A small but unique piece of land that was given to a family in the 1920s by the Florida Railroad Company. It stayed in the family until we purchased it. It is unique because the surrounding area does not have much tree coverage. This is
due to the ground underneath, which is a vein of grey marl. This is why the area is called the Allapattah (an Indian word for Alligator) Flats.
We are hoping that our county stays the way it is so people will know what Old Florida really looks like.
Minutes from I-95, but surrounded by the Allapattah Flats Wildlife Management Preserve. Located on Martin Hwy, which was recently designated as a Florida Scenic Hwy. Fifteen minutes to Stuart and thirty minutes to West Palm Beach, a world away from the hustle and bustle.
We realize that people also love Florida for Disney and tropical paradises but if that is what you want then this may not be your kind of place.
Depending on the season and availability we may have local honey and/or firewood available for purchase.

Park your RV for the night and enjoy the surrounding areas, beach, snorkeling, Safari, animal sanctuary or biking. Electric/water hookup next to the paved site. There is a shaded grass area for setting up camping chairs, and a separate area with provided fire pit and relaxing chairs to watch the sunset.

You can explore wildlife viewing and hiking through the cypress wetlands of J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management Area or visit Grassy Waters Preserve to enjoy the real Florida.

We had a very pleasant stay. The tent platform was nice to have, the porta-potty was clean and there was hot water in the shower area. No picnic table or seating area at the site but a communal table right across the path. Having the miniature horses around camp was very fun!

The sites are nice. 1/4 are tent. 5/6 have raised platforms. 7 is very isolated. No utilities at the sites, but water, shower with hot water are available. Beautiful site.

Excellent experience. The campsite is very peaceful, perfect for disconnecting from the noise and truly relaxing. Everything was well maintained, and the atmosphere is ideal for resting and enjoying nature. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it.

Really secluded sites at the back of a large property. Yes as others have said there is road noise, that said it's not any worse than most KOA campgrounds ive been in.
We had a great stay met some other Hipcampers, but never met face to face with our hosts. The mini horses stopped by to say HI. Lots of bird song and the stars at night were awesome.
Shower outside the horse barn was very nice.
Would stay again when in the area.

Lovely land, great spot close to the highway but still silent. We needed to car camp last minute with no supplies, and Christine and Cal were quick to accommodate space for us. Thank you for turning an emergency stay into a lovely evening!

Christine & Cal run a good campground.Their property is inviting and in a good location by the highway and the coastal towns. My trip was about decompressing which I was finally able to do at their campsite! The two mini mares are adorable and their little jack russell is the real owner of the place! Shower and fridge amenities are great as well as the water cooler. At night, yes, there is traffic noise but I wasn’t too bothered by it. I heard cows at night from nearby properties which I was not aware that cows mooed at night! Haha!

I had a great experience on Christine and Cal's property. So great I spent 5 weeks there. Tent site 3 had plenty of shade during the day. Christine and Cal were very accommodating. I totally enjoyed the miniature horses as well being an animal lover and all. Single and traveling alone, I felt very safe.

We did tent camping in this ground. We had a great time there. In between each site there’s enough space to get some privacy. We were in front of the pond and the view was nice. There’s some noise from the road near but it didn’t bother us. Thank you for having us!!

We booked a 2nd night. The outdoor shower is amazing. We stayed on lots 2 & 4. Will rebook on 4 (just my preference). Its all about what you're looking for. I haven't stayed at a site that has recent pics on the hip camp site. Don't expect it and you wont be disappointed. I LOVED THIS PLACE. I dont know any tent campers that would not love this place ( I know 0 Glampers). There are hidden treasures all over this property. We had a ball. Enjoy and DONT SKIP THE HONEY! There is reportedly an alligator in the pond. I didn't see it and we all left better than we arrived
