Two porta-potties are on the farm and private porta-potties are available for rent. Groups of eight or more are required to rent a porta potty should you not bring your own toilet system with you. Welcome to our little slice of creekside heaven! Four years ago, we took a run-down manufactured home park and started turning it into something special — a peaceful, down-to-earth spot for campers to relax, explore, and feel right at home. It's been a total labor of love, and now we’re excited to share it with folks who appreciate the beauty of nature, good company, and a few chickens wandering by. At night, things slow down — our campground is quiet, peaceful, and perfect for stargazing. We’ve got: 3 creekside RV sites with water + electric hookups 1 creekside RV site with full hookups (water, electric, and septic) 4 first-come, first-served creekside tent spots A 38' luxury RV available to rent for a comfy glamping stay All sites are right along Conleys Creek, which is stocked with trout and perfect for fishing or cooling off in the summer. Every spot includes a picnic table and fire pit — and tent sites come with a fire pit that includes a cooking grate for easy campfire meals. Our land is totally pesticide-free and full of life — from colorful flower gardens to veggies, herbs, fruit trees, and our famous 14 free-range chickens (a.k.a. The Dixie Chicks). Guests love feeding them, petting them, and collecting fresh eggs. You’ll also find: A clean, private bathhouse A game room with ping pong + darts Outdoor yard games Fast, reliable Wi-Fi Firewood, eggs, and ice for sale A dump station for RVs We’re in a super convenient spot — nestled between Bryson City and Cherokee, just a short drive from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Dillsboro, Sylva, and tons of hiking, biking, kayaking, tubing, and whitewater adventures. We’re open year-round, but if you come during leaf peeping season, you’re in for a real treat — the colors are absolutely magical. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome too — we get it, they’re family! This is our home, our lifestyle, and our dream. We’d love to have you come enjoy it with us.

This 5-acre parcel was part of a larger 17-acre tract/cow pasture that was for sale in the spring of 2017. We had moved to this beautiful quiet country road the year before after spending 15 years in the hustle and bustle of West Asheville. When our neighbor put the land up for sale, we jumped at the chance to protect our view (we live across the street) and own another piece of the heaven we have come to call home. This land has a creek running through it, and is in a quiet, rural, residential area that is a mix of newcomers and families who have lived here for generations. The property has a secluded feel to it while being very conveniently located to the wonderful hiking, mountain biking, and trout fishing this area is famous for. We’re also very close to cycle shops, outfitters, groceries, restaurants, etc. We love it here and are excited to develop our plan for this space. We hope you will love it here too.

Twin Falls Wilderness Retreat

24mi from Balsam Lake Lodge · 4 sites · Tents, RVs

Twin Falls Wilderness Retreat is a tranquil outdoor paradise immersed in nature, just a bike ride away from DuPont State Forest and all the waterfalls and trails it has to offer. This magical woodland features a majestic 50-foot double waterfall on the property that we call "Twin Falls." We currently offer four spacious campsites, each with its own fire ring, picnic table, and tent area. There is also a larger communal fire pit, picnic table, and hammock area where campers can relax, connect with each other, and enjoy peekaboo mountain views. We have a beautiful outdoor heated shower available for a small fee per use, along with a clean, regularly serviced portable toilet. We are pet-friendly, and our fur babies, Leia and Bo, love greeting our guests. We also have a small dog pond available for your furry friends. We ask that all dogs remain leashed at all times. Pet owners are responsible for respecting other guests by managing noise and preventing disruptive barking. Dogs must never be left unattended. We also welcome children and have plenty of room for them to explore and play. Please note that we have natural water areas that may be dangerous for children, so we ask that children remain within your line of sight at all times. Our sites are primitive and do not have electricity. We provide natural mountain spring water from two separate spigots. Because we are located in the mountains, the terrain is uneven and includes several hills. We cannot accommodate trailers or towed campers — tent camping and camper vans only. This is a true outdoor mountain experience. We are only ½ mile from the entrance to DuPont State Forest via Crab Creek Road/DuPont Road. We are also: • 5 minutes from Holmes Educational Forest (a favorite for children) • 15 minutes from Pisgah National Forest and Brevard, NC • 25 minutes from Hendersonville • 30 minutes from Asheville, NC We can accommodate small family reunions or spiritual retreats if all campsites are available at the time of booking. We can also host very small weddings, elopements, or proposals near the waterfall. All gatherings must be respectful, quiet, and nature-focused. No loud parties are permitted. Please bring your own tent and camping gear — we’ll provide the picture-perfect nature to help you reconnect, relax, and recharge.

Our creek properties include the Creekside Cabin, and Waterfall Haven (multiple camping site options, with their own areas by the creek). Guests have room to explore the mossy wonderland along Hornbuckle Creek, take a dip in a swimming hole, take an adventure and follow a rough trail (at your own risk) to another waterfall, accessed across the creek, or just kick back and relax. (Note to guests: Trail has not been maintained since last year. Go at your own risk.) Our mountaintop options include Eagle’s Nest and Songbird Campsites. These two sites provide breathtaking, long-range mountain views and epic sunsets. They are great for quick get-aways, with ease of access to main roads/highways. Indigo Eagle Sanctuary Sites are located within a few miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherokee Reservation (museum, shops, dining) and Maggie Valley, a quaint mountain town with more shops, food, and entertainment. Nearest grocery stores are Ingles in Waynesville, or Food Lion in Cherokee. The popular Asheville is about a 50minute drive from our Sanctuary. Plenty to explore here, while being able to unplug and unwind. *Disclaimer The creekside camping involves a road that will require vehicle clearance in order to access campsites. 4wd is not required but adequate vehicle clearance will be necessary as we have received damages from storms.
