St. Pete Beach, Clearwater Beach, Pass-a-Grille Beach (and countless more), the Manatee Viewing Center and the Skyway Fishing Pier (longest fishing pier in the world) are about 30-45 mins away! Venice and Casperson Beach- the shark tooth capital of the world- is less than a hour drive from us! Come and go as you please! Safe and welcoming neighborhood. Park your vehicle in the driveway just feet from the RV. Visit us at our Farm & Garden! A perfect way to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Feed the animals, pick some garden veggies, collect fresh eggs, take a walk in the woods or stroll through the orchard. Throw a line in the water in our catch and release pond or barbecue on the deck with the family. Or just relax, enjoy the quiet and solitude of our natural setting. We live, work and play on our 33-acre homestead in Sebring, Florida. We grow 85% of our own fruit and vegetables, raise 15% of our own meat and grow 10% feed for our animals. We have pigs, chickens, cows, bluegills, bass, otters and turtles. You can catch a glimpse of wild deer, turkeys, birds, and squirrels that visit our feeders at dawn and dusk.
Our Guest House accommodates 8 people and offers 2 full baths, 1 king bed, 2 twins and 1 double bed upstairs, 2 twin beds in the loft, and a futon downstairs. There is a washer and dryer, free Internet, office space, and a fully stocked kitchen. There's a covered deck by the pond with a barbeque, sink, and entertaining area where you can kick back and relax. Guests are welcome to explore our property at their leisure.
Our property is conveniently located 2 miles away from the Sebring International Raceway. Grocery stores, state parks, recreational lakes, and golf courses are just a few minutes away from our property.
Guided Farm Tours, Workshops, and Demos are scheduled during the season.

Welcome to convenience and comfort! We are offering our RV for your stay at a great price! Located on the side of our home, it’s equipped with electric (heat and AC), propane, filtered water, and full sewer! This beautiful home on wheels will accommodate up to 5 people! It has a private bedroom with a queen size bed, a pull out couch and two full size bunkbeds. Fully stocked with clean and comfy bedding, bath and swim towels, kitchen utensils, pots and pans, dish towels, dish soap, hand soap, toiletries, a kuerig with quality coffee, seasonings/olive oil, blue ray player w/ tons of DVDs, board games/playing cards, and even corn hole boards and bags (available by request)-basically everything is in there ready for you to enjoy this Floridian Paradise! The shower is nice and big and the bathroom has its own door to the outside. We are located 3 minutes from Sarasota Bay and 15 minutes from Anna Maria Island! There are over 20 amazing state parks within 35 miles of our location so you can explore your heart out! St. Pete Beach, Clearwater Beach, Pass-a-Grille Beach (and countless more), the Manatee Viewing Center and the Skyway Fishing Pier (longest fishing pier in the world) are about 30-45 mins away! Venice and Casperson Beach- the shark tooth capital of the world- is less than a hour drive from us! Come and go as you please! Safe and welcoming neighborhood. Park your vehicle in the driveway just feet from the RV. Mandy and Beau were such gracious and welcoming hosts. They ensured that we had everything we needed and were very responsive. The space was clean, stocked with kitchen necessities, and well maintained. The area was stellar as it is a short drive to the beach and has a cute downtown area with plenty of dining options. Just overall great vibes! Would definitely book again

Thank you John and family for an amazing trip! You can see from the property’s attention to detail how much they care to provide an excellent experience! The cabin is stunning! It has everything you need! The beds are super comfortable! The firepit was beautifully set up. The bathroom was clean and the outdoor shower was great! The girls had a great time on the trampoline, swings, and playing with the pups. The sunset boat trip was such a treat! Please just go and experience it for yourself!

1 night at Sandy Bottom River Retreat
Our party had a great time camping at the Rosie site. The camper was very clean and all amenities listed worked appropriately. The site itself was almost like a mini cul de sac with a completely private fire pit with enough room to pitch a tent as well. With your back to camper all you see is the fire and the woods, additionally your vehicle if parked at the site visually blocks the road making it seem even more private. Kira was a great host, she very quick to respond and accommodating. She also laid out all the information we needed very nicely and detailed which made reaching the site and using the camper a breeze. Overall it was a great site and I would definitely suggest it to anyone who wants to either try trailer camping or who is looking for that in the first.

Weekend Trip to J and P Creekside Retreat
The truth is that the photos do not do this place justice: it is much more beautiful in real life than I ever imagined. It is a very cozy, peaceful spot surrounded by nature, with a wonderful atmosphere and charming details in every corner. Having a river right next to it and an area to go fishing was a perfect bonus. I absolutely loved it and it exceeded all my expectations. Without a doubt, we will come back and recommend it to our friends.

Tres Lagos was the perfect location for my friend from WPB and me to meet for one night in order to spread my mother's ashes in the Gulf. The Scamp was comfortable and the property was peaceful. The campers on here complaining about the smell and the condition of the trailer need to remember that it is vintage (old) and Florida is humid, so there are going to be odors and the weather will have taken its toll.

My family had a great time at John’s camp and we were all sad to be leaving. The place was clean and well stocked. John was friendly and there if you needed him but, we never felt like we were being watched. My husband and I loved being able to take our daughter on the kayaks (which were a great price), my daughter loved the trampoline and plethora of swings, and our dog loved being able to lounge on the deck with the occasional visit from John’s dogs. Overall could not recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a quiet getaway especially if you enjoy being on the water.

The little house and the entire property have beautiful details that reflect so much love in every corner. What an amazing experience. Hesitant to leave a review because this place is going to stay booked and I want to come back often! Best host ever, a frame was cozy and relaxed, great stargazing and fun for my 5 year olds first of camping experiences. We did kayaks, jumped on the trampoline, roasted marshmallows hot dogs and told campfire stories. Also had some great conversations with the host, great human.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hidden Oak Hideaway on Halloween weekend this year, and it was magical! Jessica is an amazing host, and so responsive and helpful. The attention to detail in this place is unmatched, from the coffee/tea setup, to the fully stocked kitchen area, to the cozy bed with a fan included, Jessica put so much effort into making this place comfortable. My family and I recently stayed at the tranquil A-Frame Cottage at Cypress Edge and LOVED it! The raving reviews are true, this place is a gem! From the wonderful hosts John and Patty, to the serene property, eclectic amenities, and thought out touches included in your stay at the cottage, we could not have been more pleased. Everyone was so nice, and the cottage was more than we could have hoped for and most certainly spoiled us for the weekend. We enjoyed the cold AC, ice maker, water machine, CLEAN cottage and bathroom, comfortable beds, fire pit and grill, chairs, hammock, seriously everything you need to make your stay easy, and enjoyable. I HIGHLY recommend this HIPCAMP property.

Where to go
Alafia River State Park
A reclaimed phosphate mine that’s now home to trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, Alafia River State Park features tent campsites, RV campgrounds, cabin rentals, and yurt rentals. Just make reservations online to ensure a spot during the busy months of June, July, and August. While here, kayak or canoe on the river while reeling in fish for dinner, or spend the day picnicking near the playground.
Peace River
Flowing adjacent to Arcadia, the 105-mile Peace River features fast-flowing water best for boating rather than swimming—a chartered airboat is a great way to explore. In August and September, though, water levels are lower and swimming is possible in shallower areas. The Northern Watershed area (known as Bone Valley) is a popular place for fossil digging, too. Find a waterfront campground nearby, and keep an eye out for alligators, turtles, and native birds.
Gulf Coast
Only an hour's drive west from Arcadia, the Gulf Coast is home to dozens of beaches where tepid waters make swimming, scuba diving, fishing, and strolling sandy shores enjoyable year-round. Abundant waterfront RV parks deliver easy access to the coastline for jet skiing and kayaking, too. These West Coast waves are smaller than those on the East Coast, so it’s an excellent spot to discover diverse marine life and search for seashell souvenirs.
When to go
Warm and balmy year-round, Arcadia is a hit no matter when campers come. Temperatures dip in winter (November until late February), but with an average high of 74°F in January, most find it warm enough to swim. Meanwhile, the peak of summer in July and August brings drizzly weather and temperatures up to 93°F. Most campers visit from February through May and October through December thanks to cooler weather that’s more manageable for outdoor activities.
