Quite undisturbed forest for 1/2 a century, used for duck hunting in the previous owners family for decades. I’ve started building a small cabin that’s unfinished hopefully completing in the coming years. Fishing pond and small seasonal creek flows after lots of rain. Excited to share it with others! Note: Daylight arrival at least an hour before sunset recommended! FYI out of firewood at this time

  • Review summary

    Generated from real Hipcamper reviews

This campsite offers a tranquil escape with its peaceful pond and surrounding nature trails, making it ideal for those seeking solitude and a connection with nature. The site's primitive and rustic setup adds to its charm, though it may not suit everyone, as some visitors mentioned minor upkeep concerns. Despite this, the campsite's secluded environment and responsive host have been appreciated by many, making it a favored spot for families and solo campers alike. However, be prepared for potential noise from nearby neighborhoods, as some have experienced barking dogs and vehicles during their stay.

This place was amazing! My wife had never been camping before, and I haven’t been since I was a kid, so we really didn’t know what to expect. Alex was an amazing communicator and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. There was honestly a LOT more to this site than I expected. We booked the RV/Tent site, where I set up a tent in the back of my pickup. Alex also has a little cabin/shack with a porch overlooking the pond that he offered for us to use. He even let us take his little boat out on the pond, which gave my wife and me some quiet, romantic time together. The property was peaceful, secluded, and felt like our own little oasis. There are other tent sites, but we were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. Alex also had cooking tools, pots, pans, and other supplies available if needed. You can hear some dogs way off in the distance at night, but it didn’t bother us at all. Getting into the site is a little bumpy, so drive slowly and expect some mud if it has been raining. We went during dry weather with a truck and had no issues. If you want somewhere to disconnect and get away from the world, I HIGHLY recommend this place. We are DEFINITELY coming back and hope to bring our kids when they’re a little older!

Alex is an amazing host. If you wanna get away, be left alone and completely secluded, this is the spot to go to. We had a little mix up on my part with scheduling, and he was amazing about it he went above and beyond to accommodate us.
