We absolutely loved it, Ted was so friendly, passionate and very accommodating. We wish we could have stayed longer but we weren't able to due to work. But we will be back! Lovely quiet area, peaceful but with cute ducks around. Fires are allowed so we had a BBQ and just what we needed to get away from the world. No signal too or wifi which is why we chose it. 10/10 recommend!

Great location with amazing views in every direction. The site is located in a very peaceful area with lots of very friendly locals in the neighbouring villages. Ted was a great host and was very helpful and welcoming and gave us great advice on possible activities to do during our stay.

Wunderschöner, naturnaher Campsite. Herrliche Landschaft, viel Platz rund um die blühende Wiese. Alles sehr gepflegt. Sofort wieder!

Me and my partner had a fab time camping on Teds land! Great communication throughout with ted and we could even hire a fire pit and wood to keep warm in the evening. The views were incredible and we even had gorgeous ducks walking around the land which we loved! the location is within short driving distance to lovely towns like Dufton and a lovely walk called High Cup. We would definitely recommend!

From the greeting text before our stay to a friendly smile as we were setting up, was just lovely. Great facilities that were very clean and the site was lovely and well laid out. Great location for Beverly or the east coast.

We traveled just over an hour to get there and it was mine and my girlfriends first camp out we had done and it was great, really friendly owner and great site.

facilities are great and site staff are friendly. The shower is a good temperature and theres a fridge available in the pot washing room. There is a pub a short walk away that serves food and a little garden centre that also serves food.

Campsite was great, easy to find, clean and tidy. Not overcrowded or too busy. We stayed in our campervan onsite and used the toilet facilities.

David was super responsive & Richard was very helpful. Toilet was very clean, location great, overall we had a lovely time. I would definitely recommend!

Castle Howard Lakeside campsite is a peaceful, scenic spot perfect for tent camping. With lovely lake views, clean facilities, and easy access to Castle Howard, it’s a great mix of nature and history — ideal for a relaxing getaway. Ducks pop in for a small snack.
