Welcome to Ouachita River Haven! Nestled between Ouachita National Forest property and the Ouachita River, our Haven is a peaceful little slice of nature for you to take a break, catch your breath, and enjoy the outdoors! Property has 1000 ft of river access, with canoe & kayak docks, swimming hole, volleyball and tetherball, horseshoes, swings. We offer hiking, mountain biking, and river shuttles as well as canoe/kayak/tube rentals and shuttles. Such trips should be reserved in advance by messaging us or visiting our website. Our office sells firewood for $5/bundle. We also have a small array of custom woodwork items from our woodshop, freeze dried snacks and hiking restocks, food from local vendors, and souvenirs! All primitive sites have a picnic table, fire ring, and campfire grill grate. Electric sites are 30 amp, if using for tent camping you will need a 3-prong converter (we can rent one to you for $5 if you do not have your own). RV/Camper MAXIMUM length is 28 feet. Tipi rental is a camping experience only; it does not have electricity, a/c or heat. There are solar lights inside. We do have a Queen Sized outdoor bed and bedding available to add to rental for $10/night. Bunkhouse is a camping experience - bring your own bedding. A/C, heat, electricity, TV & DVDs, Microwave, and Mini fridge are inside. Guests use campground restrooms Campground restrooms and showers are a short walk from campgrounds. We are pet-friendly. Dogs must be leashed at all times that they are not in a tent or camper and friendly with other dogs and people. There is a working dog on the property-he is friendly with all people and dogs.

No other guests will overlap your stay. You will enjoy the peaceful solitude in nature completely alone! It's a great location for romantic getaways, silent personal retreats, yoga, playing in the river, or just spending quiet one-on-one time with your spouse or significant other. The last 1/2 mile of dirt road is a little rough, so cars with very low ground clearance are not recommended. A truly delightful place! So many thoughtful details like a porch swing by the river and adutch door on the rustic john so sunrise can be seen from the rustic throne. The privacy and quiet provided by the entire place being our own was grand. I've taken the baths at Hot Springs bathhouses and the outdoor bath at Thunder Mountain way surpassed them. Communication was great. The trails were wonderful. The entire property is well cared for . We heard two kinds of owls, saw hawks, an eagle and kingfishers. Saw three different kinds of lizards. I caught a large mouth bass and saw lots of fish hanging out in the clear waters.

I had this place saved and kept eyeing it and finally pulled the trigger! I wish I could’ve stayed more than one night! I had been exploring and car camping in Arkansas with my pup and definitely was feeling a shower and so glad I ended up here. It was last minute so I really appreciate the host’s quick response and accommodation. I drive a FWD Honda HR-V so not too low to the ground. I didn’t have any trouble except had to back down hill and speed up to get up the last bit getting into site but I made it and worth it! I got in just in time to setup and go jump in the river and grill a steak and asparagus on their propane grill and then shower in the outdoor shower house. Hot and cold water and great water pressure, it was wonderful and same with sink🙌🏼WiFi worked close to cabin, as mentioned. I had no issue with it while in tent which I set up on the deck (was also able to back my car in close to deck to unload). The outhouse and flushable toilet was cherry on top heading out in the morning. Had so many people asking about it from my snaps. So I will definitely be back and possibly even family vacation in the cabin!

My experience here was 1000/10!! If you love everything nature I highly recommend this campsite. The owner answered every single one of my questions, & in a timely manner. There was so much to explore close by & at the campsite. A big plus for my stay was having the Wolfpen ATV trails close by. If you have ATVs i highly highly recommend staying here. & even if you don’t you can always rent them. I have a deep love for nature, specifically trees & waterfalls. Here you get the best of both worlds. The swimming hole has a decent size waterfall, it was so breathtaking! Right by camp 5 there is a path that takes you to the creek it is so beautiful. The full hookups for the RV were very convenient & a big plus in my stay. Upon arrival the owner brought firewood to our site which was amazing. It was very easy pulling in and out of the site as well. If you do stay here to experience the ATV trails I highly recommend going to little Mo falls & off the trails there’s a string of breathtaking waterfalls you can swim in (it’s down the windy hill to the right on the way to little Mo falls) If you don’t have ATVs you can also drive a car to Little Mo falls. The Big fork mall/cafe is very close to the campsite. They helped us out with directions/ navigating the ATV trails & getting to Little Mo falls.

The pictures and reviews are spot on—this place is just as amazing as everyone says. Quiet, scenic, and the perfect spot to recharge or have fun, because they really did think of everything! Totally worth the stop! Definitely would be a great family get together camp!

The host has seriously thought of everything here. From the outdoor games, comforts in nature, vintage soda machine, and watercrafts available, it is awesome. We absolutely loved our stay! We enjoyed the private site, pedal boating, swimming with our dogs, and the luxurious shower house. Taking a bath while overlooking the water was stunning! It was amazing to have comforts like a bathtub, shower, and flushing toilet while camping! We can't wait to go back.

We drove from Oklahoma to stay in our camper at the riverside spot with electric. It had been raining pretty heavily in the couple of weeks before our stay but we were hoping for the best. Casey, the host had communicated with us that of the riverside spot was too soggy we could set up at the top of the hill (easier, but not good views) if the spot we booked was too soggy. He left it up to us and we tried the soggy spot down the hill. After we got unloaded and hooked up it started raining and the river was rising. We got pretty nervous about potential for flooding and decided to go ahead and move back up the hill while we could. We totally got stuck in the mud with the camper hooked up! Casey was kind to get out in the monsoon with his truck and pull us out! We got set up at the top of the hill with his help, but decided we had better leave in the morning since we wouldn't be able to kayak on the river as we had planned. Before we left Casey gave us directions to a beautiful hike with a small waterfall. We will come back soon to kayak the river. The location is very pretty and works great if you want to float or kayak the river back down to your camp; that's why I booked this specific place. There were also cabins and tent camping that looked very nice. Casey, thank you again for being so kind and gracious. Bad luck on the weather but I'm looking forward to trying again!

Nice spot with views into the Ozark mountains of Arkansas. Quiet and nice spot to walk around with the hound dog. Saw a summer tanager and a few other nice birds. Wifi was a bit touch and go, due to the storms in the area, but otherwise all was good.
