This campsite was unreal. Tucked underneath a mountain and just South of the Great Sand Dunes. The views were awesome in the day and at night. My friend and I had a great time and this site worked perfectly for our quick trip to the dunes.

Austin was the most incredible host and a truly fantastic human. I have never had such a cozy camping/glamping experience! The stars are gorgeous and the hot tub was a huge bonus. I am already planning to go back ASAP. Thank you so much!

I love Arissa's site! It was remote feeling and had the BEST view of the mountain. The sunrise pictures we got take my breath away! We love the privacy but still could see for miles.
The site is down a long road, completely drivable. It was a very wide road. We have a 31' bumper pull travel trailer and we were a little concerned about turning around since it was a dead end road. I asked Arissa before we booked and she recommended we back into the site. She was right. Instead we drove in straight and then backed out when we left. Same thing. Smaller setups would have no issues at all. The land was sandy and flat. We had 2 dogs who loved walking the road.
Arissa gave us very clear directions to the site. We had no problems finding it.
You could see other people's spots in the far, far distance but they were rare. There looked to be 1 permanent neighbor who we did not see until we were leaving because they are closer to the turn into the road where the site is. You could see cars driving in the distance but I don't remember hearing them.
We did run a generator to keep our food cold in the fridge/freezer. I don't think anyone would have heard it. The distance to the Great Sand Dunes National Park and the 30' Zapata falls was perfect. Super close.
I can't recommend this site enough for dry camping or boondocking. We would stay here again if in the area. We didn't use the firepit area because it was raining but it would have been great.

Great spot. You can see cars on the main road in the distance, but you're on a dirt dead-end road so absolutely no traffic past the site. Our van (20') fit perfectly on the side of the road at the site, any bigger and you'd probably want to park on the road itself. Easy to find with the directions, and great views of the mountains.

Good site, quiet and feels very isolated. You are actually quite close to civilization but it don't feel like it. Can be quite windy, and has zero natural cover from the sun. Bring some shade and stake everything down. The fire pit needed to be dug out, for me to feel safe to run a fire. There is a lot of brush that can be a danger if you are overly careless. Common sense and a bit of prep recommended. This place was lovely. Will be returning

1 night at Ascension Acres
Celebrated my 40th birthday with a night in this super glam and very unique stay. Austin was super communicative on directions and hosted us so generously upon arrival. I loved the mix of camp/wilderness/nature with the glam of the dome/lighting/art. Super fun one!

Easy to get to and very convenient for exploring the national park! Beautiful sunset and stargazing. It is a dirt/gravel road to the site but it is well maintained and very flat so I had no problem getting there in a 2WD car with limited clearance. Would definitely recommend.

This is a great spot if you are self contained, and want convenience to the Sand Dunes.
The location is super easy to find, directions took me RIGHT there. Seasoned travelers would easily find this site in the dark. The spot-on GPS, wide roads, numerous wood posts, and easily visible fire pit, were all very helpful in giving confidence of "Is this the right place?" If you have any questions, I found Arissa to be a great host, very responsive to texts!
The site is accessed by a mile or less of flat, wide, well groomed (loamy) dirt roads. Worth noting, the road which this property is on, is a dead-end, so, you will need to turn around to leave. There are culverts, but, nothing crazy.
The views here are definitely BIG SKY. There are some houses in view, as well as Hwy 150 to Sand Dunes. It's definitely QUIET, but, seclusion is NOT at the level of "camp shower in the open."
I'm in a camper-ute, and found it most convenient to just park on the road. The combination of convenience, culvert, wood stake spacing, and cacti just made "the road" an easier stopping point. Cacti are abundant here, so, keep the pups from running too far out; tent campers will want a pad, or camp on the road next to car. Cell coverage I recall at: T-Mo 0-1 (bars), ATT: 1-2 bars, and Verizon 2-3 bars.

Very, very private. But come while the is light or you will never find it. The skies had lots of stars, but it has just enough light polution from the town just west of it to prevent you from seeing the milky way. My host son loved it for the little used dirt road he could run on in the morning before we packed up.

Really lovely, quiet spot with the most spectacular views of the mountains. Get here before sunset for a really great shot! The markers to the site are really obvious but might be challenging to see at night. There is Verizon cell reception here which is nice also!
