You will have life long memories! Forested hiking trails, bountiful rivers and watering holes, fishing, birdwatching, peace…stars and nature! Learn more about this land: AMAZING STUNNING PROPERTY! PRIVATE! PEACEFUL! Absolutely heaven sent! A place that will stay in your hearts forever. The property's backdrop is the lush James Goodwin forest where you can walk directly from to hiking trails. Fall asleep under the magnificent brilliance of the millions of stars, hear nothing but the sound of crickets, croaking frogs, hooting owls; see fireflies light up the night and fall asleep to the sound of the streams running right alongside the property. Watch the ariel acrobatics of the swallows swoop into the barn to feed their chicks! The two streams feed into the huge Natchaug River right across the street which is great for fishing, or spending the day at Diana's pool basking on the rocks with a picnic lunch. The area and property is perfect for hiking, horseback riding, small retreats, family gatherings all the while enjoying nature at its purest. We offer a Weber grill and large fire pit and outdoor picnic table with umbrella. You can either sleep in the barn, down in the clean stalls, or up in the barn loft. Bring supplies as if you are camping ie bedding, hammock, tent, sleeping pad or inflatable mattress. There is a long wooden table up in the barn loft that seats 14. There are games up there too, (dominos, cards, trivial pursuit etc). You may also camp outside under the starry skies. No loud music. Noise off by 10.30pm please We provide a VERY clean porta potty and the barn has electricity and running (cold) water. Bring a solar portable shower should you need.

Loved staying upstairs in the barn! It kept us protected from the wind and rain and had all we needed for a quick getaway. Highly recommended!

We overnighted here for my sons birthday fishing trip. 3x 13 year olds and dad. Jocelyn was an amazing host. Super friendly and approachable. The barn is a great place for cold nights and rain. It’s a great way to plan a camping trip without worrying about rain or weather. If you are into trout/small mouth fishing the Natchaug is right across the street and there are many many walks all around. Great location will definitely be back again!

Very quiet and private camping areas. Communication was excellent—Ronald was quick to respond to messages, which we appreciated. We did not get a chance to check out the horses, but maybe next time. Host was super nice—came over to chat with us before we left. Would definitely stay here again.

He is an incredibly hospitable host — he even came by to help me get a fire started, which I appreciated so much as a solo traveler. My 7 year old Son and I recently camped at pegasus farms and we had such an amazing time. Ronald was a great host who answered all of our questions and made sure we had everything we needed. We made a fire, cooked dinner & had smores. You can take a light walk through the campsite to his animals where you can meet horses & cows during feeding time. I left relaxed, feeling peaceful and recharged my batteries. The only bad part was that we wish we stayed longer! Thank you again Ronald and we are looking forward to staying with you again soon.

Camp grounds are in excellent condition. Lots of space and privacy. Showers also in excellent condition. Short drive to town for supplies and plenty of hiking options nearby. We had a great time. Joanna’s hospitality is second to none. Looking forward to our next trip.

My family and I (5 adults) enjoyed staying at Joanna's camping site - it was quiet, beautiful, and clean, with a really lovely outdoor shower and some extra touches like string lights and a couple hammocks at our site. Joanna was quick to respond to messages and flexible with some slight, unexpected changes on our end. It was also close to some lovely places to check out like Copake Falls swim area, a little cidery down the road, and not too far from other towns like Stockbridge for other activities.

We enjoyed our quick stay at this site. We got in late, but Ron met us and showed us to our large campsite. He brought us firewood which was really great. The kids enjoyed stopping by the farm and meeting the horses on our way out in the morning.

We had perfect weather for this weekend of tent camping in Joanna’s meadow. Close to Taconic State Park, Great Barrington, and the Harlem Valley Rail Trail - lots to do around the area. Campsite felt quiet and private even though there were a few other locations on the property. Couple considerations: you are fairly close to route 22 and the noise from the road carries, but didn’t notice it at all overnight. Our dog picked up quite a few ticks brushing up against the long grass and brush around the meadow - so make sure you do your tick checks after staying!
