Welcome to Ouachita River Haven!
Nestled between Ouachita National Forest property and the Ouachita River, our Haven is a peaceful little slice of nature for you to take a break, catch your breath, and enjoy the outdoors! Property has 1000 ft of river access, with canoe & kayak docks, swimming hole, volleyball and tetherball, horseshoes, swings.
We offer hiking, mountain biking, and river shuttles as well as canoe/kayak/tube rentals and shuttles. Such trips should be reserved in advance by messaging us or visiting our website.
Our office sells firewood for $5/bundle. We also have a small array of custom woodwork items from our woodshop, freeze dried snacks and hiking restocks, food from local vendors, and souvenirs!
All primitive sites have a picnic table, fire ring, and campfire grill grate.
Electric sites are 30 amp, if using for tent camping you will need a 3-prong converter (we can rent one to you for $5 if you do not have your own). RV/Camper MAXIMUM length is 28 feet.
Tipi rental is a camping experience only; it does not have electricity, a/c or heat. There are solar lights inside. We do have a Queen Sized outdoor bed and bedding available to add to rental for $10/night.
Bunkhouse is a camping experience - bring your own bedding. A/C, heat, electricity, TV & DVDs, Microwave, and Mini fridge are inside. Guests use campground restrooms
Campground restrooms and showers are a short walk from campgrounds.
We are pet-friendly. Dogs must be leashed at all times that they are not in a tent or camper and friendly with other dogs and people. There is a working dog on the property-he is friendly with all people and dogs.

The water is set to HOT, and we have it set there because the hot water heater is a travel trailer size, so it only puts out a small amount of hot water. Please don't burn your hands washing them!
Also feel free to turn it down if you need to, it is right under the kitchen sink.
We recommend expecting a quick shower or turning the water off and on to soak your hair if you need to wash it and then lathering up.
If the house is smelling bad in the bathroom, that is not normal and we will come and fix it.

We are located on 22 acres near Hot Springs National Park. The property ranges from our beautiful, clear creek to the wooded hilltop. Guests are able to roam the property, the barnyard, picnic and relax anywhere on the property except our front yard. Two picnic areas are located along the creek. One is near the driveway and the other is more secluded and accessible by walking a short trail.
Other things to note
The property is on a dirt road and there is a one lane bridge to cross. We live onsite and travel it everyday in a minivan.
WiFi is available inside and next to the apartment. It's adequate for streaming but may go out during a storm. Cell service can be limited in the area depending on your service provider.

The property has history - you can see remnants of the Lynch in-ground waterslide locals enjoyed in the 70s winding down our ridge. The Baker Lodge was built on the slide entrance, with our sleeping cabins overlooking both the trees down the ridge and the slide. The house on property was once a restaurant and was converted to a duplex to host travelers to the Buffalo River years ago.
Our acreage adjoins the Buffalo National River Park boundaries and you can explore around the ridge. Buffalo Point is literally at the end of our street. You can hike an amazing trail called Indian Rockhouse - it's interesting and fun every season. The balcony overlooking the barn yard has an outdoor dining table, grill and smokeless fire pit. The apartment has free WiFi and smart TVs in both the bedroom and living room.
Guest access
We are located on 22 acres near Hot Springs National Park. The property ranges from our beautiful, clear creek to the wooded hilltop. Guests are able to roam the property, the barnyard, picnic and relax anywhere on the property except our front yard. Two picnic areas are located along the creek. One is near the driveway and the other is more secluded and accessible by walking a short trail.
Other things to note
The property is on a dirt road and there is a one lane bridge to cross. We live onsite and travel it everyday in a minivan.
WiFi is available inside and next to the apartment. It's adequate for streaming but may go out during a storm. Cell service can be limited in the area depending on your service provider.

The location and asthetics were amazing! We loved how clean the place was but also how organized! It was cozy and modern. The hot tub was ready and clean. The windows finally the bubbles and cabinets were positions so that they couldn't face each other or see inside each other. It was a smart way to keep it private. Also, the hosts were very quick to respond with any request and helps us quickly resolve a booking snafu caused by us. I would definitely recommend this place!

We had such a great experience at the Rt. 62 campground. We stayed in the Bungalow cabin with our dogs. The grounds were lovely with a lot of different activities. The jacuzzi tub was a fun addition. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay there again!

We were in AWE!!! Literally such a gorgeous place and the yurt was so cute and fun! Loved the hot tub- loved everything! Only small things to comment on was the WiFi connection was spotty but maybe that was our phone? Also the trailheads/ trails were kinda tricky to find so maybe better sign/ more defined trail? We will 100000% be back!

We had the best time staying at Mike’s place! Location is very close to downtown Hot Springs. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed meeting the goats, pigs, chickens, and other animals around the farm. My son got to milk a goat and we enjoyed some fresh goat milk with breakfast! The hot tub was a nice touch as well. Highly recommend this experience!

It’s close enough to town that you can go and do all the other things Heber has to offer but secluded enough for you to unplug and enjoy the silence and solitude as well. This was a relaxing and luxurious getaway. We loved the big yurt, it had many accommodations beyond what we expected, WiFi, oven, full size laundry and hot shower. It’s private and quiet at night, you might hear an owl singing. We enjoyed a relaxing morning, made a pot of coffee, watched the sun rise over the Ozark mountains and relaxed in the hot tub. Even saw a small herd of female deer meandering through the field. This yurt had everything we could need and more, (central heat and AC!) Be sure to take a stroll and enjoy the property and beautiful standing stones. We’re already hoping to return to the tranquility of stone wind. Thank you a wonderful evening and welcoming us to enjoy this land with you.

My Fiancé and I adored the shack! The scenery was absolutely beautiful. You could hear and see the river from the bedroom and porch! Northwestern Arkansas
Northwest Arkansas is one of the fastest-growing regions of the state, offering a mix of cute towns and Ozark adventure. The largest state park in Arkansas, the Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area, is here, offering 54 miles of trails and campsites only reachable by mountain bike. Southwest Arkansas is characterized by lakes, wooded forests, and plenty of opportunities to get out and rockhound. Central Arkansas
Central Arkansas is home to the state capital and biggest city, Little Rock. Highlights include the Parkin Archaeological State Park, which preserves 17 acres of what was once a Native American village, and the Hampson Archeological Museum State Park, where you can check out archaeological artifacts from the area.
Southeastern Arkansas
Southeastern Arkansas' Lower Delta Region offers a mix of historic Civil War sites, scenic lakes, and opportunities for bird- and wildlife-watching.
