Great spot with attention to detail
Mark was a great host… available and responsive but not overly so. His property is very charming with plenty of space to roam and feel like you’re really out of town. But you’re close to the city should you need anything. This place packs a lot in it.
And the bathroom; hands down the best camp bathroom I’ve ever seen!

Tree House on the Pond
The Treehouse is great. A relaxing getaway. The cabin provides a nice air conditioned place to rest after a day of hiking, fishing, or just sitting outside reading a book. Mark was an excellent host, very cordial, understanding, and willing to answer any questions we had. Thanks, Mark!

Amazing place! The property is beautiful and the restroom/shower was super clean. Totally recommend staying here. As a single female staying in this property I felt very safe.

Mark was a gracious host, extremely accommodating and very helpful! With the ability to self check-in, we were able to show up a little before midnight. We stayed here for one night on our way to Ozark National Forest and we will definitely make this our stop again in the future!

Wonderful place to stay!
This is a great place to stay! Marc is very nice and easy going. The area is clean, safe, and private. Loved the pond and lighting at night. He even helped me out with some raccoons that had successfully gotten into a container outside lol The very best part is the hot shower and private bathroom though! I never wanted to get out. Nice touch and much appreciated! I highly recommend this place and I will be back!

Highly recommend!
Mark was a very good host. His property accommodated our rv and he has a great set up with seating, picnic table, grill, trash can, lighting and even had a fire going for us. Best of all was the great bathroom with a/c and large shower. Also the wifi was the best we've had from all the places claiming to have internet.

Tree House on the Pond
We loved our stay at Mark’s treehouse. Upon arrival, we were greeted by him and he walked us through the property. The treehouse had two beds, heat and AC, WiFi, a tv, fire pit, fishing pole+tackle box, canoe, a full bathroom with a propane heater, hammocks, and much more! The property is gated so you feel secure at all times. It is also a short 10 minute drive to downtown Little Rock! Will definitely stay here again if I find myself in the area and I would highly recommend, thanks Mark!

The goonies
It was everything and more of what you would expect from a pond tree house. Not really off the beaten path but still a nice place. My grandparents used to live on a river house in Texas and it reminded me very much of their old river house. Thanks Mark for booking on short notice. Ps. My 8 year old daughter loved sleeping on the top loft like she was in the goonies.

Tree House on the Pond
No frills cabin on a pond
Me & 3 friends stayed here last minute after we got caught in a rain storm and couldn’t go to our originally booked campsite. Mark was very accommodating for our last minute reservations. It was a no frills cabin. Has a pull out couch and a loft you can sleep on. It was very pretty to wake up to the pond out front and we even caught a cat fish in one cast before we left. Don’t come here expecting a glamorous tree house and you won’t be disappointed. Mark did warn us there could be bugs but we didn’t see any so if bugs are a deal breaker maybe go elsewhere. Mark was very nice & welcoming.
Tree House on the Pond
Convenient,l; book at your own risk
Pros: Mark was responsive and friendly. I was able to find the place without issue and was warm and safe when there. However, I don’t think this place is ready for visitors at this time, so I wanted to list a few of my reservations to better inform future Hipcampers.
Cons: I don’t feel this place is accurately described. You are essentially in someone’s backyard. It is a shed with heading and a futon. It is it a treehouse. There are RVs on the property in addition to the host’s house, so you are not alone. The host does not provide a key, so if you leave anything there to explore, you are leaving it at your own risk.
Also, there were a couple things not included in the listing. I’d encourage anyone booking in the future to ask about these before booking:
1) squirrels: after I paid for my booking, Mark called me to let me know a previous occupant had discovered baby squirrels. Mark had laid out traps but it was possible there would still be squirrels there. I had already paid and was on my way at this point. I heard a squirrel in the walls as I was there. It was unnerving but I ultimately was safe.
2) rain: there was a heavy rain that night as I fell asleep. It sounded magical hitting the tin roof. As I got ready in the morning, I noticed drops on my stuff. The accumulators snow and rain had impacted the roof.

Tree House on the Pond
Mark's treehouse is rugged yet quaint and clean. The area is on the outskirts of Little Rock with a wooded backdrop, however the road noise can be heard. We enjoyed our stay as a middle ground of camping and glamping.

Great for short stay!
I didn't realize it would have a pond so close and a playground for the kids. Be prepared though, the host does say there's no bathroom! Bring a bucket or use the one provided. And the host emphasized the entrance is through the lighted gate since GPS brings you to another gate! Host was welcoming and friendly. Wifi is either very weak or not present unless you get close to host's home.

Humble stay; great fishing!
Mark and his family are wonderful hosts; the pond is rife with catfish, they're bitin' and big enough for eatin'; the treehouse will spoil any avid tent camper, and the area is generally gorgeous.
Insider tip: Bring your stash of grocery bags for the potty!

Perfect stay!
What a great spot! It was perfect. Very relaxing get away.
Mark will meet you at the gate and he’s nice as he can be. If you’re looking for a super remote, nobody around situation, this probably isn’t for you....but we had the whole place to ourselves and it was like we were in the middle of nowhere. It’s lit up so well at night, too. Great place to retreat to read, write, relax or whatever you like to do. It was a perfect start to my first experience with Hipcamp.
Oh, and if you’re lucky enough for it to rain, it’s magic when it hits the roof.

Treehouse Getaway
My wife and I enjoyed it! Although a little compact, it was quiet and serene. Since he hasn't installed plumbing, you'll need to either use his provided bucket, bags, and toiletries or a nearby gas station or other venue for restroom and showering needs. (We weren't privy to this info beforehand and bought a bucket and the other items. More communication on this front would've been nice).
Also, though everything was clean and tidy, we noticed some wasps (dormant and active) already made their residence. I had to kill a few inside, sweep the lethargic ones out, kill two or three trying to get in, and check the rest of the treehouse for nests, of which I found two tiny ones. Evidently he is aware of this since we discovered a couple of large, dead nests in the yard next to the front. It wasn't the worse, but I didn't expect to be slightly paranoid the first night whether we'd be stung in our sleep or not.
But he was generous enough to allow some of our friends to come by and hang out for a few hours and make s'mores with his on-site firewood.
I'd recommend it, unless bucket-toilets and wasps aren't your forte.

Tree House on the Pond
Beautiful, primitive and welcoming!
This is a gigantic thank you to Mark and his wonderful family! If you are in the Little Rock area and want a private, rustic place to call home, stay here!
I loved the treehouse with a passion. It’s small and rustic and adorable. It is directly behind a huge stocked pond complete with fishing poles, docks and a fountain. Behind the treehouse are woods complete with trails and a natural spring. We felt so welcome as we were allowed to wander the huge yard as we wished. Mark is always working on everything and making improvements daily. Water was easy to get to and I did have a great hose shower!
Mark has gorgeous lights everywhere. There are sensors as well so you and perhaps your small dog are always safe and never in the dark.
Most importantly, we felt welcomed and comfortable. When I lost my phone, everyone helped out on a search and rescue. Mark recommended various places that I was looking for and could not have been more helpful.
The treehouse is small and clean with futon and terrific chair. If you’re hot, Mark has a window unit, no worries!
I highly recommend this beautiful and very safe haven only a hop away from Little Rock. Thank you so very much, Mark!
