The deep shade of the campsite with the breeze coming over river keeps the space surprisingly cool even in extreme heat. Feeling fun? Camp in the old dirt mine with 10’ walls around you shaded by a massive pine growing in the center and oaks around the perimeter. Hiking trails have been cut for you to enjoy the property. Make sure to check out “Mini Hawksbill Crag”- a rocky outcropping hanging off the cliff side. Another fun trail leads you up a creek bed with multiple small waterfalls. A truck can be driven to riverside campsite when dry or there is a 100 yard walk from a small parking area. More vehicles can be parked on top of hill which is 5 minute walk. There is a picnic table and fire pit at the riverside campsite. Bald Eagles are seen most days in the winter. Birders will also appreciate the feeder in the campsite. Fishing poles are available as an add on. You can bring your own too! Catch small mouth, large mouth, bream, crappie, catfish, gar, and carp/buffalo, but you’re competing with the neighborhood beaver so be on the lookout for him! Please release small mouth besides a legal keeper is 14" (6-7 year old fish!) and limit of 2. We have 40 acres of woods, tiny waterfalls, hiking, stargazing, bird watching, and sunset watching for the campers who like primitive camping. Enjoy the best of both worlds with a quiet, natural area to camp in, and destinations to see close by. Private area with sun, and plenty of shade. Blackberry's are available to pick in late June or early July. There are three logging trails that you can bush wack your way through just behind the campground. There are cliffs, and plenty of scenery to enjoy. We are a short drive away from Eureka Springs, Turpentine Creek(big cat sanctuary), War Eagle Cavern, and War Eagle Mill. Hobbs State National Park is close by off Scenic Highway 12, with biking, and walking trails galore! We are also close to many of the NW Arkansas mountain biking trails in the area! Access to Beaver Lake is a short drive or a long hike down the scenic rock roads. Due to the remote, and private location, we want to remind everyone that consuming alcohol under the age of 21 will not be tolerated. Safety is very important to us. This land is a six acre slice of property that includes a meadow, wooded areas, a small pine forest, native stones galore, a steep mountain side, giant boulders, a wet weather stream and pond, and 2 old tin barns. From West to East, the property starts flat but then begins to slope upward as it runs from the base of Fitzgerald Mountain Eastward nearly to the top of the mountain. The former homestead was removed within the past 20 years, creating a fantastic spot for the campground. It is located a short distance from Fitzgerald Station, which was a well known stop on Military road (later known as Butterfield stage line) in the 1830’s. The camp is only 2 miles from historic downtown Springdale, which is an area undergoing exciting revitalization. A concrete trail is planned that will connect the camp area to downtown making biking to restaurants and pubs much easier in the near future. The Razorback Greenway runs through downtown, and provides a biking connection to all of Northwest Arknsas.Learn more about this land:Fitzgerald Mountain Van and RV Camp offers 2 RV spots (26' max) with ride in / ride out access to Fitzgerald Mountain's world class trails.  The mountain is home to OZ trails mountain biking and hiking for all levels. (look up OZ trails  - Fitzgerald Mountain)The 2 van camper/RV spots sit at the base of a shade tree and the entry to the “Goat Trail.”  This trail (named for the adjacent goat farm) will lead campers to the campfire area, "Fitzmo Barn", and Butterfield trail.  Fitzmo barn has a map where you can leave your mark by putting a pin in your hometown and signing the wall.  Leave your brand's sticker on the wall so other bikers and hikers can find their way to your hometown spots. The barn has chairs for the fire pit area, and can also provide some shelter if it rains.Butterfield trail crosses the camp area adjacent to Fitzmo Barn.   Head North on Butterfield to connect with blue and black trails including the “best trail ever” and fantastic views from the mountain top.  Head South to connect with trails for all skill levels including a strider course for the kids at Bayyari Park.  Bayyari Park is only 1/3 mile away and has public restrooms that I'm told "remain open until 10:00 PM year round unless there is extreme cold."The only neighbors of the camp have a small farm to the North, and their goats and peacock occasionally visit the camp’s Western field.  Other than these neighbors, the area feels secluded, especially at the fire pit and barn area. Fitzgerald is a historical area.  Fitzgerald station is nearby, and served as a stop on the Butterfield overland stagecoach mail route that was used in the 1800s. Downtown Springdale is 2 miles away, and the pubs and restaurants cater to bikers.  A paved trail is planned for the near future that will provide bike access to downtown.*Note* Backing up to a turn around area will be required for exit from the RV spots.

We have 40 acres of woods, tiny waterfalls, hiking, stargazing, bird watching, and sunset watching for the campers who like primitive camping. This land is a six acre slice of property that includes a meadow, wooded areas, a small pine forest, native stones galore, a steep mountain side, giant boulders, a wet weather stream and pond, and 2 old tin barns. From West to East, the property starts flat but then begins to slope upward as it runs from the base of Fitzgerald Mountain Eastward nearly to the top of the mountain. The former homestead was removed within the past 20 years, creating a fantastic spot for the campground. It is located a short distance from Fitzgerald Station, which was a well known stop on Military road (later known as Butterfield stage line) in the 1830’s. The camp is only 2 miles from historic downtown Springdale, which is an area undergoing exciting revitalization. A concrete trail is planned that will connect the camp area to downtown making biking to restaurants and pubs much easier in the near future. The Razorback Greenway runs through downtown, and provides a biking connection to all of Northwest Arknsas.Learn more about this land:Fitzgerald Mountain Van and RV Camp offers 2 RV spots (26' max) with ride in / ride out access to Fitzgerald Mountain's world class trails.  The mountain is home to OZ trails mountain biking and hiking for all levels. (look up OZ trails  - Fitzgerald Mountain)The 2 van camper/RV spots sit at the base of a shade tree and the entry to the “Goat Trail.”  This trail (named for the adjacent goat farm) will lead campers to the campfire area, "Fitzmo Barn", and Butterfield trail.  Fitzmo barn has a map where you can leave your mark by putting a pin in your hometown and signing the wall.  Leave your brand's sticker on the wall so other bikers and hikers can find their way to your hometown spots. The barn has chairs for the fire pit area, and can also provide some shelter if it rains.Butterfield trail crosses the camp area adjacent to Fitzmo Barn.   Head North on Butterfield to connect with blue and black trails including the “best trail ever” and fantastic views from the mountain top.  Head South to connect with trails for all skill levels including a strider course for the kids at Bayyari Park.  Bayyari Park is only 1/3 mile away and has public restrooms that I'm told "remain open until 10:00 PM year round unless there is extreme cold."The only neighbors of the camp have a small farm to the North, and their goats and peacock occasionally visit the camp’s Western field.  Other than these neighbors, the area feels secluded, especially at the fire pit and barn area. Fitzgerald is a historical area.  Fitzgerald station is nearby, and served as a stop on the Butterfield overland stagecoach mail route that was used in the 1800s. Downtown Springdale is 2 miles away, and the pubs and restaurants cater to bikers.  A paved trail is planned for the near future that will provide bike access to downtown.*Note* Backing up to a turn around area will be required for exit from the RV spots.

We had an amazing experience at Hipcamp. The property is absolutely beautiful, spread across roughly 60 acres of peaceful land that truly allows you to unplug and reconnect with nature. During our stay, we didn’t see any other campsites, which made the experience feel completely private and incredibly relaxing—exactly what we were hoping for. The setting is quiet, scenic, and thoughtfully arranged, creating a sense of seclusion that’s hard to find. Even though we were only able to stay for one day, it was clear this is a special place meant for slowing down, exploring, and enjoying uninterrupted time outdoors. Everything felt comfortable and intentional, making it easy to settle in and enjoy the surroundings. We would absolutely recommend staying at least two days to fully soak in everything this property has to offer, as one day simply wasn’t enough. This is a wonderful spot for anyone looking for peaceful, private camping, and we would happily return.

We stayed for three nights in early December. The property is on a quiet road, yet under 15 minutes to downtown. Jason and Julie have created a full service setting, complete with toilets, showers, dump station, and water. We stayed at site 8 by the barn, which was perfect for our 27 ft rv, and nearly level. Bentonville enchanted us. As road bikers, we used the Razorback Greenway and biked from Fayatville back toward Bentonville (Fayatville is also a gem). Jason and Julie were very easy to communicate with and incredibly accommodating. They went out of their way to help us with a something that could have been a challenge. They are great hosts. Recommend this location 100%!

Found some trees perfect for a hammock, hiked down the rock trail, made a campfire cake, had camp coffee and enjoyed the scenery. It was my kind of party. Camper was in good shape, smelled and looked clean. Having a flushable toilet, a queen size bed to sleep in, and the option to use the stove were all very convenient (especially with a 4 year old). Great place for the price, I enjoyed the atmosphere and it was peaceful and fun. Host was responsive.
