Excellent Group Site! We only host one group at a time so you can be with your family and friends in a large, flat and private space. We listed the site for up to 12 campers but feel free to reach out if your group is bigger.

The land was originally purchased in the 1980's. Since then, it has been used by four generations of the family as a place to gather, relax, camp and even celebrate. I had my wedding on the property in 2010. For a few years we held an annual music festival with the very inventive name of Samapalooza. Up to 400 people would attend the day filled with live music, food and drinks. You will still find the stage and bar we built as an outdoor kitchen and dining area.
Around 2008, my father and I planted our first olive trees. Many have been planted since which has gifted the land the timeless sense of purpose it deserves. My father dedicated his last years to tending the young trees and now I have taken the mantle to carry the farm forward.
'The Property', as it is known amongst family and friends has always been a place to camp. I have sat around the same fire ring for decades, rain or shine. I hope that fellow hipcampers can find the joy that my family and I have experienced here.
This is a very private camp on a small olive farm. Geographically close to highways and the town of Novato, Sonoma and Napa wine country, this camp feels remote and secluded. Only one camp on the property to keep it private and special. You basically have your run of the land.  We have just updated the land and made some nice improvements. Located on ten acres, you will drive past a small olive grove before reaching the spacious and open campground.
Just up the hill from the camp is a private pond where you can fish, take out a small boat or just sit and watch the birds. It can be great swimming on hot summer days.
This spot has been used by the family for decades and is now open to share with fellow nature lovers.
Just a note: While the majority of the time you can expect complete privacy, this is a working olive farm. From time to time you may run into me (Sam) or someone else associated with the land. We will always do our best to respect your space.

If you want morning & late afternoon light away from the camp overlooking the pond, this spot wasn't too bad.

A Russian River Rustic and Very Private Retreat. This 1 1/2 acre Paradise that many of our friends call An Adult Disneyland is a magical place to visit. Each of our areas, whether for entertaining or residing, has its own theme and is decorated with care.  Each of the listings has it's own private deck or patio and then you have access to all of the common areas on the propertyWe promise you will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but you are minutes from everything.Lulu’s Landing and Captain Wack’s Cove is a pirate-themed Creekside hangout, where you can enjoy a fire, except during banned season.  Also a great place to capture a glimpse of the numerous critters that cruise our creek. Foxes, Deer, Squirrels, Otters, Ducks and Herons as well as numerous songbirds that feed from our bird feeder.Lulu’s Lanai is a Flamingo-themed outdoor living room and dining area with fun vintage furniture and décor.The Take- A -Liki- Tiki Shower Shack is a great place to cool off and clean up after a day on the river or exploring tidepools at the coast. There is even a puppy bath station behind it for your furry friends!The Wack Shack is our outdoor bar and grill, full of fun, colorful lights and signs. There’s plenty of equipment to cook there: appliances, a BBQ, sink, fridge and walk-up bar.We also have several apple trees, a pear tree, and tons of blackberries when in season to share with our guest. Our Veggie Garden will be available next season to enjoy also. We are constantly improving our property so please stay in the finished designated guest areas only until we open up the coming attractions.There are plenty of sites and destinations within minutes from our home too! We have Tennis, Pickle Ball, and Basketball Courts around the corner. The Russian River/ Monte Rio public beach is a short walk past the Parks and Recreation Center, and they rent Kayaks and Canoes during the summer months. The Redwood Alliance camp is just a few miles up Bohemian Hwy if you dare to zip line through the redwood canopy forest or Armstrong woods in Guerneville for those that would rather keep their feet on the ground and take a hike to enjoy the majestic beauties. Duncan's Mill is a quaint town (less than 3 miles from us) on your way to Jenner by the Sea which is just about 9 miles to the west of us. You can take a gorgeous coastal drive to Bodega that is only 15 miles away. Historic Fort Ross is another beautiful 20 mile coastal drive. Bike Enthusiast love the back roads out here and the Biggest Attraction Is… Wait for it…. Wineries are everywhere!  During the summer there are several Music Venues close by too. The Rio Nido Roadhouse has outdoor music on the weekends. Rockin the River is every other Thursday in Guerneville.  The Monte Rio Variety Show just celebrated it 111th year to a sold-out crowd. Zac Brown, Steve Miller, Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor are just a few Headliners that have been here in the past.We have a great Lightwave coffee shop across the creek that is a quick 5 minute walk. There are several restaurants along the river as well as a small grocery store, movie theater, and a Homemade Ice Cream Parlor that are all close enough to walk to or drive. Guerneville is a quick 4 mile drive and has a Safeway and many restaurants and quaint shops too.Adults of 21 years or older only please. TOT#4440N

Bohemian GrOOve

Ideal for a romantic getaway near the river, a weekend in wine country with friends, or some quality time in the redwoods with the family.

 Peacefully secluded among the redwood trees, neighboring the exclusive Bohemian Grove, and just blocks from downtown Monte Rio and the Russian River is Redwood GrOOve.

This property contains 2 separate units each with their own updated kitchen and bath.  

** It will only be rented to one party at a time.  A guest can enjoy only the main flat or take advantage of both during their stay (for an additional fee).  

The main house is 2 bedrooms with a cozy living room and an updated kitchen and bathroom with a claw foot tub.  There is a queen bed in one room, and a day bed in the other room that can be used as 2 twin beds or a full king.  It sleeps 4.  

Downstairs is a large studio with it's own functional kitchen and updated bath. There is also a semi-private additional office nook with a futon and a desk.  Off the office nook is a private balcony sitting amongst the redwoods. It also sleeps 4. (please call for pricing)

Enjoy preparing your own home cooked meals in the stocked kitchens, but there are also good options within walking distance for dining out.

Bartlett's market has many essentials and is just a few minutes away. On the weekends, Light Wave in Monte Rio has fabulous breakfast selections and freshly baked goodies. Also, close-by is, The Highland Dells, an excellent choice for German cuisine overlooking the river.  The Village Inn also has a friendly staff, a well-stocked bar, and is river front.  If you don’t mind driving a few miles, the town of Guerneville is only 5 miles away, Occidental is about 7 miles, and the Pacific Ocean is only 10 miles from the home; All have excellent choices for dining out.

Enjoy the days lounging/boating at the Russian River (Monte Rio beach is just blocks away) and in the evening enjoy soaking in the hot tub under the redwood shaded stars.   Day trips are easy to Bodega Bay, hikes in Armstrong Woods, the Ocean, or boating on Lake Sonoma.  The Northwood Golf course is also very close and is open to the public. 

For wine enthusiasts, the closest winery is less than 10 miles away (or champagne at Korbel). Just a bit further is the turnoff to Westside/Dry Creek Road, a beautiful, winding country road with picturesque vineyards following the river up into Healdsburg.  Your world-class wine tour awaits! 

Bohemian GrOOve is equipped with cable TV and WIFI. Sit on the deck and enjoy the redwood view, sit around the fire pit table with wine and good conversation, or light up the BBQ for dinner.  We invite you to Bohemian GrOOve for a memorable Russian River getaway!

Pets:  Your well-behaved (and housebroken) dog is allowed.  Please keep dogs off the furniture and make sure they are attended at all times.

Slide Ranch

Slide Ranch is a nonprofit organization established in 1970, becoming one of the first Park Partners in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

Slide Ranch is located on the Marin coast, on land that has a rich history in connecting people to food. The Coast Miwok once fished and foraged for food at this site, and in the late 19th century Portuguese dairy farmers purchased the land and produced milk and butter for residents of San Francisco. In 1969, 134 acres of this fertile coastline were rescued from commercial development. Slide Ranch camping fees directly fund scholarships for youth programs throughout the year.

Slide Ranch is an unpaved ranch environment. Our trails and garden paths all consist of uneven, sloping terrain, often muddy or soft ground during the winter season, and may be challenging to access for visitors with significant mobility restrictions.

Minors aged 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

No pets allowed; service animals are permitted.

We do not have showering facilities or flush toilets. Water in all Slide Ranch taps is potable for refilling water bottles/jugs. Soap is provided for hand washing.

Slide Ranch does not have any concessions on site. Camping is not supported by the on-site staff. Per current GGNRA regulations, campfires and open flames of any kind are not allowed.

Bay View "Tree House"

This is a beautiful, 20-sided shingled cottage set on 2 acres of oak trees, with views of the San Francisco Bay through the trees. The property is gated with off-street parking. This unique guest house offers one bedroom with a queen bed, and a full size sofa bed in the living room. Windows in every room look out into the oaks, where you can see deer, squirrels, hummingbirds, and occasional rabbits. For its location, it feels incredibly private!

The cottage is just 2 miles from charming downtown San Rafael, and just 1 mile to mountain biking, hiking, and picnicking at China Camp State Park. San Rafael is the perfect location for day trips to San Francisco, Mt. Tamalpais, and all of Marin, Sonoma, and Napa counties.

The cottage was built with the finest materials, including slate roof with copper gutters, bamboo and slate floors, granite counter tops, tumbled marble shower, and maple cabinets. A deck with glass railing encircles the entire house. There is a full kitchen, wireless high speed Internet, and cable. The only other other structure on the property is our main home. The hot tub, which hipcampers are welcome to use upon request, is on the deck of the main house.
