Weekend Trip to Rock Creek Retreat & Ventures
To say my fiancé and I really enjoyed ourselves, is an understatement!! We kayak and do remote primitive camping on the side of rivers 1-2 every summer. This was a genuine relaxing vacation compared to those trips. We showed up on a Friday and immediately explored the water while we let the air run in our dome to cool it down a little. Some parts of the creek are knee deep but for the most part it’s pretty shallow. Which was perfect for us! We did experience thunderstorms, but it was actually very soothing!! Hated we couldn’t do a fire the first night but made the most of it with sandwiches and snacks! The next day we spent all day down in the creek. We took our chairs that came with the dome and placed them in the deepest part of the creek. That was SO relaxing! We loved it! Sat for hours! When we got hungry we made a fire and cooked some hotdogs! The table and chairs inside the dome were great to eat at and cool down with the fan in front of us before going back down to the water. We used the griddle for dinner to cook our bacon and burgers, while we used the attached rack in the fire pit to cook our canned baked beans and potatoes! We ate great!! The bed was very comfortable for us, we aren’t that picky since we usually are on the ground. The power bank was a great plus and came in handy when we were stuck inside from the rain. We talked the whole night about coming back with friends and family! We really really enjoyed ourselves and will be back! Thank you, Kara!

Our dome was great! My daughter and dog both loved the little hiking trail near the creek, and the setting was perfect. The view from our dome was beautiful, and we’re looking forward to visiting again in warmer weather to enjoy some creek play. This camping experience was unlike any other! Kara and her team have done such a beautiful job creating a space that exudes tranquility and ease. The dome itself is amazing, truly set up with everything you need - bed, tables, power bank (more than ample, we charged things the whole 2.5 day trip and only use 50%), games, blackstone (CLUTCH - grill tools provided, just bring food), lamp, drip coffee maker (not k cup), climate control options (ac fan, top exhaust fan, heater, we were very comfortable in the 40°-70° temp ranges). And don’t even get me started on how wonderful the hot shower is! Toilet is easy to use, nice privacy, and there’s a hand sink!! Our site had a wonderful view of the creek, which we did venture down to in the afternoon - lots of rocks, bring solid water shoes! The space is lit up nicely at night time with the solar lights. The only “downside” if there is one is the hill we had to traverse to unload and load the car, but with some ingenuity and leg power, not too bad. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hidden gem, and suspect Kara will be fully booked up in no time! Get it if you can 👍👍

What a magical vacation! If you’re looking for a truly unique glamping experience this is the place! The geodome was so clean and tidy. It had everything we needed plus a nice hot shower.

Excellent time at Serenity Escape Treehouse. We had time to hike the landscape at the treehouse, Little River Canyon, and Desoto State Park. We enjoyed time making smores, eating at The Hatter, and checking out the waterfalls and surrounding areas. The stay at the Treehouse was perfect. More than enough room for the (4) of us. The host had everything we needed and more. Super convenient to both parks we wanted to hike. You hear the roosters all hours of the day but we enjoyed it. If we’re ever in Northern Alabama again, we’d come back.

We absolutely loved staying at Misti's camper! Everything one could possibly need was provided, and she added some thoughtful touches like locally made goat milk soap, local coffee, and two gift certificates to a great restaurant nearby. She was always responsive and eager to make our stay the best.
The camper is located in a great location. It feels very secluded, but we were not far from all of the great parks and recreation as well as a few general stores and restaurants. It is only about 1 1/2 miles to Little River Canyon National Preserve and less than 5 miles to Desoto State Park.
It was a beautiful, serene location, and although there was wifi and a tv, we never turned it on. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and spending quality time together as a family. I would highly recommend this rental!
