We obtained our campground from a couple that owned it for 20 years but just weren't able to do to it what they had originally planned.. So it was essentially a blank canvas for us to create!! We are the closest town to the Grand Canyon SKYWALK, which is just 40 minutes from us. Meadview, the town we are located, is the only place to obtain Free Entree to the Lake Mead Recreational Center. Our Campground just 10 miles from Lake Mead and 17 Miles from the Colorado River. We have outstanding Lookouts, Top notch Stargazing, Gold Prospecting, Bird Watching, Fishing, Off Roading etc. Some of the Best Desert Off-Roading through trails within the Joshua Tree National Forest, Please note you must bring your own OHV, horse, etc, there is currently no rentals available. We do have Kayaks to rent upon arrival. There is a hidden water fall in the Grapevine Wash that you can get to with a 4 wheel vehicle and you hike in about 15 minutes in. Stunning views and gorgeous natural spring and waterfall. We are 45 minutes off the 93 Freeway Free WIFI provided at the office!.. The town doesn't always have a powerful signal, please keep that in mind in your travels. However, if you have Verizon, it gets GREAT service! There are three restaurants in town, all just one mile from site... The Boathouse, Anchor Smokehouse and Fishermans Landing Bar. We have a Bakery called Rosemary and Thyme that serves Delicious foods & Pastries and makes great coffees. There is also a Gas n Grub that has ice, propane etc... 5 miles away is a Family Dollar store which we lovingly call the "Mall of Meadview"

Rainy season, is late June through September. Our 3 sights are all level gravel, 50amp, 30amp and 1 non hookup site. Imagine yourself sitting out in the warm evenings looking up at the wonderous, star filled sky. Or watching the sun set over the Hualapai Mountains, or getting up early to catch the sun rising over the Aquarius Mountains. The Hualapai Mountain hiking trails and Lodge (Great food with Mountain views) are within half an hour drive. The City of Kingman is also half an hour away west on hwy 40. Where there are Wineries, Breweries, Museums, Restaurants and ample shopping, including, of course, a Walmart. Other nearby fun places to explore: Follow the famous Mother Road - "Route 66." Where you can: Visit Peach Springs and drive to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, have a picnic by the beach and splash in the Colorado River. Take a picture by the 3 dimensional Route 66 sign. Drive up the 22 mile Sidewinder (191 curves), to the old restored mining town of Oatman, with all kinds of little shops, and a daily gunfight. And be sure to meet the Mayor of Oatman, who is actually one of many locals wandering freely through town, descended from the original Donkeys owned by the miners when they abandoned the town. Yes the mayor is a Donkey, and watch it because he may try to steel your bag if it contains candy or food. Keep driving down old Rte 66 to Topic, have a drink sitting in one of the Butt Chairs at the bar, or outside overlooking the Marina. Next drive 40 minutes to Lake Havasu, where there are many great experiences, including hanging out in a little piece of London with Restaurants, Bars and shops along Lake Havasu (Colorado River), under the actual London Bridge. Which was disassembled stone by stone, numbered, shipped and reassembled. Now bridges the City to the Island. Not too far from here is the Grand Canyon West Entrance. View it's Grandness walking out over the Canyon on the Amazing Glass Skywalk. You can go river rafting, ziplining and explore cultural exhibits depicting ancient village life. Depending on the time of year, hunting may be in season, with Deer and Elk. Remember that hunting is permitted if you have a valid hunting license, on the adjacent mile-wide parcel of State Trust land sprawling out to the west of the property. Roads are accessible most of the year with just about any kind of vehicle - as long as the weather is nice. So be sure the check the weather report or almanac before planning your visit. If the weather is dry, just about any kind of car, truck or trailer can make it down the 10-miles of dirt road to get to the property. If rain is on the calendar, you're going to need 4-wheel-drive and clearance. The dirt roads develop deep mud patches that can mire most cars or trailers. There will also be snow in the wintertime - so plan accordingly for mud, ice, and rough roads. But most of the year is easy as long as it's dry!

Excellent location for exploring Northern Arizona This is a camping area just 5 miles from restaurants, bars, quaint little tourist stores, gas stations and even a hardware store. Located just west of Seligman with road access directly to the property and excellent access to Interstate 40 and Route 66. You can rest and gather your thoughts while enjoying the great outdoors. You can drive right onto the property and set up your RV or your tents. There are no services at this site it is a dry camping area for as many days as you need. During full moon times, the trees and ground are lit up in all directions. Sightings of deer and jackrabbits are common as well as hearing coyotes in the distance. Being open range land, the cattle will wander into sight. Various cacti and desert plants around the campsites. Nearby Route 66 attractions include Ash Fork, Seligman and Williams. Grand Canyon National Park is approx. 1.5 hours away. We are along the longest remaining un-interrupted section of Route 66. We have several improved camp sites to make your stay easier; however, there are plenty of unmarked and unimproved areas within the Hipcamp area for you to stay. Excellent location for exploring Northern Arizona This is a camping area just 5 miles from restaurants, bars, quaint little tourist stores, gas stations and even a hardware store. Located just west of Seligman with road access directly to the property and excellent access to Interstate 40 and Route 66. You can rest and gather your thoughts while enjoying the great outdoors. You can drive right onto the property and set up your RV or your tents. There are no services at this site it is a dry camping area for as many days as you need. Whatever you pack in you must pack out. No garbage waste or pollution whatsoever. The meadow is full of prairie dogs so be careful driving around so you don't drive into a prairie dog hole. No campfires or open flames at all. All campers must have their own waste facility such as their own camping toilet and water source. Absolutely No dumping any waste on the property. There's no electricity on the property so bringing your own generator is a good idea, if you need electricity. Kirk and Deana have a beautiful property that is everything you could dream of! Wish we could have stayed longer, and we even added an extra night (which they were very accommodating about). We arrived late the first night in bad weather, and Kirk stayed in contact with us to make sure we made it safe and even took the trouble to meet us in his vehicle in the dark so we had a guide. The road during the day/in clear weather is rutty as described in their listing, but very doable (we are used to going off pavement). We just happened to come during a down pour. As promised, once you get up the drive the spot to park is leveled out with easy gravel. There is a very nice trail system that is beautiful for a nice morning walk right outside your camper/tent door, about 1/4 mile long and you could choose to explore further. We took their itinerary suggestion of Oatman to see the wild donkeys and it was the highlight of our trip that we would have missed otherwise if not for the suggestion, highly recommend following their itinerary. Would absolutely book again, Kirk and Deana were very warm and kind, and made sure to be available to your needs while also giving you space to enjoy your site and nature.

The field was the perfect backyard oasis we needed. Use of the hot tub was amazing, beautiful landscape with dog areas to use. We stayed in cabin 1 so we could park our van next to the cabin. In walking distance to shopping and restaurants.

I loved camping at Lori’s Field. It was perfect for our needs traveling with a 19’ Sprinter van and also rented #1 cabin, due to my husband getting a bad cold and wanting to allow him to be in his own environment for rest. The cabin had all the necessary facilities including shower, toilet and sink. Along with a microwave, kerig coffee pot and small fridge. Also grateful for the electric hookup for van. Easy directions and close enough to town for all your needs.

This worked out perfectly for our cross country road trip. We arrived late and left early, so we couldn’t enjoy the amenities, but it looked like a fun place. There was a pool and a hot tub. Some cabins and tent areas. Ample parking. Very secure. Requires a gate code for access to the property. Easy to find.
