The first time I saw this beautiful heavily wooded 12-acre property, I immediately put in an offer. That was 18 years ago. I spent the next 11 years chasing corporate goals which I finally realized were inconsistent with my soul. I started a family and decided to sell this property. I brought my then 2 year old daughter here so she could see it once before I sold it. As we drove up highway 285 through vistas each more stunning than the last, I was moved to tears by the beauty. By the time we reached the property, I knew that we would be moving back here. Nearly 3 years later, we finally moved back with 3 dogs and 2 cats in tow. We love it here and truly belong in this place we call home. Part of the former Ute tribe summer hunting area, and backing to the Pike National Forest and Lost Creek Wilderness; this fascinating area is both beautiful and full of things to do. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this property! It was the perfect spot for a getaway with my pups. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and immaculately maintained, and the cabin itself is both charming and full of fun activities. We were lucky enough to have plenty of hummingbird visitors during our stay, and even had a massive bull moose stop by on our last night. T was an incredible host and made sure we had everything we needed. This will definitely be our go-to place to stay whenever we’re in the area!

4 nights at The Fisherman's Cabin

We loved our trip to the Fishermans Cabin! The sun would shine down on the side of the mountains to our south each evening at sunset for a stunning view. We were a ways from the river and thought we would be closer and also found out we couldn't fish the river because the fisherman's club has bought up the land around the river making it inaccessible to others. But we didn't have to go far to find a place to stick our feet in the river. The cabin was cozy and clean and well stocked with essential needs. Toilet shack was clean and not far at all from the cabin. Highly recommend a trip to this place. Lots to do and lots to see in that area! Or, a great place to just lay in the hammock, also provided, and enjoy the smell of pine and enjoy watching wildlife. Thank you Simon for the wonderful experience. We alos got to meet the grounds keeper who lived just down from there ,,Bearcat I believe was his nickname...super sweet man and he brought more supplies and water for us and offered more blankets if we needed. Another amazing stay at one of the best glamping set ups. The owners are hands on and have put so much thought and care into their property and it shows. They serve one of the best pre-adventure breakfasts known to man. You cannot go wrong staying here, it will be a highlight of your trip. Weekend Trip to Phantom Canyon Acres

Beautiful place nestled in a mature aspen grove. We had a wonderful time The appliances seemed brand new, and some things are still being dialed in, but this is not a typical cabin. It is indeed cozy--and quite spacious at the same time. The front and back decks are amazing--we spent equal time on each. The property connects directly with public land--this offers the opportunity for greater exploration. Everything is uphill, but it is doable with a bit of effort. We climbed the 1000+ feet to the top of the mountain west of the property for stunning views of the Victor mine and Pikes Peak. Cell service was available quite a bit lower. Jeff, the host, was responsive and super accommodating. We'll be back!

Super cute, quaint, cozy cabin!!! Has everything you need. We loved the area. Spent time at Wellington Lake just minutes up the road! To no fault of the owner, just beware that there are lots of flies and a bit of mosquitoes. We are spoiled in Colorado so this was surprising.

Highly recommend this spot. The cabin was amazing and the bed was great. It was a very hot weekend but the cabin provided enough shade for us and our dog at pretty much all times of the day. Leslie and Tyler were amazing. The biscuits and gravy in the morning is some of the best I’ve ever had. We will definitely be going back and bringing more people along with us!

This cabin was perfect for us! The setup was great and super well thought out, from the side sink to wash dishes to the bathroom - everything was so clean and nice. The solar bags heated the water really well. We had a fun time playing the games inside the cabin. Super close to beautiful hiking. Great fishing throughout the town of Bailey as well! Definitely recommending this spot to friends!

This place was great! Humans and animals loved it. One side of the house is a little closer to the neighbor than expected, so dogs definitely had to be on leash since they had a semi free roaming dog as well. But the other side of the house felt secluded and had some great hanging spots. The little creek and walkways around the property were adorable. Water was clear as could be. Kitchen had everything needed, beds were super comfy, and lots of things to do nearby! Love the area overall! Thanks for being super communicative Anthony and keeping the place clean and in good working order! Would def recommend staying here!

We loved the cabin was really nice and big we loved the space was a great nature spot to help unplug from the world and the problems of it. We traveled with are 2 dogs who love have a lot of zoomy energy and they were so good and the space is very open in lay out they didn't have problems playing inside or out without fear of them breaking anything and are one is a big lab we had to look around because some places not letting big dogs stay but this cabin gave us everything we needed home away from home we loved cooking in this kitchen we had a overall blast. The host was so helpful with all are little hiccups we had and was overall so helpful with everything. I definitely am going to recommend this place to anyone that ask my husband and I had so much fun we were so sad when we had to leave.
