We lie at the edge of civilization but we have good cell phone service and water hydrants and electrical outlets for recharging phones. And from March through November hot water showers are freely available.
Our place is a bit rough, rugged and unruly yet we call it home -- a place where everyone regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, political views, religion, or culture is welcomed to come enjoy nature's marvelous works and wonders. First come first serve on each spot. The camp spots are not graveled, leveled, etc.. just the bare earth. The majority of this property is the woods, open fields, rough terrain, etc. So you will experience all Nature has to offer. Things like poison ivy, seed ticks, chiggers, ants, spiders, snakes, wildlife...Always check with the host on the app before arrival. Arriving when it gets dark will mean you will be setting up in the dark unless you have brought lanterns. If you've booked a site, the gate will be open for you, but you will be on your own. The camp host from April 27 - July 1st is on call for guests needs, but is not on site. Checkout time is by Noon. Check in is at 2:00 pm. If you'd like to stay another night, you must reserve another night online.

This was such an awesome camping experience! The campsite and amenities are top notch. The view of the bluff was so epic. There was the coolest restored stainless steel mobile home that served as the bathhouse, shared kitchen, and hangout spot with a great deck.
Robert the host was very nice and met us upon arrival and led us back to the camp.
I look forward to going back. It was a great time.

My family and I loved our time together on Michelle’s land. Picture perfect views, kayaks, paddle boats, water toys. We never even left the pond it was so much fun. The view of the lake is beautiful, but with a private pond and dock all to our selves, we couldn’t be pulled away! There were 4 of us and 3 dogs and not any of us had a single complaint. Also it was the nicest Hipcamp restroom I have ever experienced. 10/10 recommend! We can’t wait to go back!

Im considering going back immediately. This is the solitude and peace I’ve been driving around the country looking for (even though it’s in Jason’s backyard!) Plus it has water and electric hookups! You can really have it all! Per Jason’s recommendation, I got up early to watch the sun rise over the Arkansas river. It was perfect. You really park as close as humanly possible to the river, like it’s your RV, then a slope, then the river. I spent a day playing guitar on the steps that lead down to the water’s edge, and I think I’d do that every day if I could. Thanks for sharing heaven!

Robert and his wife Susan were wonderful hosts! Me and my lady had a great time. The outlook is jaw-dropping gorgeous and the stars were great, little to no light pollution this far out. We were also pleasantly surprised with the amount of amenities we were provided! The coffee was great! We also would like to mention the common era is awesome, with a full ceramic toilet, hot water, and working sink. 10/10!

All three of the camp sites would have been great; we stayed at Site 1 just next to the deep ravine. The sunset and sunrise views were wonderful. We greatly enjoyed river barges that passed by throughout the night (5 or 6). Their arrival and passage was subtle but apparent. Wood was available for a campfire in the provided ring but due to the wind off the river we chose not to light a fire. We saw a variety of wild fowl. Our two dogs enjoyed the environment following a half day of road travel. We had no trouble locating the camp. We look forward to returning with friends.

My boyfriend and I stayed the weekend in site 6 and had a great time. Camp Toasty was all to ourselves the first night. The other campers were down at the creek. It looked nice but we were unsure if our vehicle would handle it well so we stayed up top. The neighboring donkey came over to visit at the fence and stayed until I couldn't hold my arm up to pet her any more. lol. The next morning my boyfriend saw the pig and was so amazed at how big he is. The nights were quiet, the stars were clearly seen from our site and it was just all round a great stay. We had purchased 2 bundles of firewood with our site and boy did they deliver. The wood was there when we got to our site (it actually helped locate which was our site). These were chunks of wood not just those little pieces you get from the store. They were stacked and there were some already placed in our fire pit ready for us. There was even a pile of sticks for kindling waiting. The site was mostly flat so finding somewhere to set up our tent and potty house wasn't difficult while still being near the car. It really was much better than I expected.

Group trip
My group accidentally booked a campsite here before they opened for the season. Rather than cancelling our booking, they opened the whole camp just for us. I traveled in a group of women and never felt unsafe. Tommy was very kind and welcoming. Bathroom facilities were clean and well kept and the tent camping site was nice and spacious. Overall, we had a great experience here!
