You'll have a private place of your own, with access to some of Missouri states most hidden springs, rivers, waterfalls, fishing, hunting, hiking, (some of the best) horseback riding trails, and historic landmarks. Rather you're after solitude or sport, this area has you covered. Kayak, canoe, and shuttle rental, service is available at hufstedlers.com and is a short 11.5 mile drive. Beautiful eleven point river offers blue, red, and white ribbon, spring fed trout/walleye water. If you're looking to float the river, be sure to research the many springs on the way down your trip and the historic mill communities that once flourished there. These are perfect opportunities to take a break, eat a meal, and explore the area. Most also will have public bathrooms. Unless there are multiple reservations, you will be allowed to hookup/stay at whichever site is the easiest for you to get parked at. Maps of the area and things to do will continue to be updated as they are developed. In the mean time, a great resource is MissouriScenicRivers.com. Save at least a day for the Craft Village! Shopping with our downtown vendors will make for a fun afternoon...then stay and listen to the musicians as they casually play in the downtown parks and in front of the various businesses. We boast the cleanest bath house in town, onsite laundry facility, & community center with full kitchen, jam sessions every Wednesday, partying and entertaining. I moved here in 2016 from Atlanta, Georgia. I actually lived in an RV in a beautiful park for several years there. And, loved it! I thought I was going to do that here, but changed my mind when I found this sweet little house on a couple of acres. Deer visit us, and bunnies make their homes here. I have cats and dogs of my own.
I work at the Calico Rock Museum and invite you to visit us. We have a wonderful Heritage Center and a gallery/gift shop with works of art created by local artisans.

Nice, private, shady. Easy to get to from Hwy. 56. About 2 miles from the White River and Main Street Calico Rock.
Turn from Hwy. 56 can be tricky for big rigs because of a ditch at Jones Street. Left hand turn is easier than right hand turn.
You can use the parking lot across the street to help you back your rig into the campsite. We have permission from the owner to do that.
There is room for your boat, too. Pets are welcome. Close to grocery, bank, gas.
The White River is famous for it’s trout fishing. Deer hunting in the area, too. (Not on this property.)
