Fort Stevens State Park Campground

Fort Stevens State Park offers a large and varied camping experience on Oregon's north coast, with over 500 campsites including full-hookup, standard, tent, primitive, and ADA-standard sites. The park is set amidst coastal forest and dunes, providing an excellent base for exploring the historic remains of Fort Stevens, Peter Iredale shipwreck, and the region's expansive sandy beaches. Its diverse range of amenities includes on-site groceries and ice, showers, and pull-through sites, making it appealing for families, groups, and solo adventurers.

In addition to traditional camping, there are also yurts, cabins, and group shelters available. The campground is popular year-round, but especially in summer and on weekends, when reservations are recommended. Permits are required for parking, and campers should check in at the ranger station on arrival. Occasional area closures may occur due to construction or habitat protections, such as beach access restrictions during Snowy Plover nesting season.
