We are a small Homestead in Parrish, Alabama. We have lots of silkie and large chickens as well as 8 nigerian dawrf goats and two adorable mini cows. All of the animals are friendly and enjoy being pet. We have a large fire pit in the back property for campfires and fun as well as a composting outhouse for guest use. Come pet the animals and have a nice campfire while looking up at the stars!

This area was called Boot's Bottoms growing up and the name stuck. There is a rock wall close to the campsite that was a old grist mill site. Plenty of wildlife, bird watching, wildflowers and creek walking. Some old ATV trails for hiking as well. Very remote and quite! Learn more about this land: Setup camp on the banks of Dorsey creek in Bug Tussle. Wooded area with shade in the warm season. Flat ground for tents or plenty of trees for hammocks. Easy access for vehicles directly to the campsite. Fire ring with grill grates present for cowboy cooking. Peaceful with plenty of opportunity to see wildlife. Primitive toilet present. Rock dam in creek is great to entertain kids, old grist mill site couple hundred yards downstream. Logging and ATV present for hiking and wildlife viewing. Deeper sections in creek present for cooling off in warm weather.

We have a total of 8 RV spots with 30 and 50 amp hooks ups, septic, water, trash and wifi. 1 spot is currently reserved for short-term guests. All lots face a small wood and get afternoon shade. The Dry Bones Live (Ezekiel 37). The first visit in 2019 to this 21 acres was both a shock and a confirmation. It had everything on our check list and more - nearly flat land, convenient location, but also twice the acreage, a roadbed, diversity, Monarch butterflies everywhere, access to a big lake.....and it was littered with logs!! They were in piles and scattered everywhere. But this particular land was being placed in my hands to steward and to reveal the creativity and loving nature of Yahweh. And that meant not bulldozing or burning the logs. Instead, the task was to breathe life into the logs and the land through gentle stewardship to protect the biodiversity and build good soil. Breath of Life Farm is being regeneratively developed to cultivate elderberries, vineyards, peaches, mushrooms, and small plantations of trees for wood or nuts. My sister, Pam, and I hope that visitors will come to enjoy the seasonal changes of flower colors, watch for foot and hoof prints of wildlife, enjoy the songs of the birds and the frogs, see how many different native mushroom species they can spot, and be marveled by the stars as they sparkle in the dark night sky. Weekend Trip to Bug Tussle Creek Bend

I really enjoyed this campsite. The drive in was very straightforward (especially if you watch the YouTube video). The creek was low since we haven't had any rain lately. It was extremely private- some occasional far off car noise and dogs barking but otherwise a wonderful spot in the woods. Plenty of room for multiple tents or vehicles. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Great spot with full hookups. As a solo female traveling with dogs I felt safe. Well located, Walmart is close by and Birmingham is about 25 miles away. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Great communication from both of them. Would definitely stay again if back in the area.

One of the best campsites my husband and I have stayed at for sure! Absolutely beautiful and private, and we’d defiantly stay there again. We did get flooded out though so if you are staying during the rainy season I’d keep an eye on the creek but other than that it was the perfect site.

Super fun spot to camp, extremely private & tucked away. Be mindful of your tent placement if rain is in the forecast as half the campsite floods 2-3” of water (found out the hard way!) haha! Makes for a better story later on. The creek is amazing & the drive down into the site is so fun.

Tent camping at Crystal’s beautiful little farm was just right for me as a woman traveling alone. The camping area was very private and at the back of the property but felt safe and secure because Crystal and her charming husband live at the front of the property and anyone coming in has to pass right close to their house. Mr Crystal patiently guided me to a trail for hiking behind the property and I had a short hike through some stunningly beautiful woods and meadows before sundown. Sunset was gorgeous. I could see it through the trees from my tent. Kids will definitely enjoy the friendly and adorable animals.

Sunset Hill Farm was great - exactly as advertised! The hosts were very nice, informative, and accommodating. All the animals were interactive and the field provided for camping is large, set back away from the main house/off the road, and has a huge fire pit. 10/10 would definitely camp there again/recommend others camp there!
