We have a Pavillion with a fire pit that is welcomed to be used. Our dock provides a look out on our pond. Please feed the fish some food if you'd like. Also, take time to fish in our pond and catch some tilapia or blue gill. The kids have a blast fishing as the fish are easy to catch. THE SPACE: The site you'll be staying at is close to the owners house. There are 2 parking spots on asphalt that are available for the campers vehicles or park directly at your site. The ground will be grass that the camper will park on. Please note: we have 2 gates with gate codes that shut automatically. Please be sure each gate closes behind you! We have free roaming cattle and other farm animals outside the camping area. We are always open to recommendations on how we can make your stay even better! A small family owned and operated 5 acre pasture raised poultry farm. This is a working farm that sells poultry meat and eggs to the local community. If you have ever wondered what it might be like to live on a poultry farm -- this is it! Depending on the time of year there may also be bee hives located on the far back or very front of our pastures. Due to biosecurity measures you do not have full access to roam the entire farm and pastures. However, the RV spot is placed with a view of most farm activities. Our farm is home to free roaming hens, roosters, geese, quail, ducks, turkeys and pigs. We have 6 livestock guardian dogs that keep our animals safe from predators. Both the birds and the dogs do make noise, so please keep that in mind. It's all part of farm life ! The camp spot will be near the pigs and goats, so expect some noise in the morning and during feeding time otherwise it's pretty quiet. At night time you could do a fire pit, we'll provide the metal fire pit. About 25 minutes east of our property we have downtown Fort Pierce with nice restaurants and the causeway where you can take a dip in the ocean and there's beaches up the road from there.

I was warmly welcomed at George’s campground! I was not sure at first how I would fare with the campsite being tucked away from the car and the outhouse but it seems the body adapts quite quickly when you get clean air and peaceful quiet time at night. It is a touch of wild forest in the middle of a suburban desert. George has been taking a step by step process to bridge people back to nature. You are experiencing a snapshot of a vision in flux! He is highly communicative whatever your needs and a pleasure to meet! I would gladly return. It is great to be close to town with great food options as well.

2 nights at South Florida Permaculture Farm

My girlfriend and I just finished a two-night stay at this wonderful location. The property is 5 acres and only hosts a few guests at a time so the campsites felt remote. The host is extremely passionate about permaculture and love to share knowledge - just ask! As it is a native environment you should expect mosquitoes, critters, and everything that comes along with it - including butterflies, dragonflies, and all of natures beauty. The campsite were tricky to find and I recommend coordinating that in advance, as once the sun goes down, it's DARK. Overall, a great getaway and I would stay here again. It's a short drive to Blue Heron Bridge and other West Palm locations. Thanks Mr. G! See ya next time.

Molly’s farm is a great spot. Close to the action but not right in it. Pretty area, not a farm but plenty of space. A dump station is 10 minutes away and costs $20. John is a great host and Molly is a sweet heart. You do get a bit of road noise.

I absolutely enjoyed the camping space! Lots of room and very private. The scenery was stunning and the host was very welcoming. They are pet friendly as well so my dog loved the space too! Highly recommend if looking for a relaxing getaway.

Weekend Trip to RV Campsite with Pool & Hot Tub

A great spot near the Lion Safari and other attractions. The wooded area around the spot adds nice a nice feeling of privacy. I decided to extend my stay after the first night. The host is so kind and knowledgeable about the area. Worth checking out.

Weekend Trip to Saint Lucie Farm Preserve

We had a great time camping at this preserve. Michael is very responsive and doesn’t hesitate to answer any questions you may have. When we arrived he had someone ready to show us how to get to our spot which is secluded so very peaceful change from the busy state parks. The site was clean and had great space and coverage. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and would stay again!!

Where to go

Allapattah Flats Wildlife Management Area

Fifteen miles south of Stuart, explore Florida’s pine flatlands and marshes from a campsite inside Allapattah Flats Wildlife Management Area. During the day, see wading birds alongside one of the park’s hiking and biking trails. Then, linger until nightfall for spectacular stargazing. A Special Use License is required for year-round camping at a designated area within the wildlife area, so it’s best to book a license early to guarantee a spot. Hunting is also allowed within the area during specific months.

Jonathan Dickinson State Park

Just 30 minutes outside of Stuart is a favorite for year-round RV camping in the area. Jonathan Dickinson State Park offers 144 campsites with water, electricity, tables, and a grills between two campgrounds. The Pine Grove campground also offers sewer hookups. RV and tent campers can enjoy tiled restrooms with showers and a washer and dryer. After setting up, try horseback riding, birding, a pontoon boat tour, or hiking within the park’s expansive forest and river landscape.

With hunting, fishing, and nature study for every type of camper, Jones/Hungryland is filled with wildlife and Florida’s natural beauty. Find trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding through the flatlands, and learn about the region’s history in cattle ranching and citrus farming. Picnic tables, toilets, and a pavilion make Jones/Hungryland comfortable for a multi-day stay. Year-round primitive tent camping within the wildlife area is limited, so get a permit and book ahead to score a campsite.

When to go

Florida’s mild climate makes it easy to camp year-round in Stuart. December to March is the most popular time of year for all types of camping because Florida winters bring plenty of bright sun and relief from the heat. March to May offers spring blooms and cool nights, with daytime temperatures starting in the low 70s. Camping in the hot summer months is still popular for crowds who like swimming. Prepare for summer camping with lots of sunscreen and bug spray.
