Welcome to our little rejuvenating heaven. This is what we want to offer you, a 2.5 acres of raw nature where you can relax, rejuvenate and enjoy the best that water and nature have to offer in Northwest Florida. You will be staying in a historic 32 ft 1954 New Moon trailer, the exact copy of the one in the movie The Long Long Trailer with Lucille Ball. Nothing less ! And don't forget to bring your kayaks, paddle boards, bikes and hiking shoes as there is a lot to do around here. Let's start with your accommodation: THE LONG LONG TRAILER If you ever wanted to stay in a vintage camper with a history, then this is it. You will be staying in a 32 ft 1954 New Moon trailer. The previous owner bought it in California and claimed it was one of the trailers used in the movie with Lucille Ball called The Long Long Trailer. We like to believe that we own a piece of American culture. The camper has water (cold only), electricity and a split ac unit. It has been partially renovated to keep the original feel and features as much as possible. It's an old lady that survived time, so we ask that you take good care of her as well to continue the legacy. BATHROOM - TOILET Inside the camper, there is a small bathroom with a sink, a small tub, and a toilet but for number ones only. For hot showers and number two's you will have access to a separate shared bathroom with an indoor toilet and a spacious enclosed outdoor shower. (See pictures) BEDROOM - BEDDING We just replaced the mattress with a brand new queen size memory foam mattress. So far everybody likes it. We only use cotton sheets for best comfort. There are 2 nightstands on each side of the bed with lamps and cellphone charger plugs. The bedroom has its own entrance door and a room divider can provide privacy from the rest of the camper. KITCHEN - APPLIANCES A comfortable kitchen area with a large sink and lots of cabinets. It's equipped with a microwave oven, toaster oven, hot water kettle and a gas stove. We also provide basic cookware, bowls and plates. Basic seasoning (good quality foods, always), paper towels, dish towels, sponges, dish soap. The cherry on the cake is the original 1954 fridge that is still working great. CLOSET A 2-door closet with hangers and a shelf and 3 storage compartments above the bed offer plenty of space for your clothing. CLEANING STUFF Basic cleaning products and gears are at your disposal inside the camper. We privilege non harsh chemical products to preserve human, animal and plant well-being. OUTDOOR SPACE In front of the camper you will find your own private area to chill out after a day of leisure in nature. You have a small table and 2 chairs as well as 2 comfortable armchairs. An umbrella is also provided. YARD - FIRE PIT We are still working on developing the property. Many parts are still undeveloped but every day we improve something. We have set up a fire pit with some lounge chairs around that you are welcome to enjoy when permitted by county regulations. HOT TUB AND LOUNGE AREA We just finished setting up the hot tub which is now ready to be enjoyed for an extra fee. Since it's an old model, and it is solar heated, you would have to tell us in advance the time you want to use it and we'll set it up at the right temperature for you. We allow one use per day for one hour. We have also an area with 2 lounge chairs if you want to soak in the sun during the day. PROPERTY ACCESS; We live in a very rural area that you can only access by a dirt road. The roads are well maintained and regular 2WD cars are fine. If you come from I-10 / Chipley via 77, count about 3 minutes of dirt road. If you come from CR20, it's about 10 minutes of dirt road. SPRING-FED LAKE Our property is located on the biggest spring-fed lake in Northwest Florida - Porter Lake. We do not have a view of the lake but we are less than 2 minutes away from the boat ramp where you can swim, launch your kayaks/canoes/paddle boards, and of course your motor boat as well. Many other lakes are very close by, just minutes away. If you like fishing, then you found your perfect haven spot. GORGEOUS EMERALD SPRINGS We are just less than 10 minutes away from 5 of the most beautiful cold water springs on the famous Econfina creek. Each site offers a parking area, picnic settings and easy access to the springs. You can swim there and also launch your own kayaks or rent them on site. YOUR NEIGHBORS We live in a camper on the same property about 20 yards distant from the New Moon trailer. But you will have all the privacy you need. We also have a few full time neighbors around the property, the rest of the lake community are family vacation homes. It means that outside the holidays it is a pretty quiet neighborhood. For a truly unforgettable experience, move the review over to the Goat House Farm! It’s rustic, it’s quirky, and if you’ve ever dreamed of hanging out with goats all day—this is the place. Seriously, if you love goats, this might just be the greatest thing ever. A quick tip: bring hiking boots, Crocs, or any shoes that can be easily washed. You’ll be around a lot of goats, and let’s just say… you don’t want to be wearing your nicest sneakers. If you’re planning to stay the night, we stayed in an RV and were able to plug in—super easy and surprisingly comfy. All in all, it’s fun, it’s rustic, it’s a goat-lover’s paradise!

This was a nice solo travel experience for me. The Rustic Cottage is very cozy, clean and stocked with almost everything you'd need (i.e. cookware, spices, body wash). Goat yoga was fun and the property is serene. Horseflies were in abundance during the day but that didn't dull the experience.

It’s truly a rural experience. The host was very responsive to all questions, before and during my visit. She even offered to let me come out when the goat kids were being bottle fed. The Coop was clean, decorated just like a chicken coop, and had cold A/C. I added in the morning biscuits option which was a tasty treat as I got on the road.

This was our first Hipcamp stay and it was wonderful! We were the only ones there and Elizabeth was very warm and welcoming. We got to watch her milk the cows and she introduced us to all of her farm animals. There was lots to explore and my kids had a blast. Site was easy to get in and out of and we would definitely stay again. We got to visit Elizabeth’s farm store and I can’t wait to try some of the goodies we purchased. I appreciated how knowledgeable Elizabeth is and how much information she was willing to share. I took home some tips to help with hatching chicken eggs and I even told my husband that I want to be like her one day!

Did get slightly lost when looking for the property but I am directionally challenged so that’s not a surprise haha I turned the bend and saw the tire lawn art and knew I was in the right place! Juan was nice enough to give me a spot that I could soak up some rays on my solar. Love all the art and unique decor everywhere! Took advantage of the restroom but the outdoor shower will have to wait until another time when it’s not below 50 in the morning. I was also greeted by the cats and pup on property so that was a treat! (Even tho my old dog was not a fan lol) Lina even gifted me a bottle of wine for the night. Loved the ambiance and hospitality. Would absolutely return to this property in the future 🙏🏼

We loved tent camping with the goats! We camped in the goat enclosure, and had a lot of fun keeping our stuff goat-proofed. We highly recommend ear plugs, as the roosters seem to think Dawn was every few minutes. But it was worth it! We really appreciated the community fridge that we could store some stuff in, and the community supplies (pots, pans, etc) in case you forgot something. The hostess was awesome. I even got to help with a baby goat delivery! Tell Fireball “hi” from me!

This cozy, quiet cabin was the perfect retreat during our 3-day soccer tournament stay. It had everything we needed—comfy beds, a warm shower, and a peaceful setting that made it easy to relax at night. One of the best parts was getting to spend time with the goats—such sweet animals! We even got to see a newborn baby with her mom, which was such a special experience. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend this unique and charming spot!

Cool little farm with all kinds of animals. If you aren't aware farm birds (guinea fowl, chickens and geese) do make noise so don't be surprised by that. The campsite was nice and fairly secluded in a small stand of trees. The animals were all very friendly especially the livestock guardian dogs who roamed the property all day and night. I definitely recommend sampling their dairy goods. The yogurt was so delicious. I should have bought more bc me and my daughter kept fighting for the "next bite". I didn't try the other dairy products but they had to be just as good. The only suggestion would be a pair of ear plugs if you're tent camping as the interstate is very close by and traffic noise can be heard all night. I doubt rv campers would be bothered. Regardless I highly recommend this campground.

What a fantastic spot to recharge away from the hustle and bustle. Our dogs had the best time exploring the woods and running around in the fresh grass. We felt we had our own little slice of nature and didn’t see a single person, despite being a neighborhood of sorts. The homes are very well spread out. The site had all the amenities we needed and we really appreciated having the cover to park under as we got a lot of rain one night. The only thing that is a bit tricky is decline into the space, but we managed with a 32ft class C and tow dolly. The tree swing looked straight out of a movie. We would 10/10 return.

We loved this last minute camping experience. We were given the option to camp in the goat enclosure or coat to the bathroom and common space. Due to camping with kids and much rain forecasted, we opted to stay close to the bath house. As a working farm, the roosters kept the adults up, but the kiddos slept through the crowing and *loved* spending time with the goats and watching the chickens. We can't wait to return hopefully with clearer skies :)

Goat House Farm is a 501(c)3 owned micro-farm in a rural area of Tallahassee on the beautiful Lake Talquin. The farm has its humble beginnings in the summer of 2015 with four acres, four goats, and four chickens. Founded on the love of animals and a passion for sustainability, we remain committed to compassionate practices and the most natural care of our land and animals as possible. As stewards of the land and herd, we believe we have a responsibility to share nature's blessings. We offer several agritourism opportunities on the farm, from farmstays to day visits. Our primary program is to serve area youth with agricultural education and the opportunities to work with our goats. All proceeds from bookings go toward our programming. It is our goal to create a space where our visitors can have fun and learn about the animals who share that space. We also strive to serve as a valuable resource for first time goat owners. To support that endeavor, we sell chicken eggs, specialty cottage goods, honey, and natural goat milk and honey products.
