The well stocked kitchen has all the cookware and utensils you'll need for cooking, a propane range, as well as a cooler for your use (bring ice). A gas barbecue is on site as well. The wood stove kicks out a ton of heat to keep you toasty while you sip on steamy hot chocolate that is provided for your enjoyment. Gather around the propane operated firepit in the backyard for some R&R. Bring a hammock 'cuz there are unlimited opportunities for stringing one up! Tons of activities will keep you occupied, including hiking and biking on the nearby Arizona Trail (just 1/2 mile away), or even sledding on your very own private 2 acre piece of paradise! What's even better is the property backs onto the National Forest, for unlimited enjoyment of nature. In the evening crack open a book, or start playing a game with your besties to close out a long day. The property is completely off the grid, making it very appealing to those travelers and adventurers who want to create a minimal carbon footprint on their vacation. The kitchen sink has a hand pump that draws water from under the sink from a 10 gallon water jug. You can refill the jug as needed from a hand pump located in the back yard. There is solar powered lighting and a USB phone charger station. There is no electrical power available. Cell service is available in the area depending on your carrier. The outdoor composting toilet is super clean with little or no odor. The cabin is located at 8200' in the San Francisco Peaks in the pines and aspens. Snowshoe or cross country ski, go sledding or snowmobiling, or just good old fashioned relaxation will make the time fly by. If you get stuck on the road it will be your own responsibility. Please check with the owner a couple days prior to your visit to check on road conditions during the winter! Pets must be well behaved and cleaned up after, including excessive animal hair. Leash laws apply to Coconino National Forest. Richard's property is eclectic and fun to wander. He met Mr a the gate and I was immediately introduced to two wonderful livestock dogs. Once we met, they were my friends and guardians as I wandered the property. Richard is the kindest man and shared lots of stories. The property is full of fun art from past burning man ventures. I think this guy could build anything you could imagine. There are goats, ducks, and a green house where he grows good own vegetables. He and a friend are planning on growling micro greens in a contraption they built. This spot was a lot of fun and the perfect place to spend time and relax. If you are not into being in a chill atmosphere, animals and some duck poop, them stay clear. But if you want to experience a fun piece of property then this is the place. Make sure you get to know Richard and ask for a tour. You won't regret the experience.

Another resident dog, Gryffin, was eager to help us with all of our camp duties, including setting up the tent!

Our time at Richards land was a great experience. The art around the property was really cool to look at, the tent sites were all flat and spaced out well, and we even got to use his fire pit to have a bonfire. There were ducks, a turkey, the friendly yard dog, and even goats so it felt like a little farm experience. The host was very accommodating with everything we needed and I felt comfortable bringing my two children there. As we left, he even showed us around his greenhouse and sent us in our way with peppers, basil, green onion, and carrots. We really enjoyed our one night here.

Spencer was a super nice guy! He allowed us to do a late arrival. Area was very quiet & peaceful! He didn't have septic yet but is in the process of putting it in right now - looks close to done. The 50 amp and water hookups were great and very easy access to site. Woke up to stunning views! Thanks again Spencer, we'll be back!

this is the perfect cabin retreat to escape a busy life and a busy world. I wanted to disconnect from everything and I found the perfect spot.. this cabin is located in a small community and I heard no leaf blowers, ATV noise, or car noise. The only sounds were bird song and the wind blowing through the Aspens. I enjoyed the off grid aspect of this cabin. There were solar lights in the evening and a hand pump at the kitchen sink for water.. I spent most of my time on the front porch, reading books, and watching a little bird build a nest up in the rafters of the porch. The COmmunity is high and cool at 8200 feet elevation.. I was surrounded by majestic Aspen and pines. I highly recommend this cabin retreat if you want to escape the world and get back to nature. No asphalt and no noise made it perfect for me.. The host was very responsive and we had no issues.

The Glamper Cabin is so cozy and well appointed. It was the perfect escape from the Texas heat. We spent most of our time on the porch watching birds, playing cards and just soaking up the quite mountain air. We got just enough service to play music but were able to stay pretty shielded from the rest of the world. Very tranquil stay.

Very interesting place to camp! It’s on a farm with lots of animals and art. We got to feed the goats! The host was cool and sat and talked with us for a bit and even offered some duck eggs for breakfast. The site itself was very chill and pretty private. It’s down next to the river so it was a good 5-10 degrees cooler and it was all very shaded. We had some trees to set up hammocks. Bring bug spray! I would definitely recommend this spot!

I truly enjoyed this trip! I went in went an open mind and it was just as I had hoped for. I loved holding the beautiful animals and seeing the wonderful art Richard and his friends have created. Richard and his friends are such kind people and very talented! I felt so welcome and would highly recommend to those who enjoy a hippie life style with animals! The heat was rough at night but it cooled down around 11 pm and was great. Bring bug spray!!
