Orange River is the river that passes through the highly rated Manatee Park, we have kayaks and paddleboards available for your pleasure at an additional cost. We have typical comfort restaurants such as Cracker Barrel and Waffle house nearby but I would suggest local flavors of Buckingham Farms and Rum Bucket Grill. I-75 is about 10 minutes away so although we are tucked away, most of FL isnt too far for a day's trip.

If you are looking for a full farm-to-table experience, Buckingham Farms is 20 minutes from us and is a 85-acre farm with fresh produce grown hydroponically! We are also about 20 minutes from 31 Produce/Cracker Shack Cafe which is a local U-Pick farm that has seasonal fruits/vegetables available, as well as a restaurant, farm animals, and "gem mining"! With just a 1 to 2-minute drive, we have two parks, Nalle Grade Park and Pop Ash Creek Preserve, for those who enjoy nature walks, fishing, or birding. There are also a handful of other nature preserves and parks in the local area that are around a 20 to 25-minute drive! Spacious park-like waterfront setting of back yard, considered by most to be a safe area. Trash and recycle bins, bench swing, outside seating and tables. Currently waterway is coated with water lettuce plants, not navigable. Peak season is January and February when this area is extremely competitive to find camping. I don't consider my hosting service a business, but rather a cost shared meeting place. The city/county won't allow monthly; therefore is 30 days max, plus this is intended to be a meeting spot to assist travelers and meet new people, not for long term housing. Dog restrictions (see rules) and no smoking. Orderly and clean property: You and your RV / vehicle must be fairly presentable. No smoking on property. Your RV / vehicle must be in good condition and not in disarray; old vehicles OK if no visible duck tape, etc. Please note HipCamp does not allow me to see phone numbers, so if you type it in a message, I will not be able to call you. You should be able to see which sites and days are available as well as make a reservation on this website, therefore no need to ask me in a message if any site / days are available. Host is 55, single, retired from a large variety of jobs to include two years in Army "intel" and has an interest in most everything. Diet is strictly healthy which mainly omits sugar and corn syrup. Have lived in a campervan six years full time from 2016 to 2021; traveled most of the U.S. to include Alaska but not Hawaii. Have visited popular Canadian areas. Have a 2018 Ford Transit customized campervan. Born in Ohio, grew up in Texas / Arkansas. Bought this Florida home in early 2021 that is energy efficient and withstands strong storms well, but not storm proof. Worked diligently for three years to upgrade and improve the property.

Our property is 15 minutes South, from I75, 10 minutes from any restaurant or publix. We are a 2 mile drive down a dirt road, through the state forest. We offer 2-3 acres of a choose your own spot camping area. Located within the Picayune Strand State Forest, full of peace and quiet, and plenty of birds. We have a facility building that runs off a generator for running water. With that, we have a washroom, that consists of a large shower, and 2 bathroom stalls. we have then propane heated hot water for a nice hot shower. The sites are very " free range". Nothing that is too designated, so you have a free choice of where to pitch your tent, or park your camper van, or your RV. Come and stay within the Evergaldes in Naples, of SWFL. A special private place like no other. You may have the place all to yourself, or share with others. It is not all all populated like other campgrounds. we have no time limit either. please contact me for any and all questions you may have!
