Our 120 remote acres are adjacent to Shasta Trinity National Forest in the beautiful Cascade Range between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta in Northern California. It's a working ranch with tree farms, animals, hydroelectric power, sawmill, gardens, orchards, creeks, springs, trails, and our camp alongside Kosk Creek. We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). DO NOT TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THE NORTH, IT IS CLOSED! PIease try to ignore the "car art" in the Pit River Tribe's Rancheria as you're coming here. Drive right through it, it's no reflection on us. The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip! No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

Campground is yours to book but is also surrounded by National Forest Land which belongs to everyone. We expect zero exceptions to the leave no trace standards we have put forward for our private land share. Fall asleep stargazing under a dark sky, surrounded by trees, water and wildlife. Wake up to birds chirping then a 10 min hike to visit the Cold mineral springs bubbling out of the mountainside, attracting many types of wildlife along with people seeking out the healing properties of the sulfur scented spring water. Sacred healing mineral spring "Deadshot" named by the native peoples for its ability to cure all ailments with 'one shot'. Nipisum or 'health water' was later bottled by the California Medicinal Springs Co. after the land was homesteaded in 1886. This historic retreat rests at the foot of lower Chanchelulla 'black rock' Mountain. Bordering a Wilderness Area this land is pristine and wild inhabited by many animals and incredible bio-diversity such as Pileated Woodpeckers, Golden Eagle, Bald Eagle, Blackhawk, Goshawk, Great Horned Owl, Flying Squirrel, Pacific King Snake, Salamanders and Protected Spawning Rainbow Trout. 100+ acres with private hiking trails along the stream for easy trekking, and summit trails (climbing up to almost 6,000 ft.) to the peak. Our aim is to restore the land from the last 100 years of habitation using innovation to renovate the campground and baths for the next 100 years. With your help we hope to revitalize the community of Trinity County, as well as educate and generate support for WILDERNESS, public forest lands and the agencies that manage them.

We have 10 acres at the base of Mount Shasta, adjacent to the Mount Shasta ski Park at 5300 feet in elevation; rough camping, pack in and pack out. No trace is the only way. Please and Thank you for your consideration in advance. McGinnis Springs is a mile walk, as is Nordic center in the opposite direction. This is untouched, unlogged, unmanaged property for almost a century, that we have just begun managing. old growth forest and all sorts of wildlife and a natural spring are present. Please be advised there are bears in the area. Mice and chipmunk will eat into tents for food not secured. This is a wild environment with a high chance for wildlife encounters. We are the place If you are looking for a spot to do quiet camping, no loud music being played. This is a retreat We’re trying to create with a very majestic tone. We have views of the mountain with lots of trails to explore. There is a Buddhist monastery adjacent to McGuinness Springs That is on national Forest land, this is a very precious area. Please be aware that we will have the boundaries of our 10 acres marked and that private property surrounds us on three sides with one side being national forest. we do ask that you stay well on our property or in the national forest to respect and preserve our neighbors land, as our neighbors have no houses or buildings are rarely present if ever. Our intention is to protect their interests and property and avoid any future negative interactions with our neighboring property owners. We look forward to having a great summer. Welcome to Juniper Spur Ranch! Directions: GPS Juniper Valley Spur....this is a short culdesac road with a road sign at the entrance off Juniper Valley Drive. There is a green pipe rail gate at the end. This gate has a combination lock. You will receive the current combination code 2 days before your arrival. If you are turning onto a dirt road without a sign....you are on the wrong road. Juniper Valley Spur is my short culdesac road with a road sign and a locked green pipe rail gate at the end. We have 3 RV sites available for campers to book. Please note that we do not have RV hookups for any of the sites. You will be parking on loose gravel and the sites are relatively flat. We can accommodate most RVs/trailers, if you are uncertain about the size just send me a message. There is a portapotty in the hay barn cleaned regularly and a water spigot for non-potable water uses or for a quick outdoor shower with a handheld spritzer. It is not enclosed so you will need to be discreet. Pets are allowed at campsites #2 and #3 only. These campsites are farthest from the horses and dogs. Please keep dogs on leash at all times. Our property offers a beautiful view of Mount Shasta. Nature lovers, extreme sports enthusiasts, family vacationers and retirees, can all enjoy the vast recreational opportunities this area has to offer. Lake Siskiyou is about 20 miles south and offers a wonderful 7-mile hiking trail around the entire lake. Bring your horses too. I have a couple of electric-fenced paddocks for visitors.

Lake Shasta is beautiful.The weather was perfect about 86 in the day and not very cold at night. We were a bit close to out neighboring campers. But it was fine. I do really strongly recommend to bring bug spray!!!!.Theres a lot of mosquitos mostly at night. All the sites have a fire pit, and theres a trash can nearby. We were only here for 2 nights one whole day and spend a lot of our day at the lake. We rented a ski boat and jet ski on the lake,I do recommend reserving one, also theres a couple of convenience stores on the lake and a restaurant cafe on Holiday Harbor which is down the road of Bailey cove. if you rent a boat and feel adventurous find little backbone creek, go upstream, theres a beautiful natural waterslide.West of the lake
