Weekend Trip to Valdez Adventure Alliance
Moraine cabin is beautiful! They had recently done trail maintenance which cleared the view of Shoup Glacier. The cabin and outhouse were clean. The heater was not needed in July. I recommend paddling to the cabin so you can then kayak or canoe out to the glacier. We paddled out early one morning and were able to see seals!

Beautiful campsites with amazing views. Very clean and well kept. Nervous that they would not guarantee the site within 7 days with no refund. Not sure why we couldn’t get a refund if it was taken, but we took the chance and it worked out.

Great campground with quiet and private sites. We appreciated that there’s a bench next to the fire pit as well as a picnic table. Site 13 had a great view too! Definitely would recommend

This campground is surrounded by beautiful peaks. We say a couple of bald eagles flying around. While we had no luck fishing, others did catch rainbow trout and grayling. It is located close to Thompson pass and the Worthington Glacier. Only about 20 miles from Valdez which makes for a beautiful drive. The bathrooms were checked on daily. There is water from an old water pump & trash. No hookups

Sweet camp site. Well stocked. Private. I felt quite safe letting my dog roam off leash.
Parking IS tight. Follow Robb’s advice and walk the drive into site to make sure you can get your rig in and out with no fuss.
I loved hearing the river off in the distance and all the birds singing. As I said a sweet campsite.

Weekend Trip to Valdez Adventure Alliance
We decided to beach the boat and settle in for a bonfire during low tide. We saw a sea dragon, talked with an otter for a few minutes, watched a tree just stand up and walk into the forest, a small pale child sat at the fire with us for almost an hour, and then a woman (probably his mom) swam by really, really fast. 100/100 recommend.

Amazing campsite! Beautiful mountain views, a nice firepit with some logs to sit on, and a picnic bench! Also, NICEST outhouse I’ve ever seen!! So clean, great cross-ventilation (= NO smell!!), and a great view of the trees! There is some road noise but the nearby river and birds make it hardly noticeable.
