Buck Horn Ranch LLC is over 120 acres of diverse landscape from the Hardwood ridge lines to Saline River bottoms to Native Warm Season Grass uplands with over 1 1/2 miles of Saline River access. Bring your kayaks and try your fishing skills on the Saline or the 5 acre private lake (catch and release at the lake). Hike or bring your bikes to ride the several miles of gravel trails. Or just set and relax by the cabin or the seasonally maintained wildlife food plots and watch for whitetail deer, eastern turkey, wood ducks, red tail hawk, American Bald Eagle and various other wildlife. And still only a 22 minute drive to Hot Springs National Park.

Years ago this area saw major civil war battles, the Oak trees at Jenkins Ferry are huge and have a story to tell.  Much of the land in the area had been logged heavily and even this land was clear cut.  It is now a thriving pine forest, the land owner is working to co exist with the animals and nature.

Fishers Pond at the Treehouse

Fishers Pond at the Tree House was built as a tree house for my son. There is wildlife to view: cranes on the pond, squirrels, deer out the windows. I have seen as many as 6 at one time. Catfishing is great. We have pulled fish as big as 10 lbs. I have trails cut through the woods on my 10 acres for short nature walks

Historic Orphanage & Farm Stand

St Joseph Center was designed by renowned architect, Charles Thompson and completed in 1910. This beautiful 56,000 sq ft. building sits on 63 acres of land that has been farmed for more than a century.

It is on the National Register of Historic Places. St. Joseph's is also a designated Arkansas Dept. of Agriculture Century Farm (established in 1907).

Over the years, St. Joseph's served as an orphanage, school, nursing home, day care, and retreat center run by the Benedictine Sisters of St. Scholastica. In 2008, the Diocese of Little Rock announced that St. Joseph's was closing and that the property would be sold. This news prompted the creation of St. Joseph Center of Arkansas, an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the mission to save and revitalize the property.

Our 65 acre farm in the city of North Little Rock was started in 1908. The hill top property was a catholic orphanage.  The 65,000 sqft orphanage building is the center of the property and tours are available for a small fee.  

We are locations just down the road from Camp Robinson, which has a large network of horse and bike trails.  Burns Park is also down the road.  The park has trails, golf, sports, and much more.  It's the largest park in central arkansas.

A public ball field is located across the street & ;a the city park is a short walk away. Dollar General very close. Peckerwood lake   is 32 miles away.
