).
We are a rare gem in this city. One of the last areas that have been allowed to return to nature after being farmed until the 1960s.
We are surrounded by 100s of acres of parkland, and yet are only 5 minutes drive from almost everything you will need.
You will see the hand cut terraces put in by the farm workers and then the forest has spent the last 50 years taking it back.
Still lots of old growth trees around though. The county just purchased/swapped 50 more acres to go with the hundreds more under it's watch. There is a 14 mile concrete trail that runs behind the property and all the way out along the south river. Quite the hike or bike if you fancy a good walk.
There is a 18 hole golf course, sports fields, public pool and YMCA type community center all along the trail and walking distance from the campsite.
We are a 501c3 non-profit church that is still in the early days of it's mission. Your donation to our site helps fund our mission and keeps the lights on.
We are massively focussed on permaculture as the only sustainable way of life and rapidly moving towards being totally carbon neutral.
You will be up close on our early days and see our Solar Roof Cabin (a total of 300 panels and 70kW output when completed). We make a lot of our infrastructure from windfallen and site development trees that are cut and shaped on our own electric sawmill.
Much of the rest of the renovations are done using upcycled and donated materials.
We are working towards:
Total energy and water independence
Total structural material independence
Food independence via aquaponic farming
Providing solar powered refrigerated space to local food distros
Providing local kids (and adults) access to training on permaculture and living with minimal impact on the planet.
Teaching people so they can teach others and pay it forward.

This is a nice place to camp, near the interstate, so it's easy to get pretty much anywhere. It's a quiet fenced-in area with two superwide automatic gates. Using the MyQ app made it easy to go in/out. The side was wide and with 50 amp, water, and sewer.

My husband & I spent 3 nights at Risin’ RV. This is a cozy, urban camping experience. Location is great because you feel as though you’re in the country, however you are minutes from downtown East Atlanta.
The community here is at a soft open. There is some construction going on, however it really didn’t interfere with our stay at all. You need to be self-contained to stay here because there are no bathrooms or showers. However, there are full hookups for RVs/trailer camping. The camp has a cat & chickens wandering around & that was really fun.
Communication with the camp hosts was easy. The camp is secure & safe. There are 2 security gates & we were given a code for the keypad so we could come & go as we pleased.
There was a little bit of road noise, however not significant. We had a quite, peaceful stay at Risin’ RV.

The RV site was very clean and easy to access. Erin came and greeted us. Very nice farm and very friendly. We wish we could of enjoyed it longer. We will be staying again. We highly recommend this farm.

1 night at Iremide Family Farm
Beautiful camp spot close to town! My friend and I just wanted to come in for the night while I was in town to get away. We didn't use the showers or amenities (like the canoes) but wish we'd had more time. The camp area was lovely, the firepit is large & the twinkling lights made it feel magical. Would recommend!
Our only issue was the barking dogs surrounding the property, which Brittany has no control of. We ended up leaving at 2AM because we could not sleep...but I'm extra sensitive to noises so for the average person this may not be a problem.

The location, convenience, and safety of this Hipcamp is great. Easy access to bike trails, bike lanes, and the bus system into downtown Atlanta was the closest in the area. Adding and changing dates and times was easy. Having access to the gate codes made coming and going easy, also. The chickens and roosters added a hone spun touch.

Loved the location, we could ride our bikes all the way to the Atlanta Beltline bike trail. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The door to the street was very convenient, also. I loved the chickens and rooster visiting us, especially running to our RV when cooking and the smoke detector went off. Too funny.

This was a very calm place. I loved every bit of it. You're well off the beaten path, in a wonderfully good way. It was thoughtfully prepared, and gloriously maintained. I would highly recommend this to anyone who may ask. They even had some sticks prepared in the firepit, just waiting for you. This is the kind of homely touch to expect.

Weekend Trip to Farm At Little Fox Hollow

We've stayed at many farms before, but this one is truly special. The love shown to these animals is clearly reflected in the animals personalities. Such sweeties! The hosts were incredibly genuine as well. It was so refreshing to spend time here, not just for the nature aspect, but the hospitality and connection to the animals. The kids and I are already planning our next trip. Also, the stars and privacy are a bonus!
