Van Buren River Fun RV & Campsites opened for the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 with a sold out campground! It was an awesome experience to see the beautiful Eclipse!! Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a ton of fun! This campground is unique because it comes with private access to 1 mile of river access at Shote Hole Bluff there's a shallow gravel bar for swimming, lounging in the sun in your chair, cooking out, a boat dock, you can set up a canopy for the day and have fun in the sun in the pristine crystal clear gorgeous spring fed Current River! The RV and camp sites have access to a potable water spigot, a porta potty all season long from May 24th through September 3rd, a sewer dump site and the RV and campsites have their own fire rings. The river is directly across the road from the campground. This is the quietest campground that is close to the river and it is very close to Van Buren. We had a great time camping on Teresa's land. It has all the hookups you need and more! Very peaceful remote area, but still close enough to Van Buren that fetching any forgotten supplies is a breeze. She was also very kind, suggesting locations, offering advise, and even getting us some extra fire wood. One thing of note is to not listen to your GPS when arriving and actually read Teresa's email with detailed directions. Lol Otherwise you end up down her neighbor's driveway and look like an idiot. 😂

This full hook-up site was perfect in every way! It is so peaceful and in a pretty setting. We spent a week and enjoyed each day. Teresa is a wonderful host and a very kind person. If we come back to this beautiful area in the future, we will definitely want to stay here again. We highly recommend this campground.

Teresa was a great host! She sent me very clear directions to her land before we arrived. When we got there, she welcomed us and told us the best restaurants in the area and sites to see and answered any questions we had. She offered free firewood. Her land was right off the main highway, but had minimal traffic noise. It was just a few miles away from big Spring, a must see!

Weekend Trip to Shipps Landing White River

We had a wonderful, quiet stay here. Unfortunately, there is a severe drought and the creek wasn’t running but it was so quiet and peaceful that we didn’t even mind. The river is a hop skip and a jump from our camping spot so we ran down to take a look and enjoy the view. Speaking of views, it is worth taking the trails! We would definitely come back and encourage others to enjoy this property as well.

A wonderful farm way off the road! Sites are wide with full hook ups. We only stayed one night on long haul across the country. Use google maps though, Apple Maps sends you the wrong direction! If your looking for peace and quiet and to get away from it all there isn't a better place.

We stayed in the glamping tent, it was our first time ever staying in something like this. We typically either tent camp or stay in a cabin. It was a great location on the scenic byway. It was close to everything we wanted to see and do for a short weekend. The site was clean and the bed was super comfy. The night got cool so we were thankful for the heated bed. Thanks for a great stay!!

This was my first solo camp with my dog and it was the perfect spot! Loved having a spot all to myself. I wasn’t sure how much firewood I would need and Susan made sure I was taken care of. Also loved the firewood was locked away from the elements but also easy to access and having electricity out there was great! Rocky falls is two miles down the road and is beautiful of course (has restrooms also). I had the most amazing time and look forward to frequenting this site!

Weekend Trip to Twisted H Ranch LLC

Katrina was very kind and welcoming. The other campers were friendly as well. The spaces are close together, but just what I needed to sleep over for the night for a family gathering in the area. The bathroom/shower was nice and clean as well. I did go down to the river and it is quite the trip downhill in my 4-wheel truck, so might not be for everyone. It is secluded and quiet and lovely though. However, Buck Hollow is also nearby and not a far drive. It was quiet and I felt safe.

Weekend Trip to Williams Camp : Eleven Point River

We reserved the entire Williams camp for float trip group and it worked great! Had 4 campers setup and half dozen tents. Water and electric worked great also! Floated the eleven point river with Hufstedlars outfit. They were able to pickup/dropoff at our location, which is clutch, nobody had to drive after the float. It was really nice to have a place for our group all by ourselves, very secluded but still easily accessible. Phone service was 50/50 for some of us, but personally my phone worked well the entire time while at the campsite. You are definitely in the woods, so be ready with the bug spray and tick prevention. Overall, my group of 18 had a great experience here, we would def reserve this again when we come back to the 11pt River.
