The city of Columbus is about 25 minutes away and offers white water rafting, zip lining, axe throwing, a river-walk, and other activities. There are plenty of lakes and rivers to go fishing. Auburn is about 40 mins away. The site offers an outhouse, fire pit, fire pit grill rack for cooking, platform (which can be used for small/medium tents, or to hold a table and chairs) and a hiking trail that is about 1/3 of a mile. Small cars are able to access campsite and park at site pretty easily. The property also has natural wildlife like coyotes, snakes, spiders, ants, etc.. Alabama can also get very hot during June, July, August. Please prepare accordingly. Meeting at the front of the property is not needed, just drive to your hipcamp and set up 🙂 Please message me about any concerns! About us: My wife and I bought this property in 2020 with the goal of turning this land into a homestead. We plan on building a home eventually and have cleared out our homesite. My mom and stepfather live at the front of the property and can help you if needed. My stepfather is retired and my mother works as a nurse assistant in town. We are a working aquaponics farm, located in Marion Co Georgia. From maps it shows that we are about 13 miles straight line distance from Columbus Georgia. That would be true if you could drive through Fort Moore. You cannot so we are actually about 35 mins or 23 miles from Columbus. The drive is pleasant with very little traffic. Our campsite sits beyond the gate in front of our small farm/general store. There are rustic bathrooms with hot water, free WiFi and plenty to do! We encourage you to hike, bike, and explore. ** We are in rattlesnake and copperhead season. (SEP - OCT) Please be mindful hiking on warms days and evenings towards dusk. ** The store is not open at this time, and the Greenhouse is available by request. Deer, coyotes, wild hogs, and other creatures roam freely. Any pets must stay fully leashed at all times (see below). Our day starts early in the summer as we harvest for market. We make every effort to be very quiet, but the field crops are close to your camp site. We will never run a tractor until after 11am. You may hear the greenhouse fans kick on starting around 9am when the system starts warming up. Pets - Are welcome if contained on a leash at all times. Bathrooms - are located next to the store and a short walk from your tent site. Site - Is on level ground for tents campers RV vans and more. There is a fire pit, picnic table and water spigot. The water is not well water and comes from the county main water line. There is a main highway leading up to our gate so you do not have to off road to get to the property.

The driveway clearing large enough for a car plus camper or RV. I don't have dimensions, but use the pictures of my Jeep for reference. For now, you must decide if your rig will fit. The driveway ground is hard, but there isn't any gravel on the drive yet, so be mindful of parking during rain or soggy conditions. There is a fire ring and a few chairs to enjoy socializing or plenty of trees to hang a hammock and relax. It is 20.54 acres peacefully located between big land owners on each side, and a creek that runs through the middle that separates north from south pieces. Our trails are groomed and some just deer worn. We have one camp site that is rural and rustic. There is a bucket for the restroom and antique, old white kitchen sink for hand washing just outside it. There is no running water yet, but working on getting a water reservoir out there asap. No electricity yet a single power cord could be run for extra $10.00 for your visit. There is a fire pit close to the tent spot on, “Skip’s Campsite”. Another camp site” Aqua-Fine-A” that has a walk in creek access, and you have to cross the creek to get to that one. It is farther away from “Skip’s bathroom access. It has a more established flag stone fire pit. It is our original primitive sight. There is no water reservoir or possibility of electricity at “Aqua-Fine-A” campsite. Everything must be packed in and out on foot. Both sights require a hike to campsites on foot with uneven rooted trails. {You are welcome to use our well loved red wheelbarrow to haul items in}. There is access to a bigger fire pit “M & M fire pit”, and a propane grill option (this is first come first serve/sharing spot). More campsites developing over time and there is a massage practitioner on site if you are looking for the whole experience (29 years experience in healing modalities and shamanic blood line). If you are looking to experience nature cabin style then, “The Minor Escape” is for you. This has a full refrigerator, full stand up filtered water shower, kitchen sink, separate master, two bedroom lofts with ladder access, kitchen sink, ceiling fans, window a/c units for summer and space heaters for winter (Eden pure heater that shows fireplace flames). Our family loves this land and there is always new areas being cultivated in various spots. You will see us out there either with our hobby farm of animals, gardening or building a new area. I am a teacher, guide, artist, and healer. This land is sacred and magical. It is used to heal, restore, inspire and rejuvenate many locally and internationally.

It is 20.54 acres peacefully located between big land owners on each side, and a creek that runs through the middle that separates north from south pieces. Our trails are groomed and some just deer worn. We have one camp site that is rural and rustic. There is a bucket for the restroom and antique, old white kitchen sink for hand washing just outside it. There is no running water yet, but working on getting a water reservoir out there asap. No electricity yet a single power cord could be run for extra $10.00 for your visit. There is a fire pit close to the tent spot on, “Skip’s Campsite”. Another camp site” Aqua-Fine-A” that has a walk in creek access, and you have to cross the creek to get to that one. It is farther away from “Skip’s bathroom access. It has a more established flag stone fire pit. It is our original primitive sight. There is no water reservoir or possibility of electricity at “Aqua-Fine-A” campsite. Everything must be packed in and out on foot. Both sights require a hike to campsites on foot with uneven rooted trails. {You are welcome to use our well loved red wheelbarrow to haul items in}. There is access to a bigger fire pit “M & M fire pit”, and a propane grill option (this is first come first serve/sharing spot). More campsites developing over time and there is a massage practitioner on site if you are looking for the whole experience (29 years experience in healing modalities and shamanic blood line). If you are looking to experience nature cabin style then, “The Minor Escape” is for you. This has a full refrigerator, full stand up filtered water shower, kitchen sink, separate master, two bedroom lofts with ladder access, kitchen sink, ceiling fans, window a/c units for summer and space heaters for winter (Eden pure heater that shows fireplace flames). Our family loves this land and there is always new areas being cultivated in various spots. You will see us out there either with our hobby farm of animals, gardening or building a new area. My husband and I stayed Thanksgiving weekend. Very friendly & responsive hosts. Ample space at our site. We had a problem with our slide upon arrival; James took a look but was unable to help but did give suggestions of someone who could. Bath houses were clean!!! Site had its own grill, table, fire pit. Farm animals were very friendly. My only negative was the hot water pressure was not good so I couldn’t take advantage of the showers But everything else was super nice!!

We had an amazing time. It was supposed to be a quick overnight stop. We got in late, 10pm. We had little mix up with the site. James & Lisa came right out. Took great care of us and even helped us get hooked up. The next morning came over to check on us too. Amazing hosts. Very attentive and kind. Then the location.. in the daylight is amazing. We all had fun taking the golf cart to see the animals and through the trails. The amenities were clean and lots of hot water. The property is beautiful and fun. Will definitely stay here again. The kids are already asking to go back on our way home.

Fantastic little campground with extremely helpful hosts. Here’s what I liked about it. There was lighting, but not too much. Sites were roomy with a small fire pit, picnic tables, and a charcoal grill. The individual bathrooms were clean, warm and convenient. A hot shower was great to get after a long day on the road. It was quiet with a few outdoor country sounds, like owls, a dog in the distance and a rooster at sunup. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

My husband and I had the best time celebrating the long holiday weekend at hideaway cove. We were able to bring our senior dog and were so impressed with the layout and everything that was provided.
