Almost Heaven Riverfront North
My group enjoyed the weekend at Stoney Creek Campground. We will return again (and hopefully again). The river access is the best feature for us and what makes this location so special and unique. Thank you Andrey for hosting us.

Almost Heaven Riverfront Bridge
It was a fantastic experience camping here, especially by the side of river bed and clean water felt so good.
Just few things for future campers to note,
1. Being by the side of river bed nights were much colder then expected.
2. Limited number of bathrooms.
3. Trash disposal was challenging (But the land lord is coming with a solution in future).
4. Make sure to bring your own grill as addition to the one in camp site for large groups.

Almost Heaven Riverfront South
The south site was spacious with different options to put a tent or multiple tents. The views were amazing. Fire pit near the water so you could watch the fire while listening to the water. Private bathroom a short walk away along with the country store if you forget anything. We did stay on a busy weekend when some of the other sites had rather large groups. When we had an issue, Andrey was quick to respond and help. We already booked our next trip for a different site to try out this summer.

Almost Heaven Riverfront Bridge
The Bridge site was great for tent camping. The site provided ample grass for setting up tents. The facility was clean and it was an all around great place to stay.

Almost Heaven Riverfront Rocks
Cool River Bliss
What a lovely WV haven. There are four sites along the shore. We stayed with our RV at The Rocks which was a little removed from the water - because signs say vehicles cannot pass a certain point - (though tents can get closer) but with an incredible water view. It’s all shallow so you can walk in among the river rocks- great for explorative kids. The hosts graciously invited our little one to do some activities with their children. There is a nice playground, store and pavilion as well. I want to live on this river. What a relaxing location.

Almost Heaven Riverfront South
The Almost Heaven South site is a beautiful river front site that is quite spacious while at the same time feeling secluded. We heard a rooster more than we heard campers at the other sites. The fire pit with swing out grate was perfect for campfire cooking and the 2 picnic tables made it easy to enjoy the meal together. We all loved the convenience of having private (coded), clean bathrooms nearby. Andrey is a great host and super helpful and responsive. Will definitely come back again!

Great Place To Recharge
We stayed at the north campsite Oct. 31 until the following Saturday in our class a RV. Stunning views right on the water. Quiet peaceful & private. Couldn’t ask for a better host than Andrey.
We plan on coming back.

Almost Heaven Riverfront South
Spacious Beauty
The South site was quite spacious and we rarely heard campers at the other sites. You really can't find a better view than looking at the river and the forest. The fire pit with swing out grate was perfect for campfire cooking! Firewood is easily accessible at the camp store (a short walk away) but if you're adventurous, you can find lots of driftwood and smaller branches around the area. The designated bath house was the first I've experienced at a campground and it was nice to not have to share with others.
There was some noise over the bridge and from the surrounding houses but it quieted down at night. It is a bit of a drive to get to any hiking from this campsite so plan in advance. The camp store was minimally stocked but had some essentials, ice cream and beer. What else do you need? :) And everyone was very friendly.

A great spot near the water and just enough privacy from the other campers. It was just myself, my wife and our two dogs there but the space was quite large and would be excellent for groups. Camp store and the bathhouse were also huge pluses.

Almost Heaven Riverfront Bridge
Had a nice time camping with friends at the Almost Heaven Riverfront Bridge site. It's a nice spot for a quick and easy getaway to the country. The site itself is spacious and the river is steps away. This weekend in particular was quite lovely, since the fall leaves were in full color. Stargazing at night was also pretty spectacular. Having the camp store and dedicated bath house nearby are also big pluses. Thank you for being such a gracious host, Andrey.

Not private enough but beautiful scenery. Arrived Friday evening but couldn’t access bathroom facilities until noon Saturday. Bathroom was very cold, no heat. Very disappointed, way overpriced, even had to take the garbage back home with us. For $150.00 a day we expected a much nicer place, we won’t be back !!

Its Okay
Nearby neighborhood was very noisy, machines, chainsaws and small arms firing. Campsite needs an improved gravel bed around the firepit and mulching around the picnic tables. Did not receive the bathroom access code until after we were at the campsite, no internet or call service so...no access to the bathrooms. The Cacapon River is awesome!

Camping with friends
Great group campsite, very nice camp store with everything you might forget and/or need, the river access is great too. Host is very nice and accommodating. Bath house is nice addition with a place to do basic dishes and grab a quick shower. Plenty of day hikes that are a short drive away. Overall would camp here again!

We loved this camp site so much. We were 2 adults and 3 kids in a 23 foot travel trailer, and we had the best time. Right on the river, secluded enough to enjoy your privacy. Canoes available to rent. Fire ring with a swing away grill for cooking. The little store is a short walk away for supplies like ice and firewood, hot food, beer, and cell signal/WiFi. Bathrooms for toilets and shower are between the campsite and the little store. I can’t imagine camping anywhere else from now on! Thank you, Andrey!

Awesome site along the river
We had an awesome stay with friends and kids at the North site. Great river access, swimming, fishing, snorkeling, etc.
Plenty of space to spread out with 2 families and far enough away from other camp sites (only one within view probably 150 yards away though the woods) that it was very private. Camp store was super convenient as well!

Almost Heaven, a fitting name.
Our entire family had a great time at the Almost Heaven site. Right on the water. The closest site to the bathrooms and camp store. You get your own bathroom which is awesome. Everything was super convenient and the site was large enough for our 4 tents, but room for more. Andrey was a big help. Always around if you need anything and hooked us up with our kayaks and tubes, My son caught a few fish in the creek, and my youngest had fun on the giant tree swing (also right next to the site) Stony Creek Campground is a gorgeous place and the family that runs it will take care of you. We look forward to going back.

All the positive reviews we read matched our experience. Great location with a balance of many things we wanted in a camp site, seclusion with some amenities, great stream for kids to cool off in, plenty of privacy and room to spread out. We hope to return.

Super quiet and Peaceful! The lot was clean as were the bathrooms. The fishing was good caught a few nice catfish and a whole mess of Sunnys! Andrey was very helpful. I wasn't able to enjoy the tubing or any of that but I WILL BE BACK to enjoy those things next time!! Highly recommend!!
