My husband and I had the best time celebrating the long holiday weekend at hideaway cove. We were able to bring our senior dog and were so impressed with the layout and everything that was provided. We slept comfortably even in chillier weather, and made sure to take advantage of the canoe. The lake was gorgeous and we fell in love with the area. I definitely recommend!

Weekend Trip to Kick Back Ranch and Event Center

We had a two week trip planned in our campervan, with a multiple day stop in the Montgomery area at the midpoint of our trip and so decided to book three nights in Wagon Wheel Suite III of the Kickback Ranch in Ramer. We’re SO glad we stayed at this peaceful spot! We were the only ones staying in the cottage/cabin area, so we seemed to have this beautiful part of the property to ourselves. The suite is a stand-alone building with a kitchenette (full stove, fridge and sink), full bath and sleeping/living open space that included a queen and bunk beds. There is a very nice balcony off the back of the suite, which overlooks one of the ponds on the property. The suite accommodations were very comfortable, the ranch staff super friendly and we found it so convenient to be able to do our laundry two buildings away from our suite. During our April stay the grounds were peaceful and relaxing, while also including a spacious dog area for exercising our pooches! On the last day of our stay we brought our van to the RV area to dump our grey water and fill our water tank. The RV area is clean, level and the gravel surface is well kept. It seemed to be quite a lively and popular place for many to stay. We highly recommend the Kickback Ranch, less than half an hour from many of the sites in Montgomery!

Weekend Trip to Star Point Reserve

Very secluded sites with no close neighbors, so it is just you and nature. Absolutely incredible and Maximo, the camp host, was great! Extremely accommodating and communicative. I loved everything about camping here and am already making plans for a return trip.
