Weekend Trip to Cold Creek Valley

Lovely spot, driving directions were spot on, and so peaceful/secluded. Mix of sun and shade during the day, thoughtful solar lights at night to mark the site, platform, and outhouse. Host Mason was very responsive and helpful- being able to pay ahead for treated/native firewood and have it left at the site (with little fire starters) was a thoughtful touch. Just needed a last minute get-out-of-town spot and this was perfect.

Was amazing and would highly recommend this site to anyone who's even considering going. The owners were kind and thoughtful as can be! Upgraded us to site 2 due to bad weather and even stopped by the day we left just to check up and see how it went. My group will definitely have to be going again! The scenery was amazing and the trails were well kept and easy to navigate, as they provided plenty of signs to help guide you as well as some pretty fun ones to come across too. Vista point was probably one of the highlights of our trip as the scenery was just breath taking! Whether alone or with some pals you have to check it out! Getting there wasn't too hard either, just make sure to follow the instructions carefully!

Me and my husband loved the stay we had at Sunset Mountain , the campgrounds were beautiful, serene, and welcoming. Our host James was very accommodating and welcoming. The trail we walked was so peaceful and well maintained. The hot tub was beyond relaxing the jets gave the best massage. The bathroom was very clean. When we set up our tent the campsite was very clean normally I have to sweep an area for my tent but not here it was very nice how maintained the campgrounds were. We will definitely be back for more fun in the sun on beautiful Sunset Mountain!

This was such a delightful campsite! Big quiet open space with great sunsets. Those were the cleanest porta potties I ever used and the hot shower was a very nice touch! Damon and Robin were super responsive and checked on us a couple of times to confirm we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again when in Bentonville!

Amenities were good. Hot shower( outdoor sheltered) drinking water, clean large (handicap size) porta potty under canopy, sinks for washing dishes, old bus to hang out in. It was stocked with bike trail maps and tourist info. Seats arranged around tables. Canopy with BBQ for use, free firewood. Old pay phone both with power for charging electronics. Group fire pit and individual camp site pits. Damon the owner was very friendly. The hole area has grass. Minimal bugs.

Lots of work has gone into making a big camp with potential for large group. New housing development next property, so minor construction noise daytime. Very clean and spacious. Definitely likely to return.

2 nights at Happy Hippy Acres Wooded Wonderland

I loved camping here!! Jerry was so kind, and brought us a hammock when we realized someone from our group forgot theirs. It was very peaceful, and will definitely be back in the summer to swim in the recommended swim spots! Also, great hammock spots around the fire!

We had a great stay. The owner and other community residents were very friendly and helpful. It was just me and my 9 year old and we felt very safe there. Also enjoyed having the hiking trail right near our site.

Damon was so accommodating and helpful. We arrived at Coler at 6 pm and had to leave because we our small Class C didn't meet their requirements. We found Pea Ridge Bike Camp on Hipcamp and gave Damon a call. He encouraged us to drive over and check the camp out. After looking around and chatting it up with Damon, we booked our stay. Pea Ridge is rustic with large sites and an outdoor restroom and shower. We had a fire rig with a decent stack of wood. There's also a big outdoor community area with a large fire ring, etc. It was quiet and peaceful. We'll plan to stay here again next time we visit Bentonville!

Great spot close to downtown Bentonville. Half a mile from a trailhead, if mountain biking is your thing. Bryan is the nicest guy. He was genuinely interested in making sure I was having a good time.

Even though we are right off Hwy 62, we have a full line of trees separating us from the highway so you don’t see it, but can hear it slightly. Overall it’s a quiet spot with beautifully manicured flowerbeds and wild vegetation to the enjoy including butterfly bushes, zinnias, and other popular pollinator/butterfly attractants! Fires are allowed as long as proper Fire Safety Guidelines are followed (including use of a fire ring/barrier and ensuring your fire is properly extinguished. There’s LOTS of rock available onsite to make a fire ring.) Split firewood is available onsite for a small fee, or feel free to harvest wood from the woods surrounding the property for free, but please do NOT bring or use Out of Region wood on our property due to pests. Pea Ridge Bike Camp

The Pea Ridge Bike Camp has primitive campsites available for visitors to Northwest Arkansas and can accommodate tent campers, campervans, small and large campers and RVs. Even smaller Class A motorhomes (length isn't an issue but weight on a grassy field might be a concern should it rain heavily) We offer large, spacious campsites along with firepits, free firewood and large cable spool tables at each campsite. Potable water, outside sinks, an outside shower, 3 large ADA portable toilets (1 in front and 2 in back), and trash bins are centrally located to most of the areas. There is a large in-ground community firepit, a large canopy, 4 picnic tables on the property, a propane barbecue grill, a bike wash station, 2 hammocks on frames and a vintage phone booth (with phone charging capabilities, visitor information and trail maps) onsite. We are currently providing free firewood for each firepit. Pea Ridge Bike Camp is about 7 miles to downtown Bentonville and only 5 miles from Exit 88 and I-49. We are located n the country, yet only 1/8 mile to state highway 72. Restaurants, food trucks, groceries, banking and laundry facilities are only 2 miles away in Pea Ridge. Pea Ridge Bike Camp is located 5 miles northeast of Bentonville and most of the bike trails are on the north side of Bentonville. The gravel trails run right in front of Pea Ridge Bike Camp on Blue Jay Rd. This is a place where you can be very close to everything Northwest Arkansas has to offer and while still being in the country. A peaceful place that you can easily return to after exploring many of the popular bicycling and hiking trails in the area, visiting Crystal Bridges or other local museums, or attending one of the many events, such as Bikefest, Bikes, Blues, and Barbecue, the annual craft fairs, or performances at the Walmart Amp or the Momentary. We are also close to Eureka Springs and Beaver Lake. We welcome you to stay at the Pea Ridge Bike Camp. We do offer group camping and the dispersed campsite locations are only a suggestion. All dispersed camping locations are flexible upon arrival. We will allow low-noise generators to be used, but have limited them to the dispersed sites in order to better accommodate all of our guests. * We do require you to book into a dispersed campsite in order to use a generator. ** Please let us know If you are planning to use a generator. Sunset Mountain is an exclusive reservation only 18+ clothing optional/nudist campground located on my working cattle farm. (Please do not drive up to our gate and try to get in. If you are not familiar with TNSF or AANR you can do a quick internet search and see some basic guidelines for social nude recreation. Make sure to check out “Mini Hawksbill Crag”- a rocky outcropping hanging off the cliff side. Another fun trail leads you up a creek bed with multiple small waterfalls. A couple canoes and kayaks are available to float the river if you desire as an add on. You can go upstream easily in normal water flow! If you’re looking for fun family time with your kids, I will do whatever I can to help you during your stay to make lasting memories. We’re big believers in families enjoying the outdoors together! A truck can be driven to riverside campsite when dry or there is a 100 yard walk from a small parking area. More vehicles can be parked on top of hill which is 5 minute walk. There is a picnic table and fire pit at the riverside campsite. Bald Eagles are seen most days in the winter. Birders will also appreciate the feeder in the campsite. Fishing poles are available as an add on. You can bring your own too! Catch small mouth, large mouth, bream, crappie, catfish, gar, and carp/buffalo, but you’re competing with the neighborhood beaver so be on the lookout for him! Please release small mouth besides a legal keeper is 14" (6-7 year old fish!) and limit of 2. Rear wheeled drive vehicles should park at the parking area by old stable Absolutely no hunting wildlife or foraging mushrooms without prior approval.

We are on beautiful deep clear Beaver Lake in NW Arkansas. 35 minutes from Rogers and Bentonville, AR. The White River is nearby. Famous Crystal Bridges is in Bentonville. The only spots an RV, camper or vehicle camping can be set up is in camp spots #1 and #2.Tent camping only at spots #3 and 4.Bring your own fire wood or some can be provided for a fee when you arrive. Please do not take wood from the natural habitat. Please take your trash with you and do not burn plastics or glass in the fire pits. Paper and wood only for burning.
