We loved this spot! In a safe and quiet neighborhood a short distance from all of the sights in San Diego. We loved the fenced yard, shade, and picnic table outside for us to remote work at. Kimberly's campsite was exactly as described. It was spacious, peaceful and perfect for dry camping. We especially loved that we could bring our dogs and the ground was level so we didn't have to sleep at an angle. The tight turn into the spot is not conducive to anyone pulling a long trailer. Sorry! The campsite is nestled in a quiet neighborhood near a lagoon. Seriously, we slept with the windows open and all we heard were the peaceful sounds of nature. Lovely, lovely stay!!

Weekend Trip to Hidden Lake

Dante was great host who offered firewood and use of a canoe. This was a first tent camping trip for my two sons and when it was time to pack up, they both said they wish we had an extra night. We all caught a fish. The relaxing sound of the frogs and owls was perfect. Unzipping the tent door to the view of the lake in the morning was awesome. We saw ducks, turtles, egret, along with a few of Dante’s goats. Very peaceful and remote.

This spot was a great respite- so quiet and private! We made Del Mar our central hub as we road tripped around SoCal in a 22 foot van and appreciated a nice place to stay each night. Access instructions were very clear and helpful and we had no issues getting our rig into this spot. I can see how any bigger some might have an issue. We could still get to the beach and amenities within minutes from this spot. Would recommend this spot if you are looking for a quiet retreat in the Del Mar area!!

Great location. Very private and secluded. Dante the host was great to meet us and show us to the campsites. Kayaks are available to use. The whole setting is very quiet and relaxing. Perfect for two families. Definitely worth visiting again.

The host was quickly responsive and informative to all my inquiries. He graciously met to guide us to the property, which was great! The fishing was fantastic for kids! They could fish close to the water’s edge and still catch loads of bluegills and even some largemouth bass - they had a blast! We’d certainly go back based on our experience.

What an amazing camping experience! The space was clean, the lake was beautiful, and I love that it was dog friendly! Dante is an amazing host and welcomed us with open arms and complete kindness. Highly recommend, the perfect space to get away from the chaos of daily life.

Amazing spot. The trees provided shade that made the heat bearable. The water felt phenomenal. The kayaks and canoe provided were so much fun! And we were given firewood for a campfire as well. Highly recommend!

There's a fire pit you can use here too (when there's not a fire warning)

Stellar location close to the San Dieguito Lagoon for bird watching and located just steps from the Crest Trail that takes you past the lagoon and all the way to the beaches at Del Mar. We enjoyed cool, quiet nights with a great view. Kimberly was very welcoming.

Good spot for those off grid and simple get away easy to find. Very large incline to entry of camping spot . I have a 22ft camper that weighs 11k lbs and it was a technical feet to enter . But all that being said it was a beautiful spot and well worth a visit

1 night at The Holidays Bell Tents

Definitely the perfect glamping option. My girls loved the tent and the beds were comfy. Plenty of room, bedding and towels provided with close proximity to the bathrooms/showers. Plenty of room inside with chairs, tables and lights. Tent was a 10/10. For the location, the only thing we’d do different is bring some sort of ant deterrent to put around the tent as we would randomly get crawled on while hanging out or sleeping.

We had a great time on “Hidden Lake”. Dante was a great host- met us at the end of the road to lead us up to the site, gave us a silver lure (that my boyfriend caught two fish with!), and generously walked up to lend us a can opener for our dinner. The picnic table and chairs were appreciated and we were so lucky to have kayaks and a canoe to take out on the lake. Would recommend!

Quiet large area. Chain across gate. We unhooked and went in. Owner did call upon arrival and confirmed. No problems. Large RV’s if you miss the spot the turn around is hard. Spot is right on the curve to the left. The was an empty camper there of the owners. No one in it.
