Enjoy nature in this 2 bedroom, 2 bath stilt house on Paradise Island surrounded by the Blackwater River- just a 30 minute drive to Gulf Beaches! Master bedroom has King bed with deck access and gorgeous views. The guest room/bathroom has a double bed. With the 2 convertible sofas in the living room, the River Shanty provides comfort for up to 5 adults. There is a kitchen with refrigerator, oven/stove, microwave and double sink. Kayak around the island, enjoying the turtles & birdwatching, resting on sandbars. Or boat or drive to downtown Milton to dock and dine at Blackwater Bistro or Boomerang Pizza. There is a boat ramp, boat house, kayaks and life jackets for guest use. *Swim, kayak, boat at your own risk* Easily visit Navarre Beach, the vibrant Downtown Pensacola with year-round Saturday Markets, Pensacola Beach and Fort Pickens National Seashore.

 Private pine and oak forest camping. With as many flowers as I can grow! 3 miles to Bluff Springs Recreation Area for boating and fishing.   1 1/2 hour drive to Pensacola Beach, great stop over point. 

   Large parking lot but watch for low power lines. Beach Cruiser Bicycle repair and gas motorized bicycle repair and sales. Have bicycle tires tubes and many bicycle parts in stock! 

  I only have 1 site renting, the parking lot is never crowded with other vehicles. Great place to park, no detours off of HWY 29, just pull in and pull out, circular drive and parking lot.  Direct access to other Highways like Hwy 65. No alcohol at this campsite, serenity.  AA meetings if you would like.  Property established in 1963.

1920's home once stood at the site and the old sidewalk can still be seen between the two tent sites showing the date it was poured.

Blackwater Paradise

This property is where I grew up and had as a neighbor a Creek Native American whose family and tribe originally lived, hunted, fished, and camped this property.  Additionally the East West driveway is where the original "old stagecoach road" was long before Johnson Road, the old brick road (now a biking and walking trail), highway 90, and ultimately Interstate 10 each an iteration of East West mass transit through Northwest Florida.  With 200 of feet of Blackwater river and bounded on the South and West by a wet weather pond and stream,  we have everything from hawks, owls, and woodpeckers, bees, dragon flies, the occasional deer, and frequent raccoon.
 There are crickets, and symphonies of nature like the wet night frog songs makes ours a veritable "island" wooded paradise.
 Come relax in our neck of the woods all while being close to shopping, entertainment, state parks, sugar white beaches, surfing, boating, sailing, skiing, swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving .
 Whether you drive in, or fly in commercially at Pensacola International Airport or your own plane at nearby Peter Price Field you'll find a relaxing evening nestled in historic Milton Florida.

Both sites have chain-link fence between the roadway and the downslope of the adjacent hill.

Plenty of flat and private tent sites.  Away from parking, some sites have near access to water spigot, others will need to walk.

You are on a lot that is surrounded by a privacy fence. Lot may be shared with other guests. Also check out our other rentals at this location!
The space is fully accessible to our guests with an egg grill, fire pit  and hammock available to you. We are consistently adding and improving our lot and its amenities to cater to the needs of our guests.

Beautiful house on the Blackwater river. It is kayaking paradise!3 bedroom 2.5 bath just remodeled so the pictures do not do it justice! 30 min from Navarre Beach. 30 min to Pensacola. Stay in the best spot in Florida. Rental comes with 4 kayaks and a paddle board to enjoy. It is such a relaxing place to stay. Welcome!

Close to the highway about a mile from Starbucks and Publix grocery stores 20 minutes from the beach. Pretty dark at night and secluded. Easy to get back on to Route 10. There is road noise from route 10. Great Wifi on site. 50 amp hook up. We charge for 12 cents a kilo watt hour. Look forward to meeting you!
