I love to come out to this site. It’s open and has wide views and a nice fire pit. It’s peaceful and the night time skies are just as vast. Be fully prepared for all camping needs and you’ll have a great time.

Site 4 was exactly what we were hoping for. Cold, clear weather with perfect desert nights and wide open skies. The campsite was quiet, clean, and genuinely beautiful, with plenty of space to relax and take it all in. It felt peaceful without feeling too isolated, and everything was well cared for. We will definitely be back.

Casa zen was a relaxing, calm stay. Great place to get away from all the city noise. It’s located on a small town in piñon hills of a dirt road. At arrival Rick greeted me and gave me a quick tour of the place. He’s a very friendly host. Place has just enough for a city person to feel comfortable but also just enough to make it feel like a campgrounds get away. Place has a shower, picnic benches, a bbq area and a fire pit. The night sky was beautiful and the noise at night was almost non existent. Got to see a bit of wild life as well. I would definitely head out to this location again.

Beautiful cabin with everything we needed! Loved exploring the creek and nearby waterfall. Hot tub was great too! Plenty of bedding and cooking supplies. A great place to go if you want to get away without totally unplugging. Jami was very thoughtful in making sure that everything was provided. I came with 8 people, and there was enough room to comfortably fit everyone without too much running into each other. The beds were great, and extra blankets were provided just in case. There was also a washer and dryer, which I wasn't expecting. There's only one bathroom, so there was a little maneuvering with that. The Wi-Fi worked great, even with all of us connected. There is a heater but no AC, although the ceiling fans, along with opening the windows, really helped with the heat. Not to mention, it was cooler outside.
The only problem was the bugs, like mosquitoes, since we were here in the summer. There's a stream about a 2-minute walk from the cabin, and I'm pretty sure I could hear it even from inside. There's also a bigger waterfall that was about a 20-minute walk/hike. The area was absolutely beautiful—trees everywhere. You could see squirrels running around, birds in the morning, and at night it was so peaceful and quiet.

Ric’s property was beautiful, quiet and clean. The camping area, the bathroom and the hand-built outdoor shower were so nice. We were only able to stay for a little while, but it was just the spot that we needed. Close to lots of beautiful mountain and desert areas to explore, and some quaint cafes. Grateful for Ric’s hospitality. We will definitely stay again.
