The city of Columbus is about 25 minutes away and offers white water rafting, zip lining, axe throwing, a river-walk, and other activities. There are plenty of lakes and rivers to go fishing. Auburn is about 40 mins away. The site offers an outhouse, fire pit, fire pit grill rack for cooking, platform (which can be used for small/medium tents, or to hold a table and chairs) and a hiking trail that is about 1/3 of a mile. Small cars are able to access campsite and park at site pretty easily. The property also has natural wildlife like coyotes, snakes, spiders, ants, etc.. Alabama can also get very hot during June, July, August. Please prepare accordingly. Meeting at the front of the property is not needed, just drive to your hipcamp and set up 🙂 Please message me about any concerns! About us: My wife and I bought this property in 2020 with the goal of turning this land into a homestead. We plan on building a home eventually and have cleared out our homesite. My mom and stepfather live at the front of the property and can help you if needed. My stepfather is retired and my mother works as a nurse assistant in town. It’s a nice country experience, I believe you will enjoy!

The camping areas are very private. It’s part of a 50 acre lot that has recently been cleared and in the process of reseeding and preparing for a pond and farm life. So, sorry if you run in to anything that isn’t picturesque but your camp site will be beautiful and peaceful. AMENITIES: We want your stay to be as comfortable as possible! There are five loop trials available, ranging from 1 miles to 11.2 miles. You can hike or bike them. The bridge is 290 feet long and goes over Lake Jordan. Wind Creek Casino Wetumpka is 10 miles and Montgomery location is only 16 miles from our property, if you want to chance your luck with some gaming. We are 20 miles from Montgomery, which is jam packed with civil rights historical sites, museums, a zoo, fabulous restaurants, a riverboat cruise on the Alabama River, a sip and cycle pedal boat cruise

Description: The property is 75 feet wide and stretches 210 feet back from the road. Shaded with trees, flat, plenty of room for pitching a tent. The driveway clearing large enough for a car plus camper or RV. I don't have dimensions, but use the pictures of my Jeep for reference. For now, you must decide if your rig will fit. The driveway ground is hard, but there isn't any gravel on the drive yet, so be mindful of parking during rain or soggy conditions. There is a fire ring and a few chairs to enjoy socializing or plenty of trees to hang a hammock and relax. Basically a quiet place to relax, in an undeveloped neighborhood, and pretend you are in a backcountry tent site, 6 minutes from Dollar General :) War Eagle!

The host, Sam, was super accommodating and even drove out to us to guide us to camp when we got there later on our arrival! This location is perfectly center between Opelika and Columbus, so we enjoyed visiting both.

Weekend Trip to hideaway cove

My husband and I had the best time celebrating the long holiday weekend at hideaway cove. We were able to bring our senior dog and were so impressed with the layout and everything that was provided. We slept comfortably even in chillier weather, and made sure to take advantage of the canoe. The lake was gorgeous and we fell in love with the area. I definitely recommend!

This place is very peaceful and quiet. There is not much light, so the stars are stunning. There is an outdoor shower and bathroom with hot water. The road to get there is all grass but smooth if you go slow. We only stayed for one night. They do allow pets off leash which is nice!

Weekend Trip to Gullatte Acres

It was absolutely perfect, from start to finish. Well, the finish sucked because we had to leave. We pitched our tent next to the pond, had a shaded seating area next to our fire pit. Bathroom and shower were a short walk. Fishing was peaceful and the jon boat was super fun to go out on and fish. Super quiet. Plenty of firewood, FREE. Early check in and late check out was lovely. We didnt feel rushed at all. If you forget anything (like leaving your day 1 dinner in your refrigerator at home), there is a small grocery store as well as a dollar general within 5 minutes. All around an awesome camp site! I want to go back, SOON! thank you for sharing your piece of tranquility with us!

We have visited this site before and it was clean , well stocked , and the host was very responsive. Sometime you find something very special and in my opinion , this is special. Lots of time and effort has got into this site. The grasss is always cut, there is a trash can at your finger tips, a outhouse that has bug spray, stink spray , toilet paper and other items. The trail to walk your dog around is well kept and inviting to walk. The host takes pride in his site and truly wants to see folks happy at his place, they even left us a nice campfire treat.

Weekend Trip to Pine And Oak Campsite

My wife and I love the outdoors, but we love the feeling of being isolated, and for the most part Williams land feels just like that, we have no kids so I can not say if kids would like it but we do... the directions were fine and being near a family dollar and dollar general within 15 miles makes it 👌 to forget something and run up and get it. Love the lights at night, William did a very nice job on the site.

Weekend Trip to Camp in Camp Hill!

My wife and I were returning from a long trip to west Texas and stopped for a good rest at Emily's land- absolutely beautiful, peaceful spot with lots of solitude. Basically simply a large field with trees and a pond- perfect for us. Emily was delightful providing prompt and easy directions. Would love to come back again and spend some more time rather than just pass through!

There is a water spickot in the ground and additional spickots at each corner of the shop.

This place was a cozy spot in the woods. Camping site was very clean, level, safe, quiet and private. The little loop to walk our pup in the woods was so enjoyable for the pup and the wifey and me. Would stay again!!
