Welcome! We’re Jillian and Joe, along with our sidekicks Sonora, Ayla and Rosalyn the brains and the brawn behind Mill Creek Resort. Since 2017, we have been pouring every ounce of our love and energy into this landmark 1930’s resort. We take great pride in honoring it's rich history while creating a space for the next generation of mountain adventurers.

Nestled in 12 acres of cedars and towering pines on the south side of Lassen Volcanic National Park, we offer 9 cabins open year-round, along with 20 campsites, some featuring glamping tents and 8 RV spots, two featuring a vintage 70's trailer and 2015 modern RV. 

We hope your path leads you here to experience all that Lassen has to offer. Miles of trails, pristine waters, dark skies, and wildlife abound, all awaiting to be discovered.

Alpen Vineyard Hideaway

Alpen Cellars Winery was established on a family ranch in the spring of 1984; it is situated in a picturesque mountain valley at the foot of towering craggy peaks in the rugged Trinity Lake region of Trinity County, California.

Alpen Cellars is a family venture in which each of us take part in the long painstaking process of wine production. From pruning to harvest, crush to fermentation and bottling, we strive for fine wine and a connection to our customers.

It may seem like an unlikely location to grow wine grapes, but the combination of high elevation and favorable microclimate provide the ideal conditions for early maturing grapes.

Enjoy the beauty and wonder of Lassen National Park while staying at our cozy, comfortable summer vacation glampsite located in Lassen National Forest.

The cabin has no electricity (no fridge, washer, dryer, etc), but is like a glampsite and has all the camping essentials, including drinking water, flush toilet, propane stove for cooking, comfortable beds and wood-burning fireplace to stay warm and night.

Please bring your own bedding (one full size bed and queen size sofa bed).

Please bring your own wood for the fireplace.

Camp Stoney Meadows

Our 220 remote acres are adjacent to Shasta Trinity National Forest in the beautiful Cascade Range between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta in Northern California.   

It's a working ranch with tree farms, animals, hydroelectric power, sawmill, gardens, orchards, creeks, springs, trails, and our camp alongside Kosk Creek.  

We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). DO NOT TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THE NORTH, IT IS CLOSED!  PIease try to ignore the "car art" in the Pit River Tribe's Rancheria as you're coming here.  Drive right through it, it's no reflection on us.  The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip! 

No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

Walker Mine Campground

Walker Mine Campground is surrounded by hundreds of acres of BLM land ready to be explored. Choose from a variety of secluded campsites perfect to rest and recharge for your next adventure. There are miles and miles of well maintained trails from Shasta Dam down to Keswick Reservoir and beyond.

Wonderland RV And Camping

Wonderland RV and Camping is a popular destination just minutes from Downtown Redding, Shasta Lake, Shasta Caverns, and much more! Nestled away just off of Interstate 5, our stunning  park features 33 spacious RV sites, and a large open field for those wanting to pitch a tent, play some games or to let your children and dogs frolic in the sunshine. Wonderland is surrounded by a forest with a relaxing stream running alongside it. We have 30 amp and 50 amp electrical hookups available, water, sewer, WIFI and cable, ensuring a comfortable stay. In addition to Redding and Shasta, there are several attractions that should be on your itinerary while in the region. The mountain hamlet of Dunsmuir, home of top fly-fishing streams, a railroad museum, and the nearby Castle Crags State Park. Farther away but worth the drive, especially in the warmer months, is Whiskeytown Lake, a 3,000 surface-acre reservoir of crystal-clear water that’s perfect for sailing, kayaking, fishing, and windsurfing. If you prefer to stay dry, admire it from the shore and hike to the 220-foot Whiskeytown Falls. A drive to the east are the fascinating steam vents, mud pots, fumaroles, and Sulphur Works of Lassen Volcanic National Park.

The Old Lewiston Bridge RV Resort is located in the small mining town of Lewiston, California in Trinity County. We are within walking distance of the old single lane bridge which spans the scenic Trinity River and the historic part of Lewiston. The picturesque surroundings are one our guests enjoy immensely. Wildlife flourishes in this area, deer graciously journey through the terrain on a regular basis, eagles soar above our forested mountains, ducks, blue heron and osprey are seen regularly. For the angular enthusiast, the Trinity River provides excellent fishing opportunities for steelhead, salmon and German browns. Burning Star Ranch

This property is easily accessed from Gilman Road on the McCloud Arm of Lake Shasta. When traveling north from Redding, California, take Exit 698 and continue 7.1 miles on Gilman Road toward Hirz Bay. The entrance is marked by a green cattle fence on the right-hand side.

The land is surrounded by a beautiful pine forest with a mix of trees and offers stunning mountain views. While the setting is private and peaceful, the property is conveniently located just seven minutes from the Hirz Bay boat launch.

On-site amenities include internet access and a screened room, ideal for escaping insects and enjoying meals at the outdoor picnic table. The property features two tent camping sites and one cabin. The cabin is powered by solar energy and includes Netflix for streaming. The screened room is equipped with a deep sink for washing dishes, and a BBQ is available for cooking.

Fire pits operate on propane to comply with fire restriction requirements. There is ample space for parking a boat or RV, and a dog kennel is available for pets. A porta-potty is also provided for convenience. Guests may use two kayaks and one paddleboard at no additional cost.

Come experience the family-favorite McCloud Arm of Shasta Lake and enjoy a more relaxed pace in this scenic setting.

Cozy Log Cabin Near Lassen Park

Are you ready to unplug from the world and recharge in nature? This newly built two bedroom, two bath log cabin will help you do just that. You’ll reconnect with love ones since the cabin has NO WIFI but does have a wood burning stove and miles of trails to walk on just outside of the front door. The cabin is conveniently located just minutes from the north entrance of Lassen National Park.

For entertainment, I have a TV (no cable)/DVD player with a selection of movies, board games, and reading material including a few books and magazines. 
There is timber land at the back of the property with plenty of trails to walk or ride a mountain bike (if you bring one).  Lassen National Park is a short drive away.  Also nearby is lake McCumber.
I have a wood burning stove inside that you can use for a fire.  
Absolutely NO FIRES outside.  There is a fire ban in effect, thank you for your cooperation and understanding.  I have a propane BBQ outside that you can use, along with a picnic bench and other outside seating. 

I will provide a selection of tea, hot coco, coffee and oatmeal to get your day started.  Be sure to bring food with you since the nearest grocery story is about 9 miles away. 

I will provide a basket of firewood to use during your stay, but it's a good idea to bring extra since it will go fast.

Because you're in the forest, there is limited cell reception so please plan accordingly.  I've found that Verizon has some signal while AT&T has none.  Since it's meant to get away from it all, not having cell service might be a good thing. :) 

The master bedroom is on the entire loft floor so there isn't a lock or door that separates the main area downstairs. Just so you're aware. There is a door and lock on the guest bedroom downstairs.

All you'll need to bring are your personal items, food for your stay,  and extra firewood!

Once booked, I will send more helpful tips and information for your stay a week prior to your check in date.

Dogs - I allow dogs because I believe they are part of the family, but please notify me if you intend to bring your dog prior to your stay. 

If there is high wind in the forecast, the electric company, PG&E may turn the power off for safety reasons.  They usually notify me a day in advance and I will let you know right away, but I wanted you to know that it might be a possibility during your stay.  

For Winter Guests:  A 4 wheel drive vehicle or car with chains is HIGHLY recommended to travel to the cabin.  The main road is paved but there will be snow/ice in the area.  The driveway is a slight uphill and is not paved.  Please be prepared for snow.

Corning Oaks

This particular property has been in the family for four generations now.
 It was in the past a producing walnut orchard that is now past its prime.
 The orchard is now home to a couple of horses and few wild turkeys.
 The property location is great for anyone traveling up or down Interstate 5 as we are located about two miles east of the interstate.
 The Sacramento River is five miles to the east and the Rolling Hills Casino is not too far away.
 The city of Chico is about 20 minutes away to the south and Lassen National Park and Shasta Lake are not too far north of the property.
 The site is perfectly located for numerous day long adventures.

Bring your self contained RV or Camper to a place that is an easy on and off stay near Interstate 5 and just south of the town of Corning.&nbsp; Your space is near a couple of huge valley oak trees and a pasture in an older walnut orchard.&nbsp; You will be the only camper on the property.  Every once in a while a few wild turkeys or a fox&nbsp;will wander through the area.&nbsp; The Sacramento River and the Rolling Hills Casino&nbsp;are 5 minutes away, not to mention Lassen National Park, Lake Shasta and the town of Chico nearby.

Just a bit of farm time

My dad bought the farm in 1979 and it used to be a working dairy and sheep farm. My dad passed away while cutting our 6 acre oat field on mothers day 2003, our little farm started to break down. We have been working on it to bring it back to life and I hope to have it up and running strong again. Sadly I just lost my mother on Aug 6th and my father Aug 13th then my stepdad Jan 18th Alot of loss but hopefully I can have a garden soon to offer more options for our guests.

Our farm is 3 miles west of town within 10 miles to Black Butte lake for fishing, boating, hiking, and even disk golf. Right off of I-5 by a Pilot travel center and Maverick. 4496 county road DD and also shows as Orange grove ave. on some GPS maps. Public pool 3miles(1pm-5pm, water arobics Tue and Thur 6-7pm $2, family night Tue and Thur 730-9pm June-Aug) as well as shopping and dining within 3miles. Great sunset and area to roam for a bike ride or walk in the country in our little hick town with only about 8000 population. It is very likely you will hear animals so if your a light sleeper you may want ear plugs. Chickens crow and roam, cows bellow from all sides, goats beller and roam, and dogs bark and welcome guests. No trespassing signs are for hunters and people that DO NOT have permission to be here. Driveway is rough and we are working on getting it smoothes out asap so please take your time coming up. There is FIELD roaches you may see soon after we irrigate, they are bigger then the nasty cockroach but harmless. The wind can be rough at times up here on our lil hill so be prepared with extra rope to tie down and secure if your in a tent, also park vehicle to help block from wind and driveway. It does get up into the high 100°s here during the summer so it would be good to have shade or plan to keep cool during the hottest parts of the day. The toilet is a outhouse with bucket and bag inserted, there is shavings to drop when done. Solar lights outside and 1 inside. I plan to upgrade and have shower bag thats heated from sun. Longer stays are best done at sites 4 and 5 further from the driveway. Quick stops just to sleep are best at 1 and 2. Rainy weather only sites 5, 6 and 1 are usable sadly.

Trinity River FlyCamp

FlyCamp is Trinty River front property surrounded by BLM land and Salmon spawning pond, adjacent to a federally maintained drift boat launch and bathroom.  This stretch of river is  classified as Wild and Scenic and is  legendary for its salmon, steelhead and Brown Trout fishing by drift boat starting from the Old Bridge in Lewiston or from the property ending at the Steel Bridge take out, or wading the more than 2 mile of river front.  The natural beauty of the Trinity River has been one of the most popular sights for visitors to the north coast. Scenic Highway 299 makes easy access to many points of interest. Rafts, canoes and kayaks frequent the rapids in the springtime, and tubers enjoy summertime flows.
