The drive down is a bumpy dirt road. I suggest coming during the day. There is a big friendly puppy that may visit you. But we can always come down and pick him up if wanted. The yurt comes with lanterns/flashlights/towels for the hot tub. And a clean cozy bed. A heater. Hot shower. There is a heater inside the yurt, The drive down is a five-minute dirt road. It all depends on how comfortable the driver is in their vehicle on a dirt road. We are located about 20 minutes from downtown Santa Barbara.

Don't expect luxury but Harmoney's camp is a fun and comfortable stay. SUV's are recommeded for the track down to the site but a regualr clearance car should be ok if you're careful. We managed the hike to the waterfall with two small kids (3 and 6) and a puppy who did not enjoy walking through water. We had to lift the kids and pup over big rocks a few times but we managed it. The waterfall was lovely. We travelled in June and it was refreshing but not crazy cold. Very pretty too. Take life jackets for the kids because it's deep. The hot tub service is recommended. It get's crazy hot (122f!!)! but you can cool it down to 110 in 10 mins or so with the cold water hose. It's also great that it's not chlorinated so you don't stink afterwards and you're not left with stinging eyes. The outdoor stove, hot outdoor shower and propane fire for smores are also great. If you want a rustic adventure but would prefer to sleep on a comfy bed without the hassle of pitching a tent Harmony's place is perfect.
This was a beautiful place. Equipped with everything we needed, easy to get to from the car and very private. The site rests on a sweet peaceful pool of water and you sleep to the sound of the river. Would love to come back!
Tubs, falls, and peaks
Love the outdoor shower and tub. It’s perfect at sunset. Cool view setting on the mountains. The hike to the waterfall is also not dog friendly! So make sure you are ok with limboing up, down, and around rocks along the creek that leads to the waterfall. The yellow arrows were nice. Make sure to be ware of the extended trail that goes past the waterfall. It is a loop back but it is pretty difficult and involves climbing up rocks. If you reach far enough you will climb a big rock/hill that if peaked and scaled down the other side, you would be 10 min from the end of the loop. It’s okay for the seasoned hikers but a bit advanced for easy going hikers.
Most comfortable camping experience
Nice secluded area, hot shower was a big plus! The yurt was clean and comfortable, outdoor kitchen area was perfect. Nice balance between camping and glamping. The road down and up is probably best for an AWD vehicle.
Relax and off the grid
Amazing yurt experience!
Complete privacy, camp stove, propane fire pit, propane heater (we did not use) in the yurt, 2 hammock, clean porter potty, wood fired hot tub right next to the swimming hole worth the extra money, private hot shower/tub up the hill, dog friendly and no internet connection. Totally off the grid. With all these amenities, it did not take away to be out in the woods. It will be hard to go back to rough camping.
Thank you to Harmony as she respond to every question we have.
One more fun thing was the off road on the way to Hipcamp, so ensure you have a 4x4.
Harmony’s property is beautiful! It was the perfect long weekend escape with such incredible activities. We took advantage of the jacuzzi and thoroughly enjoyed stargazing from the hot tub. The massage is a must- Julian is an amazing body worker! I’d highly recommend hiking to the waterfall and take the chilly plunge- it’s worth it. Everything was so well curated from the outdoor bathtub to the hammock in the trees- We will definitely return! :) <3
