Nopalito Farm has been in operation since late 2014, but the property itself has been a working farm for over 50 years. Lemons and avocados were the primary crops from the 70’s through the 00’s, and are still prominent throughout our 15 acres. Our predecessors then diversified the growing operation by planting a wide range of fruit trees ranging from guavas and passion fruit to peaches and figs. Our property is 5 acres of flat land with a well and solar system. The house is the old FBI communications building from the 1950's with a flat roof for people to see views in all directions. The Cleveland national forest is less than a mile away and Black Mtn is in the distance stands at 4000 feet. We hike it with the Llamas and feel blessed to live in a beautiful place. We want to share this wonderful location with our community.

Camping at the date farm was a beautiful experience! Ron was very helpful with directions and check in. It was a quiet and restful stay and the personal hot spring was so nice to enjoy under the stars as well as with the sun was coming up. I definitely want to come back! Thanks for a great stay!

Ron and Myung are great hosts. We didn’t have super high expectations, but the sites they put together are comfortable, private, and pretty cute nestled in the date palms. The hot tub water is nice and hot and we would definitely stay here again. We saw a bobcat, road runners, and there was a great horned owl hooting outside our tent at night. If you want something polished feeling with matching sheets and towels, go elsewhere, but we appreciated the thrift store and DIY aesthetic at the sites. Also, Myung’s ramen was delicious and more food than we could finish in one sitting.

We had a great stay overall. The bathrooms were clean with flushable toilets. The private hot spring tub was really nice. Our tent was comfortable, and having electricity was nice as well as the bed. The provided hammock and chairs were great. The only downsides were a bit of nearby road noise and the campsites being somewhat close together, but it wasn’t bad enough to take away from the experience.

Had a great time. Tent was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we would have ever needed. We made pizza, tea, and breakfast. The bathrooms were clean. My only complaint would be that the showers were cold. We tried morning and night and there was no hot water. Would come back again. My daughter loved pointing out all of the avocados on the property.

Very happy with the stay. Stayed for one night on a Sunday. Enjoyed the pool & jacuzzi (not heated) in the day time very refreshing on a hot day. Enjoyed our private space, tent with King bed, fire pit, and of course the private hot mineral spring pool. Ron is very communicative. Everything simple, no stress. Just what the doctor ordered, thank you!

My wife and I along with our two dogs had a wonderful time at the Nopalito farm. The entire setting from the communal outdoor kitchen to the shower and outdoor seating areas were great. Jacob and his parents worked diligently to make all guests stay most comfortable. We definitely plan to come back.

The setting felt truly wild and alive — we even heard coyotes howling in the night. 🐾It was peaceful, private, and incredibly romantic. The food was beyond expectations — the ramen was one of the best bowls I’ve ever had, full of flavor and warmth. The dates were fresh and delicious, and you can truly feel the minerals in the water — my skin felt amazing afterward. The tent was cozy and comfortable, with soft bedding and surprisingly great air conditioning. After a day in the sun, relaxing in the shade and ending the night by the fire felt like pure magic. I can’t wait to come back.

Ron was a great host, he was always available for any questions and was overall extremely helpful! He made sure to situate me and my friends right next to each other so we can easily navigate between the 2 sites, there was a connecting path. The yurt was really nice and comfortable. The site we had was very large with a charcoal grill. The community kitchen had everything we needed. Be mindful if your using one of the stoves, you’ll need butane. They did have 2 hot plates as well. The mineral spring was big enough to fit the 4 of us comfortably. Just be careful getting in and out of the tub, it wasn’t a super sound walking path. Great trip, we will definitely be going back.

This place was delightful. Ron was very welcoming and the site we stayed at was its own little refuge from the world for one night. The site is well provided (tent with power), and the flowing water and surrounds of date palms give a sense of privacy and peace. I can see the attraction of staying here for several days and would love to come back and enjoy the settings many more times.
