We are stewards of 18 beautiful acres, and nestled between hills covered in hardwoods and Old Taylorsville Church Cemetery. We are very close to Atlanta, GA, Red Top Mountain State Park, The Booth Museum, Tellus Science Museum and the City of Cartersville, GA. Enjoy our local winery and brewery as well. GA mountains and apple country are a short 1.5 hour drive from our location. Our farm is a small local market style farm, hosting many TN Fainting Goats (enjoy all the kids in the spring), Sheep and spring lambs, around 40 or so chickens and piggies depending on the season. We also grow figs, herbs garlic and veggies. Please note this is an RV site only no tent camping and no latrine tents allowed. We also have a one dog policy. Thank you for looking at our property.

There is a very large firepit and seating area where tent site could go or you can choose a more secluded area in the back. Dogs are welcome to stay in the fenced yard, but will be an additional fee for boarding, they can stay with you at your site for free but please dont allow them to bark all night. We live on site on 17 acres that is surrounded by large tracts of undeveloped land with the Oconee National Forest within 1/4 mile and the Ocmulgee river within 1 mile. The name Seven Islands comes from the rich history of this area and the nearby trading site between Native Americans and settlers in the 1800s on the seven islands of the Ocmulgee River. For Equestrian campers, we have an electric hook-up near the house and a round-pen size paddock for horses (or can make panels into stalls) +$7/horse/night. (Note: We reserve the right to refuse lodging to horses with runny noses/runny eyes or otherwise sick). *Cabin being remodeled. To be open some time in 2025* We are happy to ride with you when available if desired - or we recommend using the Outdoor Active or Gaia app. Our tent camping area is a peaceful, shady area overlooking meandering Kinnard Creek. The dirt road is within view, but it is a country road rarely travelled by anyone other than kayakers and other recreationists. You may hear the friendly nicker or see our 3 horses coming to check you out, but their pasture area does not intrude on the camping area. Hike or ride your horses on the nearby trails. The Fried Green Tomatoes cafe and Sac-O-Suds (famous from the movie "My Cousin Vinny") [Edit: Sac-O-Suds store is currently closed. But still a scenic drive-by] are an easy drive as well as Covington GA where you can see The Vampire Diary clock tower (or take a tour of other filming locations). There are many quaint shops in town, a 10 minute drive, or in nearby Madison GA. This is a great country getaway to reconnect with nature and peace. We are just far enough away not to be intrusive, but near enough if you need assistance.

Just an hour's drive from downtown Atlanta brings you to secluded campgrounds and unspoiled Georgia state parks.

Spanning 3,200 acres, Stone Mountain Park is one of the most-visited spots in Georgia. You can't help but gawk at the huge quartz mountain looming 825 feet high. While you're there, hop on one of the hiking trails, ride the scenic railroad, or take the tram to the Stone Mountain summit. The park campground has almost 500 campsites (no kidding) and includes RV sites.

If big crowds aren't your thing, check out Sweetwater Creek State Park. The quiet hideaway is a lush haven for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. At Panola Mountain State Park, rugged mountain trails abound. It's easy to forget downtown Atlanta is only 20 miles away.

If you're camping with kids, Red Top Mountain State Park is a solid choice. Nestled on Lake Allatoona, the park has 15 miles of trails, a swimming beach, and a marina with boats for rent.
