We own a small farm on 64 total acres with around 59 wooded. We have 4 primitive camping sites with lots of woods, wildlife, and two small creeks. We are even located on a short dirt road to give you that country feel. All of our sites are spread out from one another and you will feel secluded in the woods with nature. On our farm are free range chickens, peacocks, goats and a donkey in a pasture, turkeys (wild and domesticated), honeybees (in the field), and a few outdoor cats. We enjoy our animals and nature. We want to share this experience with others so we have decided to rent a few camping spots that we have shared over the years with our children. Enjoy the peaceful nights and the sounds of nature and star lit skies. In the daytime check out our farm animals, walk the trails, or explore the woods. Guest are welcome to pet and feed the animals if they choose. We are conveniently located less than two miles from a Dollar General, three miles from several restaurants right of I75, 8 miles to nearest Walmart, under 20 minutes to High Falls State Park, under 25 minutes to Dauset Trails Nature Center, and under 30 minutes to Indian Springs State Park. All of this located close to our property while being only 3 miles from the I75 on ramp at exit 205.

Our beautiful unique property has been in the family for 3 generations. Over the years, our family along with artists, musicians, & writers have come here to refresh and get inspiration from nature. But with Hipcamp, we've opened up for others to enjoy. We have walking trails, a pond where you can kayak, relax on the dock, or feed the huge fish (sorry no fishing allowed.) Also, on our property, there are swings, a tree house deck, obstacle course, fire pit area, wooden bridge, picnic table, and abundant bird life. There's also plenty of wide-open space where you can play frisbee, run, do yoga, and stargaze at night. There's plenty to do in this area, using the farm as your base. Claxton, our hometown, is a great friendly, small-town with grocery and hardware stores and restaurants. Many guests like to side-trip over to the towns of Statesboro, Metter, Vidalia, and Savannah, plus the Golden Isles.

We loved the drive-up site (#4). It was perfect for our overnight stop. There was a great firepit which we enjoyed both evening and morning and a permanent bench and table right on the site. Host is really responseful and helpful and we loved hearing the peacocks!

A 5-star experience all around. The land is beautiful, peaceful, so quiet. The creekside sites are well-kept and the provided canopy is perfect for tucking into the shade in the hotter parts of the day. Ralph is an excellent host and he cares a great deal that his campers have a great experience. The common house was impeccably clean. The short trail up to the ridge is so peaceful, I loved not having to drive anywhere to enjoy a quick hike. The provided firewood and chairs make for lighter packing which was a great relief. I do recommend pitching your tent in the wood chips as there is a bit of poison ivy in the grassier areas. Site 4 is the most private. Great place for birding! We saw bunnies, frogs, deer, and a bald eagle!! Short distance to Blue Ridge for exploring beyond camp. Can’t recommend this site enough and I look forward to returning!

Our stay was amazing, my family and I enjoyed the nestled in space and it was very spacious! Plenty of amenities and things to do right on the grounds. having a communal space that wasn't directly outdoors was a plus. Amy and Rob (her husband) made sure our stay was comfortable, we were even able to visit beforehand to put our minds to ease. Overall great trip! Only downside was it was a little noiser at night but it was nothing we couldn't adapt to. We will be returning

Excellent spot and Christopher and everyone there was super welcoming - private spots on or near the creek to camp but often fun stuff going on at the main area on weekends or evenings you should check out if you can - will be back soon - great for well behaved dogs off leash too

We had a great time camping here. The property is beautiful and feels very private. We often go for campsites that are heavily wooded, but it was a nice change to have an open field to play around in. We did some stargazing at night, and though it was extremely cloudy, we still saw Jupiter! Our toddler couldn't get enough of the playset and loved looking at the chickens. The compost toilet was nicer than we've seen in some state parks. We would very much recommend this place!

We loved tent camping at the pond! Perfect for a nice quiet getaway. There's plenty of trees for a shady spot with a steel fire pit and some cleared brush behind the pond to pick out firewood. There's lots of wildlife and farm animals to see and plenty of space to walk. It was a great place to train our dog off leash as well. There are several dogs that live across the far side of the pond that were loud at times, but not too often. One of the funniest parts of the stay was hearing a loud "bloop" in the night when the local beaver jumped off the dock. Overall a serene and beautiful stay.

Nice location on the St. Marys river. If you are tent camping, it's probably wise to check if the nearby mudbog pit (Soggy Bottom) is planning an event, otherwise noise could be an issue. Also, the gravel drive is pretty steep. Be careful to get a rolling start when exiting the gate

We easily towed our Taxa Tigermoth down the narrow driveway and settled into Site #1. Farrah has done an excellent job setting everything up (spacing, signs, lights, fire pit...). The other tent sites and the glamping site were empty during our stay, so our evening was very chill. We enjoyed a fire and viewed the stars. The distance to the house through the orchard is generous, so it feels very private, yet secure. And the airy composting toilet was well executed - no complaints. It is the nicest outhouse my wife has ever used. We saw deer, heard many birds, and loved the chickens & goats (missing our chickens). We would definitely stay again.

Very cool camp site this time of year. Fields were pretty empty due to it being an off-season for pecans. Bathroom was almost out of toilet paper but host was very quick to refill it once notified. Had pretty good Verizon service all around camp and driveway was not too bad to go up, even on a motorcycle. Many bugs in the area but you're camping, what else would you expect? Will definitely be going back if I need to stay the night in the area!

One of the best Hipcamps out there! Mike and Karen are very welcoming, very receptive to all our questions and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. Their property is beautiful! They have put a lot of heart and soul into ensuring that your visit is one of a kind, with walking trails, a pond with fish to feed, hammocks, and many sitting areas to relax and take in the sights and sounds of nature. There was plenty of room for our 40’ Class A and toad. Our stay was extremely peaceful, serene and relaxing and we will definitely be back to visit again! Highly recommended!

Atlanta & North Georgia

The north Georgia mountains provide some of the state’s best camping and hiking terrain, including part of the Appalachian Trail. The vast Chattahoochee National Forest is dotted with historic sites and campgrounds, while cascading waterfalls, RV camping, and glampsites await at Amicalola Falls State Park. Canyon hikes and waterfalls are among the highlights at Tallulah Gorge State park and Cloudland Canyon State Park (the latter also has yurts for rent), and Red Top Mountain State Park lies less than an hour from the state capital, Atlanta.

Central Heartlands

Augusta, Athens, and Macon have a rich musical legacy—artists from James Brown to Otis Redding hail from these parts—plus some of Georgia’s best camping right on their doorstep. Head to Mistletoe State Park to hike, kayak, and fish on the shores of Clarkes Hill Lake; snag an RV campsite or cabin at George L. Smith State Park; or rent a cozy cottage at Indian Springs State Park.

South Georgia

Rolling farmlands form the backdrop for a road trip through South Georgia, perhaps checking into an RV park in one of the many small towns along the way. The region’s most impressive hiking trails are found in Providence Canyon State Park, along with backcountry tent sites, while Stephen C.
